My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Millbury Guest House! This place is simply amazing, with charming old-school decor that adds so much character. The beautiful backyard and the pool are perfect for relaxing, and our room was massive and incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was a real treat—delicious and freshly prepared. The hosts were wonderful, attentive, and so welcoming, going above and beyond to make our stay special. They gave us great recommendations on what to do in the area and even booked dinner for us. We highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone looking for a memorable and cozy experience!

Our stay at the Mulberry Guest House was exceptional. From the warm welcome by the hosts to the beautiful and quaint setup, every detail was perfect. The rooms were spacious and cozy, making for a comfortable stay during the cold winter. The hosts went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, whether it was arranging early golf tee-off times or catering to dietary requirements. Breakfast was a delightful experience, freshly made and served in a charming setting. Overall, it truly felt like home, and we couldn't have asked for a better stay.

Not only is this property beautiful and the rooms comfortable and clean but the host and hostess are SO warm and welcoming. Hennie helped us with our Garden route trip at breakfast and gave us a lot insightful information that we wouldn’t have otherwise known. He has this amazing map ( that you won’t find anywhere else ) that’s 5m long and he has taken the trouble of designing it just to help out people who come visiting South Africa . We checked in a bit late at night but they were very helpful nonetheless. The warm water and electricity is not an issue because they have solar. Everything in the room was perfect. Breakfast in the morning was warm and cosy in the main dining area and Hailey made amazing eggs and bacon for us. It was just an overnight stay but I cannot recommend this property enough ♥️ We left for our trip the next day and I cannot wait to see them and their lovely dog Story again .

Stay 26.02-28.02.24 What a wonderful stay with Hennie and Hayley. Extremely friendly, attentive, helpful and lovable. Hennie in particular gives very good tips for activities in the region but also generally interesting travel information for South Africa. Very nice and warm atmosphere in the Millbury Guesthouse, whose gardens are decorated with great attention to detail. Certainly in the top 3 of the 9 accommodations on our trip lasting several weeks in South Africa. We felt very comfortable here and will be back on a future stop in P.E. will definitely book with Hennie and Hayley again. Eckhard and Maria Germany

The host couple Hailey and Henny gave us a friendly welcome, and good service. The room was very nice, clean and spacy, with all comfort needed. The beds had electric under-blankets, so nice in wintertime. We appreciated the fridge and the "honesty snack" provision ("we trust our guests"). Breakfast was prepared and served specially for us. Very good location, neat neighborhood, the hotel compound is well protected yet access was swift and friendly. The heating unit worked well.

Beautiful property with immaculate gardens and gorgeous spotless and well stocked rooms in a great neighborhood. Exceptional service. Hennie and Hayley provided us with a perfect breakfast and spent a significant amount of time helping us plan the rest of our trip. They made us feel at home and comfortable throughout our stay. We were really sad to leave, we would have loved to stay more.

We had absolutely no complaints and will definitely stay here again.

The property is gorgeous, full of beautiful plants and birds. The room we had was lovely and most comfortable for sleeping and the breakfast excellent. Proximity to the golf course meant we could have morning walks and stop for coffee at Jacks Bagels. But the absolute best part is the wonderful hosts, Hayley and Hennie. They simply have a sincere desire to make your stay everything that you could hope for.

Hennie and Hailey are very kind and openminded hosts with a great sense of hospitality. During our short stay, we had very interesting conversations with them and they gave us some excellent advices regarding restaurants and things to see in the Port Elizabeth area. The guest house is lovely, with a beautiful and very peaceful garden, located in a nice and safe area. Our room was very spacious and impeccably clean. The bed was very large and comfortable. We also enjoyed the freshly prepared breakfast in a picturesque dining area. We would choose Millbury Guest House again when going to back Port Elizabeth and happily recommend it to family and friends. Thanks a lot Hennie and Hayley and hope to see you again some day.

Our experience couldn't have been better! The guesthouse was set in a lovely, secluded, gated garden. It was easy to find, near main arteries of the city, but tucked away on a very quiet street. The room was immaculately clean and provided a microwave, refrigerator, water and snacks, and toiletries. We appreciated their efforts to mitigate load-shedding with limited internal electricity and water heating for when the country's systems go down. The cooked-to-order breakfast every morning was wonderful. The best part was the friendship we felt from Hennie and Hayley. They were extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations and general conversation to help us understand the area and culture. This is a dream guesthouse in every way that I would heartily recommend. We stayed for three nights and felt very well cared for. I really couldn't imagine a better experience. They truly care about their guests and it shows.

The perfect location to stay in Port Elizabeth. We stayed for two nights to visit Addo and start the Garden Route. Close to the airport and good, safe parking spaces. Also close to beaches, shops and anything else you might need. Check in was smooth with Hennie and Hayley extremely friendly, informative and really making our trip memorable. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Excellent services with TV, WiFi, A/C and more. Comfortable, large beds. Bathroom was clean, spacious and good, warm showers. Breakfast was impeccable - yogurt and fresh fruit with granola, followed by a cooked breakfast. Juices and hot drinks. The pool was clean and a great start to the day. Beautiful gardens and flowers. Overall, everything was perfect and really made our trip to Port Elizabeth unforgetable. Don't hesistate to stay here if you get the chance! Hennie and Hayley are the best.
