Excellent location right in the heart of Barcelona, apartment was modern and well equipped, easy access using the contactless check in, absolutely delighted with our stay I didn’t want to leave this apartment. I was quite apprehensive after other reviews about noise & uncomfort, I did not experience either of those things. Communication from the host was impeccable, we were given early check in and received a phone call to check on us daily.

Two single beds rather than a double, as is the case in a lot of Spain. This would’ve been a nice luxury but didn’t change my opinion on the apartment

Could do with a couple of comfortable chairs, but it wasn't a major problem.

The room has a wonderful original Spanish vibe. We loved the location and the fantastic bars and restaurants in the area. The electronic access worked really well...

Location and the privacy.

Had some wishes about the room, none of them was met!

Property was good. Access was easy. Great to have a lift in the property. It was clean.

We were originally only given one set of towels for 8 days. We needed a change and had to ask for them to be changed. 8 days is very unhygienic to use the same towels. There was no tea towel for drying up our dishes. We needed instructions to operate the coffee machine. The cups provided didn’t fit the coffee machine. We needed two smaller cups also. Two bottles of water in the fridge would have been a nice thing for us on arrival. (This has been done by others properties)

It had a good proximity to center city but I didn’t realize how noisy and difficult it was to maneuver. It was especially difficult understanding instructions because booking sent different ones then the emails I directly received.

The difference of instruction to enter, lack of direction to what all needed to be done to enter multiple doors, I was given multiple property locations via email and booking.com. When I did call the property number it never went through. I luckily got let in and shown the ropes by other tenants and otherwise would have not been good. When I finally got in, the toilet was running non-stop, outside was constantly loud, and the a/c was out. When I emailed the property the first full day I was there, it took them until the night before I left to respond…. So not responsive. I’d not recommend or book again.

Perfect location although noisy …

The bed …the pillows, I had two twin mattresses pushed together and the crack in the middle was unbearable. The mattress was hard, the pillows were thin, it was extremely uncomfortable. The lighting also was very strong, too harsh at night. As for the shower: The hot water ran out after 7 minutes or so and the towels provided were thin and uncomfortable. The fridge also smelt pretty bad even though it was empty most of the time … I usually don’t care to watch tv while I am away, but most places have a smart Tv - and here there was absolutely nothing to watch. As for the internet , at night it was extremely slow…

The loactaiopn in the Gothic Quarter was ideal.

The communication was poor to say the least. Examples from the issue we had entering the property, the detail requested (a few times) on the nearest metro station (never received the detail), to teh request for fresh towels after fours days - all were poorly attended to. Plus the shower flooded ever time we used it - very disappointing.

the air conditioning stopped working the second day and moreover we paid for a balcony that wasn’t there, kinda disappointed
