The best location! Right in the heart of the old Barcelona. You step outside and see a beautiful cathedral. There are tons of shops and restaurants. The breakfast one was the best I’ve had at hotels. Friendly staff helped me with a locker.

We chose this hostel based on the good reviews and the excellent location in the gothic quarter and it definitely met our expectations. The room was small but comfortable with a good bed, cooling and shower. I really enjoyed the little balcony to sit out on, have a drink and watch the people go by in the street below. Location can be noisy however it's great in terms of accessing public transport and walking along La Ramblas and heading to the central market. The included breakfast was excellent with a good variety given the small space available. We didn't try the onsite restaurant (with the exception of breakfast) but what we saw looked excellent.

Unfortunately the front glass door of the hotel had been smashed just prior to our arrival and the location is such that it is a bit of a thoroughfare for people drunkenly walking home, so we felt a little bit uneasy in this area - that said, it's an area I've stayed in before so I was kind of expecting it. Also, the hostel itself has good security measures and a 24 hour front desk so, despite anything that was going on in the street, we always felt safe inside.

Although this is a small place, for the price and location, it really is a good deal. The location is ideal as El Born is the best area in Barca to me, and you are never far from anything. There is a metro station at either end of the road and tons of restaurants and bars all around. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was wonderful, wish we had eaten dinner restaurant next door! Access to the waterfront was within walking distance.

We were warned elevator would not be working, so slow going for me up the stairs. We arrived fairly late, but a good Samaritan on the street led us to front door and warned about pickpockets, which we never encountered!

Not really spacious

After considering the price and location, I did not expect much from this hotel. I was afraid that it could be a party centre for the international youth off La Rambla. But I couldn't be more wrong. I travelled with my wife and 2 y.o. toddler, and we didn't have any complications. Quite the opposite. We really benefitted from the friendly service, spotless hygiene, amazing breakfast and unbeatable location. I will certainly return on my next visit to Barcelona.

There is not much I didn't like. The place is fantastic, however, I would only recommend a better setting for business travellers who might require a more fitting infrastructure for work.

This is a hostel; not a place for a romantic getaway but relatively cheap (for the location), friendly, clean and comfortable. We had private room and bathroom, as good as any cheaper hotel, with good, simple buffet breakfast included. Staff were friendly and very helpful and the hostel is in an excellent location in Gothic quarter and very close to La Rambla.

nothing really; a little noisy (from street outside), but that's what you get in such a central location. Bed was comfortable but pillows a bit hard for me. I didn't ask if they had any softer ones though.

Booked here to bring my mum for her 50th birthday and honestly, this place was absolutely brilliant! Exceeded my expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff were so friendly and helpful. I had previously messaged to request a room with a balcony and they provided us with just that. The room was so modern and fresh, the beds (and pillows) were super comfy!! The location of the hotel is SO close to La Rambla and a stones throw away from the Gothic quarter. As for value for money, it was exceptional! We had a buffet breakfast included and it was so tasty with plenty of options from croissants, cold meats, bread, to cereal, fruit yogurts avocado and tomatoes and boiled eggs. Absolutely loved our stay, and I would definitely book again when I come back to Barcelona!

Only thing that slightly let it down was the lack of drink making facilities in the room, we would have loved a kettle just to make a cup of tea when we came back but this doesn't stop me from giving the best rating! Just something I would recommend for the rooms!

Rooms were very nice, quite spacious (even the bathroom) - was larger than most more expensive places I've stayed! Rooms appear to have been recently renovated. Bed was particularly comfortable. The location was unbeatable and staff were very friendly and helpful - they went out of their way to assist with an issue I had with the room (electrical malfunction - seemed to be something that started while/shortly before I arrived and has probably been fixed already).

This was a very central location in Gothic Quarter to easily walk around the city and down to the harbour and beach. Close to shopping, restaurants, bars and tourist attractions. Our room was the exact one in the advertising pictures with a balcony directly opposite the church stained glass window and it overlooked the street below which was delightful. The room was basic but comfortable and easy for two travellers. Breakfast was simple but generous with coffee/juices fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, yoghurt, bread and sandwich fillings, and it was easy to access for yourself at a time that suited you. Staff were friendly and helpful with organising early transfers to the airport.

Would have loved tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Just a kettle etc.
