Beautiful riverside hotel right next to the old town with lots of places to eat and drink. The staff were very accommodating when the weather turned inclement so were unable to eat our breakfast outside on the terrace with the dogs. Fernando on reception was especially helpful when we arrived early, Muchas gracias! The rooms are very big, with my particular favourite facility of a Nespresso machine. Remember to bring your own pods if you want more than one cup. The room had 2 huge dog beds (which my girls preferred to their own beds which we'd lugged in from the car!) and a fabulous view of the river and the transporter bridge. Just perfect.

Finding your way to the hotel isn't always easy, even with a sat nav, and unless you're lucky enough to get a spot in the underground car park (which we were) then you may need to park quite a way from the hotel.

Our room was bright and spacious with a balcony overlooking the water and busy pedestrian area with cafes and restaurants. We had plenty of storage space, a large tv, coffee machine and the good sized ensuite had a tub and strong shower. We didn't have a great deal of interaction with the staff but the guy on reception and restaurant staff were helpful and friendly Whilst there were a number of places to eat close to the hotel, we chose to have a pre dinner drink and our evening meal in the hotel restaurant. The fish soup and chicken stew were tasty and the three course menu for €30 included a reasonable bottle of Rioja - so all in all, pretty good value for money.

The hotel is situated on a pedestrianised area so finding the way into the underground carpark was a challenge.

this hotel is in an amazing location on the river in an upmarket area. the terrace was a wonderful place to relax and the staff super friendly and helpful. the area itself is worth exploring with lovely walks along the river, restaurants, cafes and shops. we also taxied into Biblao for the guggenheim and old town visit. Bilbao is a beautiful, clean and safe city to visit with a lovely vibe. This hotel was a lovely end to our holiday, assisted with onsite secure parking and we felt exceptionally well looked after. Also good location for being close to the ferry port.

Location: The hotel is in the suburbs of Bilbao (Portugalete), so it is a little bit far (20 min) from the centre of the town although there is an easy way (train or metro) to reach the town. Room and View: Our room was in front of the bulding with an exceptional view to the river. If it was behind (without view) we do not think that the stay is valuable for money.

Breakfast starts at 8 p.m. (during the weekends) and this is too late for someone that wants to go out to Bilbao centre. It is not convenient for people that want mostly to go to museums or the old town of Bilbao as it is not located in a central point.

The room was comfortable, the hotel offers free tea and coffee facility. Menu in restaurant was limited. Staff is friendly and the room was clean. A big football match was on that night so there was plenty of animation around the town. However we did not hear any noise during the night. Bathroom is superb with 2 shower heads, toilet and a bidet!! Lovely supply of toiletries and toothbrush. Just 15 minutes away from the ferry terminal, really handy and no traffic on the way.

The name of the hotel is NOT visible from the road!! It would help to have a large sign with the name of the hotel so that we know when we have arrived!!! The area the hotel was in looked a bit rough. Charge for parking the car was 19 euros, which we found a bit steep.

The location of this hotel is exceptional with rooms overloking the river. The staff were all superb, but particular thanks go to the wonderful man at reception who checked us in and who couldn't have been more helpful. In addition the bar and restaurant staff were terrific, particularly the two slightly older servers who we assumed were bar managers on different nights. The srevice we received from them was second to none. We loved Bilbao too and would recomment a trip to the magnificent Gugenheim Museum.

The room was very basic, although completely adequate. A second chair would have been welcome.

A very comfortable hotel, close to the ferry port! Nice views of the river from the bedrooms. The underground car parking was great as our car was full of luggage, and we didn't want to risk parking on the street. The staff were so nice and very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

The restaurant wasn't great, I'm sad to say! The menu was limited and overpriced! The next time we will explore some local alternatives!

Really friendly staff. We were upgraded to a better room on request as my wife wasn't feeling well. There is a restaurant in the hotel which is handy in the event that you want to stay put for an evening. Free coffee and hot chocolate available in what looks like an old confessional! Real quirky touch. Location just beside the hanging bridge means you can cross the river to the flatter and more upmarket side easily. A handy stopover for Ferry passengers. Parking available under the building. Would use it again before catching Ferry.

The bed in the original room was quite small. The rooms could probably do with a remake. We were there on a chilly, rainy November day so we didnt see it at it's best.

Mostly good ! Maybe a busy breakfast buffet could have been helped by adding an additional coffee machine . The Sunday breakfast opens later than other days and there was a stampede it seems to me . ( I also needed to be there at opening time due to the ferry check in time ) . The basement parking is a little tight .

The hotel was in a superb location, right on the river. Excellent breakfast as well, which was included. I would definitely stay here again. It was spotlessly clean, and all the staff we came into contact with, were very pleasant, polite and courteous.

It was slightly annoying, as when I booked this hotel, I stated Twin rooms, as we are 2 Ladies. I even emailed the hotel as well, but when we got to the room, it was a king size bed, and sadly the hotel was fully booked, so we couldn’t be moved. The receptionist was very apologetic, and as a goodwill gesture, they didn’t charge the EUR 25 for my dog. We managed for 1 night. Also the signage for the hotel, when travelling by car, is non existent. When we eventually found it, there was a sign which said hotel and parking, but no hotel name? The hotel name is on the front of the hotel, but it is in a pedestrianised location?
