Stunning beachfront property in Galle, our room was in the luxury spa wing which is right next to the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our 2 kids had a wonderful time collecting shells, playing in the pools. The beach isn’t the best for swimming (unlike Hikkaduwa or similar beaches) but good enough for a quick dip or for simply relaxing. We were lucky to spot turtles every single day we were there! Rooms were spacious and brightly coloured doors / windows was a refreshing sight. The food buffets had the usual good spread but hopper counter can have a queue in the morning. Pizzas at Lorenzo were wood fried and we enjoyed it. Overall, we had a wonderful time here and would definitely plan to come back in future.

Some touts wait near the beach and keep checking inside the property needlessly. They claim to show turtles and ask for money, specially from families with kids. Not a problem tbh, but can be discouraged.

Excellent hospitality. The staff went over and beyond to make us comfortable. Beautiful resort - right on the beach, excellent facilities. Very vegan friendly. We were a family of 4 vegans that had the most delicious food for literally every meal here. The chef called us personally on Christmas Day to tell us that the Christmas Buffet would not have too many vegan options, so he would arrange for a special vegan meal for us at a different restaurant in the resort. The highlight of our trip was the market visit and cooking demo with Chef Navin, where we made a huge Sri Lankan meal and 2 desserts with locally purchased produce, all vegan of course. An unforgettable experience!

Good well maintained hotel, closer to the gall fort so it’s a short 10mins drive away or the similar via a tuk ride. Staff were always friendly and helpful greeting everyone with the customary “ayu bohovan”, translated to “bless you with long life”. Excellent choice of food during the buffet with some delicious local as well as continental food choices.

There is no beach, the water front looks beautiful but the reef and the rocks makes it very dangerous to even consider a dip. Some of the staff seems untrained and guessing these are temp staff to cover for the busy seasons.

The location of the room over looking the sea. The spray of the sea waves was touching our balcony. Ships sailing on the high seas could be seen from our room. Room was comfortable. There was a power problem, that was attended immediately by the electrical technician. Room & toilet was clean , spacious. Breakfast & food menu was good. Staff were very helpful & cooperative. Mr. Alvis ( captain )in the restaurant was proactive & hospitable.

After checking in , we were given a room on the 3rd floor which did not have access by elevator. I expressed my deep dissatisfaction about this & with great difficulty , after the resident manager was called in , he changed the room to the ground floor.

The location is great, beautiful, we'll manicured grounds on a Rocky beach. Everything is open air for the most part and decor is luxurious but understated. The food and staff were great and my kids loved the swimming pools. About a 10 minute drive to Fort Galle which is a charming town.

I think the only thing that needs improvement is the coffee, coming from Europe if they invested in a nice machine that makes expresso and cappucino their European guests would love it!

We had a corner room on the 3 rd floor and had a spectaculat unobstructed view of the coean and the pools. the room had three balconies and was spaciaous. we loved the breakfast and the accomadaton to prepare additionally protein ie being vegetarian, we requested and for three striaight days receives something additional.to whaat was already quite an awesome buffet.

The property is a little old. We first stayed on a suite and that was fabulous. We then shifted for a day to a lower category room and that had cockroaches. I hope the staff and management look into these aspects to maintain this beautiful property

Hotel is really beautiful, staff very pleasant. Pool only open 8-7pm We found the restaurant (smorgasbord ) Very expensive : 19000LKR for 2 . Sadly , extremely noisy & very congested until 9:30 pm each night ( however hotel was full ) we could not stand the noise so moved to eat outside with the heat & bugs!

The hotel needs a written pamphlet explaining location & types of restaurants Available. Hours of opening of pools , gym , bars etc Unless you are on the website constantly You’ll be struggling to find staff to help .

Lovely hotel, beautifully designed to fit in with the environment. The rooms were very generous in size and nicely appointed. The pool and gardens were very inviting. All of the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. A special mention to Pasindu on reception, he was friendly, efficient, very accommodating and knew who we were!
