Extremely kind and helpful staff. Clean and big separated bungalow for stay. The entire hotel is in the forest. The breakfast was good, but I need to highlight that it was vegetarian. There was a pool in the "garden". Tap water was clean and drinkable (without consequences). It is a really good place for relaxing. I can recommend this hotel.

Only one, but important thing: once the floor becomes wet, it will be extremally slippery in the shower room, because the surface is super smooth. Both of us have slipped and fallen on it. It was serious for me, I am still under therapy at home. It is the best interest of the hotel to handle the slipperiness for avoiding future, possibly more serious incidences.

If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway surrounded by nature, this eco resort in the middle of a bird sanctuary is absolutely perfect. The setting is stunning—so calm and picturesque, with wildlife everywhere you look. Waking up to birdsong and seeing so many colorful species up close was just magical. Honestly, the best vegetarian food I’ve ever had. Every meal was packed with fresh flavors, and you could tell they use the best local ingredients. It was a treat every single time! The staff were amazing—so kind, friendly, and genuinely accommodating. They made sure everything was just right, whether it was helping plan nature walks or catering to special requests. A beautiful property in the most unique jungle location. Immersed in nature, with incredible sounds of nature all around. A tranquil location to relax, unwind, destress - accompanied by the freshest food, made right there in an open kitchen in front of you. And the town is an easy 10 min tuk tuk away, if you want to sample the hustle and bustle of that.

It's difficult to put anything here. The team were very good to us. Our driver when first arriving had one moment where he wasn't sure where to turn as we went down the lane to Kaju Green - until we noticed the signpost.

My wife and I recently enjoyed a wonderful stay at Kaju Green Eco Lodges, and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with genuine warmth, making us feel right at home. Their attentiveness and kindness truly enhanced our experience. One of the highlights was kayaking through the nearby mangroves, surrounded by stunning scenery and the soothing sounds of nature. We also took advantage of the rides offered to Turtle Beach, where we had the incredible opportunity to witness turtles swim right up to us. Seeing these majestic creatures in their natural habitat was an unforgettable experience. We loved the peaceful pool area, where we spent lazy afternoons soaking up the sun and enjoying the serene atmosphere. Additionally, the morning yoga sessions were a wonderful way to start each day, helping us connect with nature and find our inner calm. As a huge fan of meat, I was pleasantly surprised by how flavorful and satisfying the plant-based meals were. Each dish was a celebration of local ingredients, bursting with fresh flavors that left me eagerly anticipating each meal. My wife and I enjoyed every bite, and I found myself completely content without my usual meat options. The lodges themselves were beautifully designed, blending comfort with nature. We spent our evenings on the terrace, soaking in the tranquil surroundings and enjoying the peaceful ambiance. Kaju Green Eco Lodges truly represented the serenity of being in a forest . The combination of friendly staff, delicious food, and memorable activities made for a perfect getaway.

Located right in the jungles, this place is truly connecting you to the nature. We could see different animals but they are all harmless. Pool is really beautiful and relaxing! Breakfasts are amazing! Very rich in flavour and delicious! Our villa had a beautiful bathroom and bedroom. Very relaxing stay, the staff are very friendly and assisting! Thanks to them we have spent an amazing time here. Highly recommend if you're tired from city noises and would like to take a break and just relax.

We were staying at time when it was full moon celebration and it was noisy at night but that only happens on full moon celebration nights.

