Hotel Agora was our home in Madrid for a week and we are very satisfied with this choice. The hotel is excelent located, with 3 metro stations accesible in 5 minutes walk. 3 metro stations to Puerta del Sol, about 15 'min. A lot of restaurants, terraces and shops in the neighbourhood (Quevedo area and calle de Fuencarral). Yet, the environment is quiet. The rooms are quite large with very confortable beds. Very tasty, fresh and reach breakfast. Also, we had our beds every day arranged, towels changed, cleaning was impeccable. Perfect choice for classic style&confort lovers.

The hotel is located on a quiet street in the hood of Chamberi and just three stops by train to Calle Sol and Gran Via in Madrid. It is an old-style type of hotel. The facilities are well-kept. The room was spacious. We had a little balcony facing the street but not much to see. Within walking distance, you can find the Plaza Olveira which has lots of restaurants. We loved the neighborhood. Breakfast was included and very good. The restaurant staff was so accommodating and kind. The front desk person who did our check-in " Nestor was great.

There were several things that could have been better such as we didn't have soap in our bathroom when we arrived. The door to the refrigerator was broken, and there were several lights in the bathroom that were off. The toilet seat was broken.

Location not far off Gran Via and most beautiful squares. Breakfast was fresh and excellent. Clean and friendly staff. Quite area . Room had small terrazzo which was relaxing after a busy day going places in Madrid.

The hotel setup is old fashioned . But nothing else to bother. We were in Madrid during a mini heatwave and temperature in room could not get cooler since ac could not be set to cool air . Was told by staff that this was because it is not yet summer so hotel chillers were still set for winter.

Nice breakfast, decent, fresh and varied. Clean and neat, nice personnel, educated receptionists, warm welcome, patience, silence and decency everywhere. Location is ideal for travelling in Madrid and the surrounding area.

English speaking personnel is scarce :-) but one can find his way if contacting the reception :-) No glass glasses in the room, for taking medicines or preparing a powder-based drink (also medicine) the paper glasses are very difficult to use. No other negative remarks.

Nice location in a good neighbourhood, not too far from all the mandatory places to visit in Madrid. Good connections - the metro station is nearby, 2 minutes walking distance. Variety of shops and restaurants at short walking distance.

Reasonable variety at breakfast, but a bit repetitive - I stayed for 4 days and the options were basically always the same. A little bit of noise in the ventillation system in my room (I guess it's a minor problem that will easily be solved).

Although the location is out of the center, a 3 minute walk gets you to a major train station. Size of bedroom was very generous. Bathroom was cleaned every day. Reception staff were very helpful however breakfast staff refused or couldn’t speak English so this was a little frustrating as we don’t speak Spanish.

The theme-based nature of the decor takes a little getting used to. Colours of the hotel could do with some modernising.

Location of this hotel is very good for tourists, perfect for the work I had to do in Madrid. The hotel is quite clean, although the fact that its floors are covered with carpets makes cleaning rather difficult. Breakfast is excellent, with many options, also for vegetarians and vegans. The rooms I had in August 2022 - I was there also in May 2022 - were different: the first was a little dark and smallish, the second was large and full of natural light. The bathrooms were large and well designed. The light near the bed allows to read.

The rooms in this hotel vary very much, so make sure you get the one you have paid for. Although the reception staff are most polite, kind and professional, they have orders not to inform about who is a client in the hotel, apparently to protect privacy; in my case, this caused some minor problems because I needed to be in touch with many different people and the hotel staff did not confirm to them that I was staying there, nor did they pass their phone calls to my room, although they did inform me about such calls.

The Hotel was located in a quiet area but just round the corner from a Metro stop. Only two stops to the city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. I asked for a quiet room and they gave me a very quiet room. The breakfast was great, breads, fruit, meats and cheeses, cereals, juices and even a scrambled egg and bacon or omelette and sausages another morning. The rooms were extremely clean and had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay.

Staff, location and breakfast are excellent! The rests are very good too! Since it is our first to visit Madrid, the excellent location helps us to find many interesting shops and restaurants just by walking around without getting lost easily!

We prefer the tub has a full size door or a full size curtain so when we take a shower, we do not have to worry about the spilling water outside the tub! Also the light outside the hallway which goes on automatically, sometimes does not go on quickly enough so it is difficult for us to see whatever in front of us!

My room was very large and quiet, with lots of natural light, a large terrace and a large bathroom with plenty of warm water at any time. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful, offering many options for vegetarians.

There was no table in my room, only a chest of drawers and two night tables, so I had to work on one of the night tables, which I displaced close to the window, keeping it between my legs in a rather uncomfortable position. But I have seen other rooms have a table, so next time I will ask for one of such rooms. The bed was a little too soft for me, but I am used to a very hard bed.
