The location is great, walking distance from the Colombo fort train station. The room was spacious, with A/C, a TV, big bathroom and a safe. All that one needs.

We arrived early 10:30 am and although the room was ready, the receptionist wanted us to pay 50% of the price room just to get early checkin. I found this very rude especially that we get checked in early everywhere if the room is ready. He gave us the room eventually with no charge when he learned that we will not stay overnight and we are checking out same day at midnight.

Modernly furnished hotel in the very center of Colombo literally 2 minutes walk from Dutch Hospital, where there are many shops, cafes and restaurants. Colombo Fort Railway Station is only 15 minute walk away. 10 minutes walk to the seaside promenade. The hotel is clean, the bedding is also very clean. Hot water in the shower without problems. Unfortunately I only allocated 1 day for Colombo, but next time I am in Colombo I will stay at this hotel again.

My room didn't have a window. I was a bit surprised, but maybe I just didn't read the description of the room on Booking.com. At first I thought it was a minus, but after a few moments I came to the conclusion that in this particular case it wasn't a problem at all, and could even be an advantage: in this area (the very center of the city) it's very noisy outside, so opening the window is out of the question, and air conditioning is needed to cool the temperature anyway. However, because there was no window, the room was completely silent, so you can relax at any time.

Typical low cost hostel for budget travellers. Some amenities in excess of typical budget hostel standard - e.g. efficient A/C, fast and reliable internet, which, especially in Sri Lanka is of a great value. Kitchen available with fridge, microwave and electric kettle. Free tea and coffee offered round the time. Very friendly staff. Recommended place to stay for travellers with limited budget. CAUTION: in the hostel two types of plugs are used: (1) with three round pins ("old" English standard) and (2) with three rectangular pins ("new" English standard). Bring both to make sure you will be connected eveywhere in the hostel

Great location. Very convenient to the Railway Station, Bus Stand, and other tourist places in Colombo. Close to Galle Face for dining. Facility is neat and clean and well maintained. The room is slightly small in size but neat and clean. The Restroom/bathroom was clean with nice hot water shower and hygiene facilities. Staff is very nice, kind and friendly personal with always big smile. Easy check-in and check-out process with the acceptance of credit card for payment. The room comes with Coffee/Tea kettle, drinking water bottle, small fridge and locker that an added benefit. Good Aircon. Great value for money.

I don't understand some of the low scores because there's nothing wrong with this hotel. No, it's not like the cozy Guesthouses you find elsewhere in the country, but it's a spotless clean typical big city basic budget hotel like the ones you find elsewhere in the world. Basic, big enough room with a bed and a desk. Lots of power outlets to charge all your gadgets. The common bathrooms were kept clean at all times, and there were so many of them on each floor. A nice common room with tables and chairs, free tea and coffee, a nice rooftop sitting area, and excellent WiFi (to be Sri Lanka anyway). Friendly staff too. Superb location right in the thick of things in the Fort. Restaurants and bars literally on their doorstep.

It was nothing I didn't like

The location is perfect for a stop gap stay in Colombo. Very easy to get a grab from the bus station when arriving and I walked very easily to the train station the next day with my big backpack (10 minutes walk). The room was small but very comfortable with complimentary water, towels and soap! The shared bathrooms do the job. The staff were super friendly and I was able to leave my bags with them for the day after I had checked out before leaving Colombo.

When taking a shower be mindful there is no where to hand things up inside the shower cubicle. So just go in your towel and you’re all good.

Alot of negative reviews on here but this place was actually decent. We were in room 301, it had a window, comfortable bed, table and chairs and a wardrobe. Air-conditioning and a fan! Shared bathrooms were alright, a bit dirty but hot water and always had loo roll. Reception were kind in checking us in and letting us store our luggage. Great location with lots of restaurants and a short walk to see the sunset by the water. We would stay again!

I stayed here 3 nights, 1 night in a Standard Queen Room and 2 night's in a Single Room with Shared Bathroom. I would highly recommend the standard Queen room even though it was quite expensive for a solo traveler like me. The single room was ok, WiFi a bit iffy but clean and tidy the showers and WC same all in all ok. Has a traveler of a old age dorms no longer appeal in hot countries, always someone who turns off A/C because of noise or too cold.

Well worn traveler no real problems. Would be a bit noisy for some in my single room, but I carry ear plugs.

Excellent position, very comfortable bed, staff very helpful and always smiling. they allowed me an early check-in for a small amount of money. Working AC. Fridge in the common area. There is a exchanging place right next to the hotel with excellent changing price.

The walls are very thin and you can hear other people talking during the night, which it was very annoying after midnight. If the common area would have had a microwave it's be better.

Great location in the Fort area within a 10 minute walk to Fort station and close walk to Galle Face Green and other attractions. Lots of ATMs, money exchanges and supermarkets in the area. Staff were really helpful and welcoming. The train we wanted to book was sold out at the station but they were able to help us buy tickets. Free tea and coffee was available to help yourself. Breakfast was simple but good (eggs, toast, butter, jam). Wi-Fi, AC and hot water worked well. Room was bigger than expected. Toiletries provided.

The communal areas (other than the nice reception area) were not that clean, including where the breakfast and tea/coffee was served, often with flies hanging around the tea/coffee.
