A really cool and quirky hostel with the most helpful and friendly staff. It felt really safe and was nice and quiet despite being in a really vibrant area. Lovely kitchen with excellent facilities and free coffee/tea is a great touch! Lovely location with plenty of restaurants, bars and bakeries around. Joanic metro only a few minutes by foot. Also, an amazing restaurant at the end of the street called El Glop which was sensational. I highly recommend this hostel.

Can't really fault anything. The room was long but not particularly wide so there was a little struggle with big suitcases but we managed.

Excellent location, we walked all the way down to the beaches (not a short walk, but we managed just fine with our 8 and 11 year old daughters). If you prefer you can take the metro of course, very easy. Super helpful staff that will make sure you get the most out of your stay in Barcelona. Very clean place, awesome kitchen. Free delicious coffee is a nice bonus. If you have a car there is plenty of safe underground parking a 7 minute walk from the hostel. You'll receive a significant discount at the parking garage and will pay for it at the hostel. So don't be alarmed when you see the published rates at the parking garage.

Unrelated to the hostel really, driving around Barcelona can be quite stressful.

I loved the overall ambiance at the hotel, the staff was very agreeable and friendly. A handy system of lockers with electronic keys makes it easy to access/protect your personal stuff (as well as allow you to not feel annoyed for having forgotten your personal lock ahah). The common kitchen area is very nice and I always found the space enjoyable and clean to cook. A good terrace and space to work makes this place a good place to stay as well, if you need to work remotely during your stay and enjoy a calmer time in between visits. The location is super good as well, all close to various restaurant and bars in the old village quarter of Gracia ! And the closest Metro station is only a 5min walk away :) A very good experience! Recommend !

Sometimes, the bunkbeds could be a bit noisy if one's move a lot. But the noise is very tolerable and quite normal for a stay in a youth hotel in a room with multiple people :)

First and foremost, I was desperate to find something to stay in. Luckily I was able to stumble upon Casa Jam! I liked everything about the property. It was clean, comfortable and pleasant to stay. The kitchen was my favorite part! It’s spacious and every person gets to store their food. Additionally, I felt super safe. I worried I might get robbed or something, but I felt very secure and relaxed. They also have these areas where you get to relax, which is fantastic. I especially grew fond of the terrace!

I don’t think there was anything I didn’t like :)

The location was excellent. Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia both walking distance. Supermarkets and places to eat nearby. Public transport a few minutes walk away. All areas were very clean and comfortable. The kitchen area was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lockers big enough to fit my carry-on size suitcase. I requested a bottom bed and they were able to accommodate my request.

No curtains on the bunk beds. Another toilet and shower would have been good, but it wasn't a huge problem.

It was a really quiet hostel, even when the room was near the kitchen. The linen was clean and gets changed when you stay a certain amount of time which is really nice. Also, the lockers are big enough for the luggage and secured with the key card you get for the room. The hostel isn't really close to the city center but it's near a metro station and thus you just need like 20 minutes in total to get the the gothic quarter. The kitchen is well equiped, clean and really big.

There were no privacy curtains, which was really annoying. The rooms were completely white which gave them a kind of sterile look, too.

Really close to Joanic station, which links up to other metro lines, so wherever you need to go, it's easy. Room and shared areas were very clean. Lovely patio, that unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time to enjoy as we were out most of the day. Any requests were dealt with immediately (I asked for an extra pillow, for example). One night we had noisy neighbours and as soon as I mentioned it to the young man at reception it was dealt with. Other than that, it is a very quiet place. The shared kitchen was supplied with tea and coffee from an organic, eco-friendly store close to Casa Jam. Proper tea leaves (black and green tea) and excellent coffee. No instant coffee at Casa Jam :-) In the shared area, there is also a section for younger kids with a bean bag, table assorted books (and I think toys?). My kids are in their teens so we didn't pay attention. There're some shelves with books in different languages, a deck of cards and a couple of board games. The staff is friendly, and there's always somebody around.

I loved everything about my stay at Casa Jam Barcelona! I felt at home right away. The staff was so friendly especially Sara who gave me a detailed description of where I should go and what I should do during my time in Barcelona! I was so happy that what I saw on the photos was exactly what the hostel looked like. It’s spacious and enough room for relaxing and taking a break. The free tea and coffee was a treat. The kitchen was stocked with all appliances needed to cook a great meal. The room was clean when I arrived and cleaned every day I was there. Absolutely can’t stop talking about my time at Casa Jam with my friends and family. Can’t wait to visit again!

The only thing that surprised me was that the bathroom for the dorms was down the hall and not attached to the dorm room. It wasn’t a train smash but just something I didn’t know beforehand. My bed was also very squeaky when I moved and I woke up with back pain but I think it was just my bed. All the other dorm mates were happy with their bed! (Could just be my old age hehe)

The staff was so friendly and helpful!! I appreciated tips on where to eat and what to see. I appreciated the location in the neighborhood. It wasn't too far to the metro and it felt more local than touristy which I always enjoy. I also liked the terrace and eating out in the open air.

The thing I liked least was that the metal bunk beds in the women's only dormitory creaked & squeaked at the slightest movement. So when the person above you moved you heard it and even when I moved or rolled from my side to my back the beds creaked.

I had a pleasant experience at Jam Barcelona! The shared kitchen is kept nice and clean, and there's enough light in the rooms as well as storage space. I unfortunately got sick during my stay, but thanks to the people at the reception, especially Iwona and Lucia, I was given the space to recover with privacy and proper care until my flight back. The whole team is super caring and I appreciate the human touch - it made all the difference to me, as travelling solo and becoming sick is never the right match!
