Have stayed in other Petit Palace Hotels in the Sol area, they are generally in good locations and well maintained, this was no exception. Desk staff really helpful. Easy to reach all the local transport hubs. Lift access to all floors. Tidy room. Excellent breakfast choice in a lovely open space area on the top floor. We were just here in transit but would make a great location for a short break. Sol is really central with access to lots of facilities.

Central location, well-connected to metro and train lines, clean room, good breakfast, friendly staff. In these senses, a good value for money.

The carpeting in the hallway/s should be replaced as the smell is quite unpleasant and the staining is not in keeping with the relatively up-to-date appearance of the room/s. As well, we requested a taxi at checkout and waiting three-quarters of an hour for a driver, who never appeared at the door to walk us out of the pedestrian zone to his stand. The receptionist, in the meantime, disappeared, leaving her desk unmanned. Alas, we made it to the airport using public transportation, but the experience would have been a more pleasant one had the receptionist followed through with the cab driver.

Laura, who checked us in, was exceptionally friendly, helpful (e.g. where to buy local sim card, directions, tourist attractions, etc) and made us felt welcomed right from the start. Glyza and Azral, the ladies at breakfast salon were awesome, efficient, attentive and always had a smile for the guests. Truly a five star service from both ladies. Breakfast spread exceeded our expectations and it was something we looked forward to each morning. We also couldn't have asked for a better location, right in the heart of Madrid's historical center (yet quiet and tranquil inside the hotel) and walking distance to almost all the tourist attractions as well as to Metro stations. If ever we return to Madrid, we would opt to stay in this hotel.

Room size and bathroom were really "petite"/small. We wanted two beds but got only a queen bed. Not much space to navigate for two occupants.

This hotel has one fantastic feature - and this is location. In the very centre, yet quiet (on the streets around there are shops, no bars or restaurants). Extremely comfortable, 200m from the metro / train. Breakfast was very good, as well.

Rooms are dated and overall the feeling of the design is kind of 90ties… and double room is small. So if you need nice and large room, find something else. But if you can accommodate, the location would overweight it all.

The staff was the best I ever encountered at any hotel throughout the world in the past 7 years. Anything we asked, the answer was yes. Their manners were astonishing and five star professionalism (without being stodgy or haughty). The friendliness and warmth was undeniable. After a long and arduous journey, we were exceptionally thankful for John!!! The other night person (female) was also excellent.

The AC wasn't working very well in the 100 degree heat so that was difficult.... but no fault of anyone's!

The location is amazing, it was located only one block from Puerta del Sol, and everything is within walking distance. When we arrived there was no electricity but the person in the front desk handled the situation with professionalism and made the check in prosses easy and smooth and then he checked on us to see if everything was ok. The building is old so there are tiny things like the toilet seat was peeling, but everything was clean, spotless. Our room was in front of the main street but you won't hear the noise on the street. I travelled with my mom and we were delighted

Maybe coffee in the room would be great, but that's only me that need coffee fist thing in the morning. LOL. All was good. Nice place

The staff were very friendly and helpful; thank you to Lydia for the recommendation of Toledo and how to get there. The room was decent, internet was decent and safe big enough for any needs. Breakfast was tasty.

The room temp was a problem and the fan only heated it further and the room a little cramped even though decent. Breakfast although tasty often had bits not brought out so was sparse at times.

The hotel is in the central area of Madrid, being accessible to all the attractions of this metropolis either on foot or by metro or local train, which have very close stations (approx. 200 meters away is the station for the train to the great Antocha station, directly connected to the airport) . The hotel, although small, is chic, my room was a large one, with all the facilities for a comfortable stay (including, for example, an iron), with a huge bathroom, fully equipped. A special mention about the staff, always smiling, kind, which made our stay even more pleasant. The breakfast was faultless, generous, for the most diverse tastes. Nothing to complain about!

The hotel is placed in a great location just steps away from endless shopping and restaurants The rooms were clean, we had a small balcony with the view on one of the major shopping streets Subway stations less 5 min away The reason I am giving 5 stars is because of the service and hospitality The receptionists are very friendly and makes you feel welcomed ( Laura 🤍) I would definitely return here

Our room was comfortable and clean and staff were friendly & efficient. Location was perfect - right at the centre of everything.

The breakfast was really disappointing. There were few hot food options left out when we came down and what was left had gone cold! Next time I would not pay the extra £9 per person for breakfast, I would save my money and have breakfast in one the many local cafes nearby.
