Our stay at Sielen Diva exceeded all expectations for many reasons: - The villa is GORGEOUS - the pictures on the booking page are already beautiful, but in person it's even more beautiful. The common areas are comfortable and the room was spaceous, luxurious and worked well for our 7 day stay. The close proximity to the nearly private, quiet beach is also a massive a massive bonus as the beaches in the area are fairly crowded with tourists. - The food is DELICIOUS - we traveled around Sri Lanka for 2 weeks and the food at Sielen Diva was the best we had throughout our whole trip. The menu is extensive with everything from Avocado toast and granola bowls in the morning to delicious fresh juices, specialty cocktails, home made ice cream to more traditional sri lankan food such as curries. I also have to mention that the chef and villa manager are super attentive to their guests' needs. Every evening we got a special mix of curries, one of us is allergic to onion and the food was adapted to this and we briefly mentioned that we love mangoes, after which we got fresh mango daily. - The staff is the KINDEST we've ever experienced - the villa staff was honestly what made our trip (on top of everything else). Everyone is SO SO friendly, helpful and caring. I want to give a special mention to the villa manager George who went above and beyond throughout the whole week to make our stay comfortable and smooth, organising rides, a special birthday celebration with cake, giving advice, picking up fresh veggies, seafood and fruit from the farmer's market and generally being an amazing human. Both of us have traveled loads around the world and stayed at top notch hotels and our experience at Sielen Diva was among the best (if not the best) hotel experience we've ever had. Do yourself a favor and STAY HERE!!!

The Villa was wonderful. Our stay exceeded our expectations and whilst the amenities, pool and beach were wonderful, it was the Sielen Diva team who made our stay so memorable and wonderful. The team were incredible, the level of service they gave was outstanding. There is only a small number of staff (10) who are all incredibly passionate about their jobs and giving their guests the best stay possible. The food was also delicious and due to this we chose to eat at the Villa each day, apart from lunch at Turtle Beach and an evening meal whilst watching the sunset at nearby Galle. The food was made fresh and you could tell all the ingredients were sourced locally. The chef spoke to us a few times and again he was so passionate about the dishes he was creating. The menu had a wide range of options, it was very varied. I opted for the fish or seafood most days, The Chilli Crab, Baked Fish in Banana leaf and Hot Butter Squid were my favourites. On our last night, the chef prepared a special prawn dish for us, with fresh local bread. Food and drinks were more expensive than other hotels we stayed at, however considering the quality of dishes we were happy to pay. Breakfast was included and there was a wide variety of options available. Each breakfast started with fresh fruit, coffee, breads and freshly squeezed fruit juice. This is a small Villa, with just seven rooms so it is extremely relaxing and peaceful. We stayed for five nights and at times, the Villa felt like our own private place. It has a homely feel and we were genuinely very sad when we left. The villa is away from Unawatuna beach and Galle but there are local restaurants nearby, if you don’t want to eat in the Villa. Turtle beach is a short walk away, walking along the road. We honestly could not say one bad thing about the Villa or the team. Thank you to George and the team for making us feel so welcome and for taking care of us so well.

Nothing, 5 star Villa and service! If you are looking for a lively place to stay, this is not for you. But if you want somewhere luxurious but homely to relax and recharge, this is the perfect place!

Real luxury. great ocean view from the room - they all have large window fronts. Pool with sunbeds. Quiet location, a 10 min tuktuk drive to town. Small hotel with only a few hotel rooms.

Dinner/lunch in the hotel‘s restaurant has small portions and is by far overpriced. Falafel bowl consists literally of 3 falafel pieces for 9 US Dollar. Better to have dinner outside. No fridge in the room Hotel guests use pool without showering before - due to lack of visible outdoor shower. Can‘t be good for the hygiene of the pool.

Amazing villa with only 7 rooms so the experience feels very intimate and bespoke. All the staff including George were so friendly and helpful and really made our stay. The food was delicious and the included breakfast is great. Lots of nice lounging areas, one great for watching the sunset! Beach is rocky but if Oli walk a little further up there’s a nice place to swim. Would absolutely recommend staying here, it was one of our favourite places on our whole trip to Sri Lanka!

George mentioned they are going to be doing a refurb but having one extra bin in the bedroom and a mini fridge would have been good.

