The hotel is a historical building Absolutely astonishing! The location is perfect! It is very quite There is an important church right next to the hotel The old town of Santiago is gorgeous! The food in Santiago is amazing as well! The rooms are very spacious!

We had breakfast at their restaurant one morning and we got there about 1/2 hour before the end of breakfast and they were already putting some of the food away and they did not come over to our table to see if we wanted more coffee or anything like that The hotel is not cheap! I feel that the service at the restaurant should be a bit more elevated!

I enjoyed the central location, the jacuzzi, and the pool. The people at the reception were helpful and pleasant. I enjoyed the comfortable sitting chair and in the room. The breakfast was varied and abundant and one's coffee cup was refilled promptly.

The room seemed a bit stark and cramped. I didn't care for the bed being against the wall in the corner. I didn't find the refrigerator until I was leaving. One pillow was extra long and another was a big square. I would have preferred standard-size pillows. I thought the courtyard looked abandoned and the corridors around it could have been furnished and decorated attractively.

The staff were really helpful, particularly the receptionist. She spoke very good English and was able to recommend some lovely restaurants. We only had breakfast on our last morning before heading to the airport but found plenty of options to eat out in Santiago, exploring the old town. We also made use of the pool (which was like a bath) and jacuzzi a couple of times, both times nobody else was here. Heavenly We're not religious but enjoyed looking at the Cathedral, buying the Tarte di Santiago from the Nuns through a whole in a wall (once we'd managed to find it, its well hidden), and the attached chapel was also well worth a visit.

We visited in February and it wasn't very busy so the barman was also the waiter in the restaurant and had to keep hopping between the two.

Great old monastery minutes walk to the Plaza de Santiago. Staff were very friendly. Excellent parking on site. Buffet was very good but I had to pay apart as booking didn’t have option to include with room and wife really only wanted tea and toast no option other than full buffet.

Room details state room has mini bar, coffee set but my room had empty fridge and no coffee set. Wife thought room included shower robs and slippers can’t say for sure our closet had a single pair of slippers but no robes.

Historic building, great location, large room and large bathroom. Friendly, easy going staff. Nice pool (indoor in a separate building, easy to access). Incredible church next to it which is well worth spending time in. Dining room is fabulous - do not miss having a breakfast or dinner there just to see it.

Restaurant had very few customers so it felt a bit odd to be alone by the end of the meal. They need to market it better!

A beautiful hotel in the heart of Santiago. We didn’t know much about the building before we arrived and were delighted to discover its history. Made it an even more special place to stay in the centre of the old part of the city. The rooms and public areas were all lovely, especially the dining room, which used to be the monks’ refectory!

That we didn’t have the opportunity to use the swimming pool!

This fantastic monumental building is located only a short walk away from the cathedral and the centre of Santiago de Compostela. It offers luxurious rooms, elevators, private parking, a restaurant and a swimming pool. The breakfast buffet offers everything you need to get your day started, enough coffee too :D Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful.

Our room was quite noisy (maybe there was a family of elephants staying in the room above ours).

The style of the hotel and the helpfulness of the reception team, they were excellent. Location was perfect. Pool was great, the rooms were quiet

No coffee machine in room, waiting staff in restaurant and at breakfast not very cheery. Coffee at breakfast was awful, no muesli just really high sugar cereals, not a great view from the room. Bed very very hard

Checkin was very efficient, and the staff even handled returning my car rental's return to the man collecting it, which enabled me to leave the hotel and meet my wife who was walking the Camino de Santiago's final day of the Portuguese Way. Breakfast was great, in the monks gathering hall. The building is renovated in a monastery built after St. Francis of Assisi visited the Pilgrimage site, and it is about 250 meters from Santiago Cathedral in a quiet area. There was a wedding in the church attached, very nice facilities with long history.

This is our third visit to this hotel, starting in 2009, and really there is not much not to like. It has a perfect quiet location but is so close to the Cathedral and the walking streets near it so it is very convenient, and its history makes it unique. It seems worth the cost.

Driving up to this hotel took my breath away - what a gorgeous, historic building, with wad loads of character. Check in was wonderful - the staff couldn't do more to help. The room we stayed in was on the 5th floor and we had a sofa bed for our child and were able to open the sun lights in the roof - truly magical. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious, the bar fridge and coffee machine were an added bonus. Breakfast was outstanding and the staff again, amazing. The pool was perfect for our little family and a nice time-out at the end of the day. Parking was easy to find and the courtyard in the middle of the hotel was a perfect retreat for a parents drink :) The hotel is so central and such great value - you'd be crazy not to take this place up!

Nothing :)
