What’s not to like about this little gem in Barcelona. the location is great, the rooms spacious, and the staff exceptional. We were in room # 3 and will request that room when we return next year. We had absolutely everything we needed in this large room which was cleaned every day we requested. A shout out to Pablo who was most frequently the desk clerk, advice giver, directions for everything sharer, and all around good guy. There is a Metro station a block and 1/2 away, and at the same place you can get busses to the Plaza Espana area where the Olympics were held. All sites in Barcelona are easy to get to from this location. We are walkers so did a lot of walking. You can’t go wrong choosing the Violeta Botique.

There is nothing not to like here, so I’ll just go on with positives. I must mention, in addition to Pablo, the adorable and lovely lady who cleaned our room every day. There is an elevator here and the area is safe and secure day and night.

We stayed here for 5 nights - 2 adults and a child. From the moment we arrived we felt at ease and loved the decor. Pablo checked us in and he could not have been nicer or more helpful. Even before we arrived the staff were so accommodating in facilitating a quiet room looking out at the garden terrace. The location is so central yet quiet and we felt very safe in this area. It is 2 mins walk from Urquinaona L1 metro and 5 mins walk from Plaça Cataluyna with lots of travel options from there. Our room was very spacious with a separate seating area with fridge, kettle and coffee maker. The beds are very comfortable, big fluffy bath towels, good shower and bottles of water provided every day..Housekeeping was excellent and room spotlessly clean. Coffee, orange juice and pastries every morning in communal space are complimentary. We couldn't fault this accommodation it was perfect for our stay and location .was ideal.

If you traveling with a pram/baby, there is a lift followed by few steps to get into the accommodation.

The traffic noise is horrible...very busy street. Not the hotel's fault (if you want to be central then it's likely to be in a noisy area) but if you're noise sensitive it could be an issue.

Location from the Catalunya Airport Bus was close by. As well, there is a tourist office at Catalunya to assist with maps etc.. The hotel location has many nearby restos to enjoy. The room was comfortable and clean with small balcony looking out onto street below. The front desk staff helpful and courteous, when needing to call a cab for our next day's early departure to return to the Airport. Nice terrace at the back of the building . We were celebrating our anniversary and a bottle of prosecco was in our room upon arrival. Very nice gesture on their part! . The location was difficult to find upon arrival...small signage above the wooden door.

We found the breakfast was hit and miss. There were croissant for the guests and espresso machine upon arrival,. the following morning there were no croissant/coffee. The cleaning lady had to call someone to alert them to the fact that the breakfast items were missing. Not a big deal however as there were many coffee shops in the area. On of our favorites was the El Glop. Paella and catalan saussages were our favorites !

Room was well appointed with hanging space and a nice bed. Lots of room to unpack and a very spacious and well fitted bathroom. Cute design and the common areas were lovely. Staff even occasionally spoil guests with breakfast snacks and other treats, though this depends on the day and shouldn't be expected, was a nice touch given we didn't pay for anything like that! Great spot - very easy to get to all the major attractions and amazing restaurants nearby!

Honestly very little needs improving, perhaps just arranging check-in could be made easier, but we did arrived outside of hours so we weren't expecting the red carpet!

The staff at Violeta Boutique are very friendly and welcoming. On arrival, they gave us lots of tips for getting around the city, which was really helpful! Lovely big beds, nicely sized rooms and a decent en-suite. It's a great central location for exploring all the sites of Barcelona and ideal for first-time visitors like us! Tea and coffee facilities in the room and they also had a complimentary pastry/juice/coffee offer in the mornings, which was a nice touch.

Unfortunately, like often in big cities, the walls are very thin and the noise carries. Some very noisy guests next door spoilt our stay a little. Ear plugs recommended if you're a light sleeper. They've attached the bedhead to the wall rendering some of the plug sockets unusable, but there were plenty of others elsewhere in the room. Lastly, the air conditioning is controlled centrally and affected three of the rooms. We got quite warm in the nights but didn't feel able to go and change the settings.

We had a two bedroom suite with an incredible outdoor roof top deck. The larger or primary bedroom of the suite was well laid out and had a nice ensuite bathroom. The little kitchen was handy but could have used a cutting board. Everything worked well. All of the staff here were charming and very helpful!

The second bedroom in the suite needed a dresser to put things on and in. It also needed better side tables and these needed lamps as all of the lights in the room came on or off together and these were very bright which was nice except when your spouse was asleep and you needed to get up you had to to do so in pitch black or wake them up by turning on the lights..

The staff was so friendly and helpful! We arrived a few hours early to store our luggage and he let us check in then and gave us a so much great information about Barcelona, food recommendations and a map of the city. The room was spectacular and has an amazing view from the terrace. It’s just as beautiful as the pictures show and there’s also another rooftop for guests to hang out. They serve coffee and pastries in the morning, although we left too early in the morning to enjoy them. It’s in a great location downtown, near many restaurants, shops, and the bus to the airport. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is very nice and spacious! Plus the hotel rate is so cheap for everything you get from staying there.