It’s not possible to swim near the hotel. But there is a good beach with turtles 10-15 minutes by foot

We stayed for 2nights at Sielen Diva in the beautiful Mora room. Located on the corner of the first floor, it’s a jaw droppingly large room, with floor-to-ceiling windows and an incredible bathroom. The view of the water and the sound of the waves from the gigantic windows is magical. The a/c was strong and effective. Much needed in Unnawatuna’s heat. The bed was large and comfortable. The room is spacious and the size of some apartments. The bathroom is probably the best that I’ve stayed at in the world! Light, and spacious. With a powerful shower where water falls from the 11ft ceiling. As there are just 7 rooms, the property never feels busy. There are plenty of dining areas and is a fairly private experience. Food at this boutique hotel is a highlight. The menu is delightful and food is delicious. Prices are a tad high for Sri Lanka, but not overly so from an international perspective. The pool is warm and spacious. And due to few guests, you can have the pool to yourself most of the time. There’s a clean private beach on the property. The seas were rough, but was fine for some beach photos. The games room is well-equipped with a pool table, football table, darts board, weights, board games, books and more. It’s very hot though and we couldn’t see a fan or a/c. Overall we had a great stay, and wished we could stay longer.

Beautiful hotel overlooking the ocean, with an infinity pool and adjacent to a beach. Only 10 mins to Galle, which has superb restaurants and boutique shops. The staff were all lovely. Santa let me borrow his personal phone to check in for my flight as WiFi was down. He also got me some medicine for my mosquito bites and cold! I did the yoga class. Had a massage. The cookery demonstration was fun and well worth it. We made 6 dishes.

No minibar or fridge. The WiFi went down on Wed evening and didn’t come back on until 1pm on Thursday. Luckily Santa let me use his phone otherwise I couldn’t check in to my flight or confirm my transfers. This needs addressing.

We booked the Suite (Eli Kunji) in the ground floor, but we changed to other room as it has more humidity feeling for us. The Management (George) was very helpful and he provide us with Monara room. The room is amazing, awesome views, great attention on the details, clean and very good and comfortable (bed, shower, wifi connection, plugs,…). Great hotel to go as a couple

The breakfast is not very clear what is included, as they charged extra coffee and eggs. It should be more clear the breakfast menu from the beginning what is included and what is extra, as how it is shown it’s not clear if there is extra charges on some items. However the management discounted this from the final bill, so we got a fair final bill.

There are too many things to list. The property itself is breathtaking, let alone the location! The beach out the front is clean and the waves are huge - we spent hours watching them. Not only that but the actual villa is stunning with infinity pool (great temperature) and towels provided, incredible views from the bedroom all the amenities you could want including robe, flip flops, comfy bed and even a beach bag and hats (I'm not sure if they were for decoration or borrowing!). The chef and menu was amazing too and they always set the table for us for breakfast, lunch and dinner, even if we weren't going to be there - food was amazing, especially the pancakes! Aside from this, the staff were lovely and welcoming, we arrived early and they accommodated our checkin early which was kind, and they linked us to a really nice Tuk Tuk driver who ended up being our guide! All in all, the best trip ever.

I cannot name a thing.

We recently stayed at Sielen Diva, and I cannot recommend this place anymore, if I could give it a higher review I would. Firstly and most importantly, the hotel is stunning as it suggests from the photographs, but what sets this place apart is the staff, Hasantha and George especially made my stay here amazing as it was my partners birthday and they put on everything amazingly and effortlessly. They go above and beyond in every aspect of your stay you feel like royalty but it is also so effortless for them and always to make your stay as comfortable as it can be. The staff across the whole property are amazing and they all deserve a mention. The hotel itself is on stunning grounds, immediately backing onto a stunning beach was lovely to take a stroll down. The rooms offer a view which could be put in a gallery. The pool is a great size and again gives great views. Room is cleaned daily. The massage service and other activities they offer are also top notch. There are so many small gestures which don’t go unnoticed from popsicles when it’s really hot, to fresh aloe Vera when you’ve been in the sun a bit too much the previous day and it these things which show the staff across the hotel care. Whilst I didn’t get the chefs name, he deserves a huge mention too as the food is honestly some of the best food I have ever had, especially the biryani which I highly recommend. From breakfast to dinner, you couldn’t fault a dish. Having stayed in places across Europe, Asia, America, I can easily state you will not receive a better service anywhere, and if there is I am yet to find it. The best way to finish this review is with a really big thank you as it’s deserved and i can’t wait to come back!