From the first minutes I checked in, I was greeted by an incredible atmosphere of coziness and natural beauty. Surrounded by green palm trees and exotic plants, the hotel gives the impression that you are in a real tropical paradise. The design and decoration of the territory is very harmonious with the surrounding nature, which adds to the uniqueness and charm of this place. There are many animals on the grounds such as squirrels, varanas, monkeys, etc. The rooms at Kaju Green are spacious, bright and very comfortable. Each room is equipped with everything you need to feel at home. The cleanliness and order was of a high standard, which certainly added to the comfort level. The hotel staff is a separate topic. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. They were always a pleasure to talk to and were willing to help with anything from organizing excursions to recommendations on local food. The sincerity and desire to make our stay as enjoyable as possible was palpable. Hotel Kaju Green is the perfect place for both romantic getaways and family vacations. There is an atmosphere of tranquility and harmony and I took away with me only positive emotions. I recommend everyone who is planning a trip to Sri Lanka to stay at this wonderful hotel!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Kaju Green! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the calm and serene atmosphere of the lodge. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable, offering everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The food was exceptional – we thoroughly enjoyed both breakfast and lunch, with a variety of delicious, fresh options. We also indulged in a fantastic massage and had the chance to try canoeing, which was a great experience. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home throughout our stay. The peaceful and tranquil environment allowed us to unwind and fully relax. Overall, Kaju Green Eco Lodges offered everything we could have asked for and more. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway! Beautifully immersed in nature, worth noting that the huts are open to the elements. Therefore we encountered few mosquitoes, a small number of weaver ants and two huntsman spiders. Most of which remained outside the hut. The citronella diffusers under the bed clearly do a good job, we also had the mosquito net and repellant provided by the hotel. We believe the huts have also been treated with some level of pest control to really limit the number of insects inside the hut, so you sleep very comfortably at night. To us it was a small price to pay for all the other magnificent wild life we encountered, included but not limited to breakfast with the birds, monkeys and iguana’s, and dinner with fireflies. It rained heavily most nights and we got a very light mist once or twice but it was actually very very refreshing. As we were leaving the property another couple were complaining to the manager about most of the above, stating that they were scared to even sleep as they thought the relatively harmless weaver ants were dangerous fire ants. It’s worth noting that the manager Ruwan was very pleasant in the manner in which he dealt with this complaint. Communication from the manager was very good, he was very visible, introduced himself and ensured our stay was comfortable. Kitchen staff were lovely and the food was fantastic, we had breakfast included and tried the dinner a couple of nights. Yasanka particularly was very hospitable to us. Food was always tasty and fresh however I am glad we didn’t opt for the full boarding experience as there were places in town worth trying. Wijaya beach for example (where the hotels free tuk tuk ride will take you), is an incredible spot for dinner, and sunset.

Location is a little out of the way from anything, good if you simply want to stay put and relax. My recommendation to Kaju would be to explain the hut style in their marketing and/or provide an informative guide on the local animals / insects so guests can feel more reassured during their stay. It would also give guests a more in depth connection/understanding of the nature around them.

Absolutely loved the concept of this hotel. My intention was to get out and about and go kayaking and to the beach but I honestly found the hotel and my room so relaxing and zen that I barely moved from the room! The sounds of nature and the settings, all the greenery, view onto the water and the bamboo type walls all added to the ambience for me. There was a storm one night and as the cabins are open on 2 sides, I was a bit concerned, but not a drop of water got inside. There were squirrels and monkeys climbing on the roof at night (slightly terrifying) but again, all added to the vibe. The manager was amazing, so accommodating and I left a good tip for the kitchen staff as the food was absolutely amazing. I had an issue with the hotel I stayed at prior to this, and the manager at Kaju Green was kind enough to arrange my stay one night early with the absolute minimum of fuss, which was so welcome. Yes, there are bugs but there is a bug net that catches them over the bed for the evenings. Im not a bug person, but to be honest I just got over it and got on with it. It wasnt that bad. And at night you get the beautiful fireflies which are just magical - look out for them! I ate at the hotel every day - anyone who says the food is the same every day doesnt know what seasoning tastes like lol It was mostly veggie (one day there was chicken) and the portions were small (you can ask for more) but very filling & the flavours amazing. I found that the food was mostly different flavours daily, but the same concept daily.

For some reason the electric in my room kept going out. They managed to rectify each time but I think there was some sort of fault. The manager kept me informed, it wasnt their fault & the issue was sorted out. It didnt in any way effect my stay & im only mentioning it because it happened. Still loved the place & would definitely return!

Amazing place in the south of Sri Lanka. The place itself is like a peace of paradise. We stayed for 2 nights and definitely loved it and had an amazing time. Fabulous design, beautiful rooms that bring in the best aspects of the jungle while retaining the amenities of a luxury stay. The staff were super friendly, always available and happy to help. The food was very delicious, freshly cooked and offers locally sourced products. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality stay and a different kind of hotel experience. We truly enjoyed every single second there.
