Staff was friendly and helpful. The reception, breakfast team and the cleaning lady that said hello everyday. The rooftop is nice even if the bar was not open everyday because of low occupation understandably.

The room had hairs on the floor and in the shower. As well as dusty shelf's. And it looked a bit runned down with half fallen off towel hangers. The shampoo and conditioner dispensers are a good idea but work poorly.

The room was pretty spacious, you could see the port from the window and also there is a rooftop bar in the buildig. The stuff was friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfy (not too hard or not to smooth mattress).

We spent there a Saturday night and there is an open-door club nearby, you could here some slight music during the night but it was OK. You are in the downtown hotel in a busy area, these things can happen. We could sleep though.

location was excellent for new & old towns, for sea side walks & to bus stations.

catering staff were excellent as well as reception staff who were well informed and helpful housekeeping staff did not meet basic standards. no shower mat to step out of shower onto to prevent slip & fall. my night dress went missing during a change in bed linen. I reported this to reception but no follow up.

The staff at Occidental are very friendly and helpful (one even remembered my birthday despite having only seem my passport briefly). The room itself was very spacious & modern; with an extremely comfortable bed and plenty of places to plug things in as well as decent storage for clothes. It is located fairly close to the main shopping area and wasn't even too far from the airport by taxi (the trip cost me around €28). There's even a stop for the local tour bus about 3 minutes walk behind the hotel. The roof-top bar was a nice place to relax as the end of the day.

The air-conditioning controls were a bit hit & miss, and there didn't seem to be any instructions I could see. Though at the time of year I went (February) I didn't really need it switched on to stay comfy.

I really liked the space of the room it's really cool, it's big and was able to exercise and all of that. Also the view from the window is priceless! The staff was very very friendly

The only flaw I see is when you finish your shower, the water leaks from the bottom corner of the shower box, and unfortunately I have to clean it.

We loved all, this hotel was exactly what we were looking. Good location, high-quality with decent price. It was clean and everyone is so nice and friendly. I need to give extra shoot out for the breakfast and rooftop. It's a shame we did not have more days and time to enjoy. Hotel was really trying to fill our extra wishes and special requests before and after arrival. Thank you for everything!

Hotel doesn't have own parking area, but there is few options close by. Ask from receptionist and they will help. I would have appreciated small area where we could have stopped to unback car and then move it to parking area. We were anyway super lucky and we got spot from street for over night with 2.5e..

The location is perfect: right between the old (Vegueta) and the new (Santa Catalina area) city. The bus stop from the airport is 200 mts far and the bus stop to the airport is 500 mts. The back view of the hotel was superb. Room was amazing (mattress, colors, decoration, the whole wall had window but the curtains shut the light off). Breakfast was excellent (don’t forget to ask for more dishes they prepare for free. there is a big board). Service-as always in Barcelo hotels- was impeccable!

Very kind staff. Close from bus stop (also ftom/to the airport). Very good breakfast.

The door of shower box didn't close well so that water leaked a lot from the door. As there was no door between bath room and bed room, noise and light from bath room reach to the bed room. Noise from the open-air discotheque nearby was very loud for some nights.

the toilets! the fact they are „inside“ the room and separated only by a glass isn’t the most comfortable thing. Also not all the rooms got a sea view so you have to make sure you let them know in advance you want one.

Stayed 2 nights. Clean Hotel. 30 minutes walk to Old Town and to the beach also. Its right in the middle. Big room on the 6th floor with a nice view to the park. Breakfast was really nice, buffet style for pastries, bread, coffee, etc. However, hot food needs to be ordered. They have a menu in the restaurant. Rooftop bar was open till 12, 3 days a week. Its worth going up, has lovely views of the city.

Only thing was the shower door. Water keeps coming out to the floor if you are not careful with how the door is closed.
