I'd say it was an amazing experience I had in Mint Express, the service was nice, friendly receptionist and smoothly check in as per my early checking request, I was smoothly assisted and moreover Electric generator back up during load shedding was outstanding 👌💕 and the guide from the security was the best However there is still minor Improvement needed on the floor please add a floor carpet my feet where getting cold evertime getting off from the the bed had to step on the cold floor tiles but overall am happppyyy with my stay looking forward to the next vist Thank you... I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice quiet place to relax for weekend...

The staffs are very kind and welcoming. The room was comfortable and has a heater for cold nights.

No elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage on stairs.

While the location near the main road may come with some noise, this is a minor trade-off considering the many advantages. The proximity to malls, fast food outlets, and filling stations adds great convenience, making it an ideal choice for travelers. Overall, my experience was very positive, and I would definitely choose Mint again when in the area.

The establishment would benefit greatly from implementing noise-reducing units, as the current noise levels can be disruptive. Additionally, the policy of discouraging guests from hooting at the gate is understandable and courteous; however, the absence of an automatic gate-opening mechanism for guests presents a safety concern. Guests may feel vulnerable while waiting for the gate to be opened manually, especially in high-risk areas. While the staff strives to be prompt in opening the gate, enhancing security measures is a must

I loved the entire place, staff was exceptionally good. Very helpful. Extremely friendly. Apartment was always clean and neat. Clean towels were provided everyday. I will definitely recommend this place. I loved it. This is not a complaint. I was very happy here. Just a few things to be upgraded. Towels had a damp smell. Towels didn't smell clean enough. Just to use a better way of cleaning towels. Duvet needs to be upgraded, it's old, and covers r to huge for the inners. Bedding definitely needs more attention.

The hotel was perfect for our needs as we needed to be in close proximity to family for a celebration. The room was a good size & the linen & bed were most comfortable. The availability of cutlery, crockery & the extras was most useful & well supplied. The bathroom is a good size & the soap & cream was a lovely touch. Our request for a fan was easily met & it was delivered to the room in moments of our asking- with a smile & graciousness. The concierge was friendly & assisted us with the request of leaving our luggage in storage until we came back later. The kindness that was shown to us was most appreciated in our circumstances & we will definitely book again when we need to be at the venue around the corner- it was so convenient.

There was quite a noise in the morning before 7am of trolleys being pulled up & down the passages. There is no air con.

The check-in process was smooth and seamless, with the front desk readily available whenever needed. Housekeeping was friendly and respectful, and they even offered complimentary bag storage after checkout.

My booking was cancelled before I arrived at the guest house. Fortunately, they were available, so I could rebook upon arrival. The cancellation was due to not paying a half-price holding fee, which wasn't mentioned on Booking. com—only the option to pay now or later. It was an unfortunate mix-up, and I believe this issue needs to be addressed, as I’m likely not the only one who has encountered it. Nonetheless, I still rate my stay 10/10

This is an incredibly reasonably priced hotel, located in a very convenient part of town. Rosebank is mere minutes away; Sandton is a bit further off; the M1 is just a couple of traffic lights down the road. For the price-point, I really cannot think of a better option. Staff are incredibly kind and polite—even by South Africa's fantastic standard of customer service. The wi-fi worked well, there was hot water in the shower, and parking was safe and plentiful. I loved the vending machine in the corridor. This is not common in South Africa and was helpful when I wanted a little treat late at night and didn't wish to drive to the nearest gas station.

The hotel's rooms are similar to many apartments in Johannesburg—namely, the doors aren't noise-proof and there are ventilation shafts above the doors. This means that corridor noise often filters into the room, along with smoke when people are smoking in public spaces. Not a deal-breaker, but maybe something to keep in mind for those that are light sleepers or dislike the smell of second-hand smoke.

The cleanliness and comfortability. The guy we checked in with and the lady we checked out with at the reception were very nice and warm. The facility and our room looked exactly the way they displayed it in pictures.

We didn't know they do housekeeping hence we even tidied up ourselves. so we were just chilling and relaxed when the housekeeping lady came and said she wanted to clean. Then we asked her to give us just 2 minutes so we can dress decently and give her space to clean but she wasn't nice she was so persistent at knocking and kept emphasizing that she wants to clean.
