First of all, we would like to say that this hotel is an excellent choice due to the location, since it is literally 50 meters away from the main street “La Rambla”! Besides, the staff is kind and friendly, and above everything else diligent and well organized. We had our towels and sheets changed on a daily basis, and room cleaned as well. Everyone, from receptionist, to the kitchen staff were friendly and eager to help with anything. Also, guests are allowed to put their belongings and suitcases in a storage room until the time of departure. We stayed for four nights and are looking forward to coming back at the same place next time we visit this lovely city! Hasta luego! 🌊🌴🇪🇸

Sometimes the cards for entering the room are glitching so that might be the only thing to check out. Other than that everything was exceptional!

I love the place and the staff.. the breakfast was perfect and very tasty. The location was better than we expected .. the room was a bit small, but very beautiful..

The only thing we didn't like is that we found a pair of socks under the bed wich were not ours. I think that the woman who cleans the room was in a hurry when she did ours. Also, two towels in the bathroom had red hair on them, my hair is black sooo.. I don't know exactly what happened..

Great location but enough metres from Las Ramblas to be very quiet. Liceu Metro station, La Boqueria market and lots of eateries and bars very close. Good value. Great staff, who speak excellent English for those who need it. Small but reasonably comfortable rooms. Good breakfast with lots of choices, for €9.90. It is the third time we have stayed here, which is a good recommendation.

Having the shower over a tiny bath (too small to lie in) made access hard for my wife, who is disabled. We couldn’t use it without the floor getting quite wet. A walk-in shower would use the space more efficiently, be easier to use, and would keep the floor dry.

The main advantage was the position, located just on the corner with the main street La Rambla. The room was a bit small and modest, but we had everything we needed like hairdryer, toiletries and it was clean. The maids made our bed every day. It was a bit noisy, as we could hear the other guests talking on the hallway. It is not for the picky, but a good stay, central, close to the main turist spots.

Location is fantastic, staff were really friendly and helpful. They spoke great English, and other languages too. The room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was extra, which I knew when I booked, but was only €7 which is outstanding value especially as it was a really good breakfast with the full English and continental plus cereal etc.

I have stayed in this hotel before but because it was a very busy week in Barcelona with a big convention, the rate was more than triple the rate I paid last time.

The staff at Hotel Moderno could not have been more helpful during my stay. They also accommodated taking a night off my stay with a refund for that evening, despite having no cancellation option on my booking. Very accommodating and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again given its location and the helpfulness of the staff.

Close to everything, good value for money even if the breakfast was not included.

The safe didn't work so we had to ask for help several times. finally they changed the batteries of the lock. The room was probably meant for 2 people but they put 3 beds in it for us so there was not that much space. but otherwise good.

Breakfast was lovely and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast waiter was a lovely man who kept the buffet well stocked. The hotel was in an excellent location and handy for the transport links.

Room needed a bit of love and attention. The floor was very worn and shabby. The maids kept it beautifully clean though so not an issue.

Loved the location. Staff were all lovely and friendly. Room was small but well laid out and very clean with daily maid service. Bed was comfortable. Room was also very quiet, no street noise to disturb us. Like the automatic inclusion of a room safe with no need for deposits etc. Great touch.

The "courtyard view" was less than inspiring and the plastic roof left no way for us to assess the weather each morning.. Luckily we don't spend a lot of time in the room other than to sleep so not a major issue but would have appreciated a little effort with the aesthetic.

The location is close to perfect, good breakfast and there's a roof access which is really cool

View from a "window" inside a room is to some inner building's shaft, you won't be able to see anything but concrete walls. The wall in the toilet is paper thin. I could hear every word of people talking there while doing my things
