Breakfast was simple and good. Location is a little outside centre of Güeñes - but there is not a lot in the centre. However, it made a pleasant walk from hotel to centre and then back via the 'back road' looking down on the river and back to hotel. We were on an overnight stop to the Bilbao ferry - this was about 25 minutes away on a Sunday morning. As has been said before, there is a parrot who 'sings' and the staff are wonderful but don't speak English - our Spanish was OK, thankfully. The restaurant was good value.

At the meal, the server had a hand written menu which she read out to us - letting us see the written word would have helped as my Spanish is not native speaker level but I can read it better.

This is a very local hotel, it's ideal for a last night before the bilbao ferry, the scenery is amazing, the staff and the owner were so friendly and welcoming, the rooms are basic, but comfortable and with a large portable heater, breakfast was buffet and inexpensive, the evening meal was reeal spanish fare. My motorcycle was very safe in the open car park.

It's used by 24h workers so be prepared for heavy boots at all hours, sleep with earplugs

This was an excellent choice to overnight at before heading to Bilbao for the morning ferry. It’s basic but at the price it was a real bargain. It's looking a bit tired, but the people couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. We also had a meal there that was very cheap, and the breakfast had an excellent selection. Bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of parking at the front.

Great location with magnificent views, next door to Basque Biodesign Centre. The room was very large with extra living room and comfortable bathroom. The room had a heater. I only missed tea/coffee making facilties in the room and hair conditioner. Hotel restaurant was convenient too, as there aren't any other places to eat nearby.

Room was spacious, bed massive, bath and shower, breakfast one of the better breakfast buffets. Manager extremely helpful even though we did not soothe same language. On bus route to Bilbao centre

Nice surroundings, in the middle of nature. Good parking space in front of the hotel. Very kind staff, I could practice my spanish a bit 😊. Good size room, clean and with comfortable bed.

Huge free parking. Quiet and stunningly beautiful location not so far from Bilbao, but getting by car is recommended. Excellent service. Sparkling clean. Singing parrot.

Room (master suite almost) superb, clean with jacuzzi bath. Breakfast sets you up for the day. Lovely village with sculpture park. Easy walk to train station for travel to Bilbao

Nothing we would change

Room 101 has a jacuzzi bath, a massive bed and vaulted ceilings. Absolutely gorgeous! Also, a parrot lives in the restaurant and the wine is very affordable!

Absolutely nothing, I loved this hotel, even if it is a little far from town.

The hotel is perfect for a stopover before catching the ferry. The staff at reception and in the bar were super friendly. The views are stunning in this lovely little hotel.

It was a great overnight stay. No complaints.
