Great Old Lady Hotel just outside Alhambra grounds. The regular tickets to Alhambra were unavailable (book early to avoid disappointment) and the concierge did a great job in getting us private tour and tickets. Thank you, Pablo and Nice for arranging this.

One could expect higher quality items for breakfast in a 5* hotel. For example the Jamon Iberico seems that it was from the supermarket and not cut from the leg itself in the hotel. Tuna Tartar before dinner was awful. All-in-all for the price paid the food was not meeting the expectations.

Excellent breakfast and excellent location. We also were very impressed with the staff. Exceptional service. They gave us wonderful restaurant recommendations. Beautiful view. Granada was my favorite stop in Spain.

Don’t have dinner at the restaurant as the food doesn’t match the breakfast quality. Ask the staff where to eat. It’s clear they had to stuff a modern bathroom into an old design and while they tried their best the shower was comical for my 6’5” husband. His shoulders couldn’t fit in the shower without spraying water on the floor. However the location and service made up for this issue that they couldn’t help.

Proximity to Alhambra complex.

The hotel is outdated and for sure doesn’t deserve 5*. It seems the pictures on Booking and on the official website are taken at least 10 years ago, carpeting and furniture needs replacing, some facilities seem fully wasted. What frustrated us most was that in spite of informing the hotel upon our late arrival, no one bothered to inform us that there will be a marathon and we had to wait 2 hours in order to reach the hotel and the city center itself, respectively everything was closed for dinner.

The hotel was a piece of history and close to the town. We enjoyed a meal on the terrace and watched the sun go down to celebrate the birthday of our twins and myself. The staff are so friendly and put you at ease. The breakfast was amazing and you could have eaten anything before a great day out at the Alhambra and cathedral. They were so helpful with any little request and made some magical memories for all of us. Would definitely recommend

I could not criticise at all

- The building is incredibly beautiful. It's like being in a dream - Very good location. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Alhambra. To reach the city center you can take a bus (the stop is right in front of the hotel) and it takes around 10-13 minutes. You can also walk or take a taxi. - The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful green area filled with trees,water springs. - Our room was very nice, spacious, clean. - Very good and varied breakfast with a beautiful view of the entire city. - Very amable staff.

Fantastic location with a great view over the city of Granada from our room and from the terrace. The staff are very attentive and friendly with a professional approach. Hotel decor is beautiful and I sometimes felt as if I was in an Arabian film. Lovely toiletries replenished daily. Please note, to achieve the amazing view, the hotel is at the top of a steep hill (close to the Alhambra Palace) but can easily be accessed via small, local buses that run every 10 to 15 minutes, never long to wait.

Breakfast was buffet style and although there was plenty of choice I would have liked to have seen a chef at breakfast providing freshly cooked eggs as is normally offered at 5* hotels. Hot drinks were also self service from Nespresso machine which provided hot water for self service tea. I would have liked a pot of tea made with loose tea leaves. Please provide a teaspoon in the room rather than a wooden stirrer. Would have preferred a shower cubicle to a shower over the bath.

From the moment I arrived I was made welcome. This is one of those hotels where the staff are incredibly helpful, polite and pleasant. All requests, however tedious, were met with kindness and consideration. They were good at suggesting restaurants. One in particular on my last night was absolutely marvellous. The food was good, rather as you might expect from such a smart place. It is a great location for the Alhambra and also visiting Granada. The room was great and the view magnifique.

I knew there wasn't a swimming pool when I booked, so what was not disappointed exactly, but I think if there were a pool it would enhance what was already a great place. I did have one small irritation with my room key, which kept not working, but it was resolved

After a long train ride, we arrived early but were welcomed to our room after we had breakfast overlooking the city of Granada at the hotel restaurant. The room was spacious, immaculately clean and luxuriously comfortable with amazing air conditioning and a city view upgrade. Upon our departure, we were gifted a beautiful anniversary book about the long history of the hotel which I sadly lost on the train -- but not until after I read and enjoyed the entire thing on the long ride back to Madrid.

Fantastic location the hotel is a destination in itself and breakfast buffet was as good as anywhere I stayed globally. (60+ countries) The staff make us feel welcome and were very kind to our 8 year old. We could tell by how the staff interfaces with us they were very competent and experienced. It’s not a flashy hotel modern hotel but is very comfortable ,relaxing and easy to stay in. Nice spacious room for us and our son !

Nothing I can think of overall exceeded expectations

Proximity to La Alhambra. Most front desk staff were lovely - if only Maria Theresa could be there in every hotel we stayed at. Student Brianna gave us a great welcome. 3 pleasant French students also. The men were excellent also. Bar area good for tapas. Bus service excellent. Recommendations good (Thanks MT).

Bit cut off, need taxi or bus to get to places to eat. Restaurant soulless so we ate out. One senior member of staff was the exception - could not say hello in morning back to us. Snacks on terrace not good and coffee drunk long before tasteless cake arrived. However staff responded well to our complaint about the cake!
