We’ve had a very nice stay. The location around de lake is perfect and quite. The room is beautiful and clean. Breakfast was also very good. The team was great, Kaumada & Sachin helped us a lot, for any question or need we had. Thank you 🙏🏻

Wonderful location right by the Kandy lake. Super comfortable, lovely large rooms with all the amenities. Clean and classy lodgings. The staff were friendly and there's a restaurant downstairs with super yummy food.

We had the king suite with a beautiful view and jacuzzi. Definitely worth the upgrade. The location is really good, having the right balance of being by the lake and a 15 minute walk to the center. The staff were nice and the breakfast was really good and plentiful.

There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room and it could definitely use a mosquito net. The street was rather loud and it was also too noisy (and filled with mosquitos) to sit outside on the nice balcony. Also be aware that an old man outside of the hotel sells himself as the chef cook of the hotel, but he actually has no relation to it and is simply trying to sell you tickets to the dance (amongst other things).

It was a lovely stay from the start. We got a nice iced cinnamon tea to start and then were invited to light the oil lamp as a traditional way to welcome us to the hotel. The room was very clean and smelled nice. The restaurant downstairs had a very nice set of delicacies with a good set of wines to select from. The view was fantastic. We were just in front of the lake. The location was the best it was in the central of the city but not too central so it wasn’t too loud. It was just minutes walk to the central city and the temple of the tooth. A very nicely kept hotel with even better service.

Kandy is known as a cultural hub full of hospitable people. Viyana was what I would call a true Kandyan experience. The hotel itself is located right beside the Kandy lake. Its a breathtaking view to sit outside and have a drink while the sun is setting. Throughout my stay the staff was very helpful always checking up to ensure that I'm having a comfortable stay. The room was cozy and had a good set of amenities. The bed was a relief after a full day of traveling. The food is exceptional so flavorful. I especially loved their waffle range of sweet and savory waffles which I didn't see anywhere except here. It was fantastic. Waffles blended with a Lankan savory touch. It certainly was a memorable stay. Definitely hoping to visit again soon.

Hi Thamalka and the whole Viyana team. I want to Thankyou for the amazing hospitality , cooperation and help during and before our stay. Specifically for making my wife’s birthday a memorable one! From the smiling and helpful staff, to the location to the cleanliness and hygiene and prompt response. Even decorating the room before our arrival! Everything was top notch! I am so glad I chose Viyana for the one night in Kandy. You will definitely see me again Major add on: The spectacular view from the king suite room is to die for 😍

The hotel was as expected a very welcoming and comfortable place. The rooms were very clean. The staff was always there to help us out and very cheerful with a smile. We had some brilliant food here starting with the breakfast which was awesome and a huge spread. The menu was filled with nice delicacies which we tried, out of which the waffles was the best. They had a good wine selection aswell. A brilliant hotel indeed.

We came across this hotel by chance since we got late coming down from Colombo due to traffic. Even though it was late at night we still got a very warm welcome from the staff, we even got to light the oil lamp as a traditional welcome and a nice welcome drink. Since it was late we ordered food from the restaurant downstairs. They served us quickly knowing we were tired. The food was heavenly. The restaurant staff was very happy to serve us even at late night. The room was as expected in the photos very clean with a nice aroma and the bedding was amazing. We slept extremely well and feasted on a fabulous breakfast the next day. The outdoor dining is nice in the morning with the lake view. All the staff were all smiles throughout our stay. I was extremely happy that we were attended to by everyone there. I’m glad we came here all of a sudden with no prior plans but it was a fantastic experience.

Beautiful little hotel in a lovely location. Staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were delicious and more than adequate, with good choices. Shower was very good and bed very comfortable. We had a Suite with Lake View which was amazing with the view of the lake and across it. We were visited by a group of monkeys on our balcony one morning which was a delightful bonus. Not close to a lot of eating places but main town was only a short tuk tuk ride away and there were 2 or 3 eateries within walking distance that were good.

WiFi was dreadfully slow and almost non existent. There was only 1 television channel we could watch and programs were in Sri Lankan. Facilities mentioned a bathrobe and slippers but there were non in room and when I questioned staff about that they said no.

Great location nearby Kandy city centre and Temple of the Tooth. Very helpful staff. Fully equipped room and bathroom with an amazing view on Kandy Lake.
