The problem with reviews that are sought about ten days after staying is that with 20 hotels over a 38 day period, they (the hotels) all seem to merge….However, this is an excellently located, well-run business person’s hotel, and can be strongly recommended. I never give those hot, breathless endorsements so common in reviews (I have given 9 or over twice in 47 years of overseas travel) and have a vague memory of something about water in the bathroom, and yet another potentially slippery bath when one steps over the bath edge. However, it is a quality hotel (we travel 4-5 months a year) and room, facilities and management are aligned well. The staff are excellent, with perhaps more warmth being shown by breakfast staff to align with the superb efforts of reception

Nice and elegant hotel with an attractive interior although the hotel interior is not new. Los of space in the room, quiet place and next to the city center of Burgos. The breakfast was excellent and had a great variety. The staff was friendly and helpful

The parking was full so I had to take a public garage. The bathroom interior is rather old and not up to date although it is working properly, so it was /is good quality. The toilet lid was made of lacquered wood and one spot of 6cm x 3cm the lacquer was splintered

My boyfriend and I have stayed at NH hotels all over the world, and this one is definitely one of the jewels in their crown. The building is beautiful, and our room was enormous, romantic, and well appointed - even had a lovely window seat overlooking the street. The location is perfect for exploring the historic area of Burgos.

Parking was a little harrowing: we arrived around 4pm, and there were only two parking spots remaining in the bowels of a very deep garage. My boyfriend is a good driver, and he found it difficult to maneuver his small SUV into one of the slots. The next day we saw several people struggling to get their cars out without hitting poles or other vehicles!

I really like this hotel and quality of service and food offered. My only reservation was that they charged me 35 Euros for EACH of my small dogs and I felt this was too much (although I agreed to this charge at time of booking because I like hotel so much). They don’t provide bowls or water….nothing for the 70 Euros. However I will return with my dogs. The staff are nice, surroundings are beautiful and the food is very good. I would always recommend this hotel for a stay in Burgos.

Perfect central location, very close to the Cathedral and Plaza Mayor, in a characterful and historic building. Perfect for dog owners as pets are welcome, and allowed to stay in the room during mealtimes. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious and our waiter was super friendly and helpful.

The reception staff were often not at the desk. The staff at breakfast were a little officious, but they were busy and it wasn’t a big problem. The hotel car park was full when we arrived but this was to be expected at past 7pm. A public car park was only a few minutes away.

Great location! It's beautiful from the outside. Staff was welcoming. Rooms are large with separate bathroom area.

*Interior is quite corporate looking & bland with low lighting. I was disappointed not to see more original Gothic architecture & details preserved inside. Aside from the cloister, the rooms & hallways & meeting spaces have been stripped of charm & history. * parking spaces are really tight

Central location, exclusive guest underground parking with access by lift. Dog friendly. Large comfortable bedroom.

Restaurant does not open until 8 pm which may be the usual eating time for Spanish guests but maybe not for many foreign travellers like us, so room service that is not available until 8 pm either does not provide an alternative solution. Our room was located at the front of the hotel with a busy street and traffic noise disturbed our sleep.

The location is fantastic, just opposite the door to the historic centre and the amazing cathedral. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the breakfast staff were super efficient and friendly. The rooms on the upper floor have a great view to the Cathedral. The church of the Monastery, right next door to the entrance of hotel merits a visit.

Reception not particularly friendly. Just had the keys handed to us and no info supplied on how to find the room. In fact almost no dialogue at all. Nobody around to help with luggage. We were fine, but some people may have struggled.

Awsome palace turned into a hotel. Great food as expected in north of Spain. The hotel is literally 200m from the city center. Worths every cent.

Private parking it is extremely expensive. There is a public park (covered) right next to the hotel for half price. This should be considered.
