We had a beautiful and very comfortable room right up in the eaves with a view over what felt like the whole of Castile. Having decided to have supper in the restaurant for the first night of our stay, after a sumptuous feast we quickly changed our minds and opted to eat at the restaurant for the second night. We were not disappointed! The art in the public spaces is remarkable (30 prints by Dore, the master engraver of the nineteenth century) and the staff were lovely, courteous and always helpful. The hotel is not so much in the town centre of lerma - it is the town centre
leaving! We were sorry to leave this lovely hotel. The coffee at breakfast was terrible!

Second time staying here, first visit couple of years ago was a single night, we ate in the hotel restaurant which was excellent but wanted to come back to try eating out in the area. Good varied choice of venues and we had two very nice meals. Breakfast in the hotel was really good too. Ideally situated on the return route to Santander from the south or central areas.
Cant think of any negatives at all, it's a very impressive building that delivers on the expectations it creates. Shame the breakfast restaurant doesnt open a little earlier as we wanted to leave before 8 to reach Santander comfortably.

I had already stayed at this parador around 15 years ago when I was travelling from the south east of Spain towards Bilbao. This time it was with my wife. The hotel was as spectacular as ever, staff were attentive and were very helpful. A drink in the covered quadrangle is a must and the food in the restaurant was fantastic. We had chosen a room just under one of the towers which had lovely views, and in the morning the sunrise was beautiful. Breakfast didn’t disappoint, again lovely surroundings, good choice of food for all European tastes.
Nothing to dislike

A beautiful and impressive building, located on the main square of Lerma. Our tower room had two balconies and lovely views to the village and surrounding countryside. Bed was very comfortable. Staff were very good and the salon area was beautiful to sit and spend some time.
The hotel restaurant was just ok, food was nothing special. There were signs to underground parking but we weren't told about it. The large open square outside the hotel is ok to park the car, but not great on very hot days. There isn't much to do in Lerma, two nights was easily enough.

The room and hotel were beautiful. First room we were given was in the attic. Not so great, but I asked if we could switch to a different room and lucky for us they had an free room available which was very nice and was what I had been expecting / matched the photos online. We also had dinner at the hotel which was very nice. Service and food were great.
Breakfast was a bit disappointing for the property, but not bad. Eggs had to be ordered from the kitchen, the rest was mostly bread and fruit from the buffet. I would rate it 7/10.

The breakfast was served in a fabulous antique room with lovely wall decorations. Staff were very attentive and there was an excellent variety of hot and cold foods on offer.
The staff serving in the mail coffee lounge could have been a bit more attentive and smiled more. The menu for the main restaurant was not particularly interesting so we ate in the other one with a different menu, but still not varied enough for such a wonderful Parador. The staff there were not particularly friendly and took a long time just to bring us the menus.

parking is plentiful right in the square out side, staff where good and help full, food is good by what me and the party of six with me had in the restaurant. rooms are comfy and very big, what you would expect from a parador. location looks good but we were slightly out of season but still found a few bars open which turned out to be super cheap.
nothing that stood out that we didn't like really, maybe more water in the rooms would have been better. no bar as such as its in the main lounge area of the hotel.

Our room in one of the corner towers had fantastic views of the Castilla Leon landscape. Nice “old” decor inside the room. Beautiful inner courtyard where guests hang out reading and sipping drinks. We did not try the on-site restaurant as the earliest seating offered to us was at a quarter to ten pm. Earlier openings were presumably reserved for people who booked half board. Easy parking in a square in front of palace.
Nothing important. Location is a bit remote, about 25 minutes from Burgos by car.

This magnificent building has been sensitively converted into a top rate hotel. Our standard room with a walk in shower was spacious and spotlessly clean. The atrium is stunning and makes an excellent place for a drink before dinner. The menu was varied and although it remained the same we ate different dishes on three nights and all were good, some delicious.
I have allergies and the kitchen had been informed of them but the waiting staff were not well briefed. On two occasions I was brought a starter that contained one or more of my allergens. Had I not been so alert the consequences could have been serious.

Stunning former palace which lived up to the billing. The ladies on reception were brilliant , quality restaurant with attentive staff. Free parking in the square at the front. Overall experience was excellent.
The A/C had difficulty cooling the room which was very large but very comfortable . To be fair the outside temperature had been 38c all day.
