This hotel was more pricey than those I usually stay in but I needed a good hotel that lies in that area so I picked this one. One of the best things was a very spacious bathroom. It was really nice and comfortable to take a shower, to put all my skincare and makeup on the sink. The lighting was gorgeous, too, easy to apply make-up. The bed was okay, by that I mean it was comfortable to sleep in but the matress was not very hard. The pillows were also okay, very soft but not as soft as in some hotels where you don't even feel them. The room was not very big I would say. If there were 2 people there, I think it would be hard for them to keep the suitcase open. The table and the chair were fine but I would say that if you plan to work from your room this is not the best option. The coolest thing is that you can open the window! I enjoyed it so much as I love having fresh air in the room! The air conditioner was a bit weird. It took it a lot of time to change the temperature. And I didn't open the window during that time so I guess it's just how it works. The tea and coffee selection was great! I enjoyed the tea so much that I ordered the tea from the brand that they used when I got home. You do hear the sounds from the corridor but my neighbors were quiet so it was just general noise from the door being opened, or a suitcase being brought. The breakfast was good. The selection is small but the quality is superb. The coffee was one of the best I had in a Swedish hotel, and they serve warm milk, too. It was very nice to go for a walk in the neighbourhood, there are some many places to visit around: shops, cafes, restaurants.

We got a free upgrade to an excellent room on the 5th floor, spacious room, sitting area, desk with power outlets. Particularly comfortable beds and wonderful bed linen. Spacious bathroom with all amenities, high quality towels, robes and slippers. Perfect location close to Stureplan, a metro station and the nearby shopping streets and restaurants

Despite prebooked time slots for the breakfast, the staff seemed disorganized and stressed. Th e hot section of the breakfast was far from up to standard. The egg dish, royal, was watery and what was called bacon clumsy chunks of fat and rind, a far cry from thin strips fried or grilled to crispyness

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Sparrow Hotel, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a hotel with an excellent location, delightful breakfast, and outstanding staff, this is the place to be. The hotel's location is simply unbeatable. Nestled in the city's heart, it's within walking distance of all the major attractions, shops, and restaurants. Whether you're here for business or leisure, you'll appreciate how easy it is to explore the area without needing a car. Public transportation is also conveniently nearby, making it even easier to get around. The buffet was a delightful mix of fresh fruits, pastries, hot dishes, and local specialties. The quality of the food was excellent, and the variety ensured that you always enjoyed the same options. What truly sets this hotel apart is its staff. I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality from the moment I arrived. The front desk team was incredibly helpful, providing recommendations for local sights and assisting with any requests I had during my stay. The housekeeping staff also did a fantastic job, ensuring my room was always clean and comfortable. Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to make my stay pleasant.

The Sparrow Hotel staff very friendly, professional and helpful. We had a deluxe bedroom level 2 facing bistro/courtyard; it was spacious with kingsize bed, two comfy chairs, desk, large TV and bluetooth speaker [a nice touch]. Toiletries L'Occitane better than most hotels, and towels changed daily and bedding once during our 3 night stay. Old fashioned elevator and some of the building architecture. Breakfast continental a good selection to keep you going for hours whilst walking Stockholm. Hotel location was central, a 15mins walk to waterside and surrounded by designer shops and good restaurants and bakeries only a short walk away. Don't forget to take a boat trip to Voxholm see the archipelago, walk the Old Town and visit the Royal Palace and Vassa Museum. Don't forget to indulge in wonderful cinnamon buns [Stora Bageriet], Swedish meatballs and dumplings [Traditional Restaurant Old Town].

Hotel, expecting a larger foyer, reception area, but, it was adequate.

The breakfast was lovely and really truly appreciated the vegan and gluten free options - which were delicious. The room was lovely - beautifully decorated with lovely touches. Loved the feel of the place and the old fashioned pieces eg the lift. Staff were also friendly.

There wasn't anything we disliked and we've recommended the hotel to a friend traveling to Stockholm later in the year as we think they will love it. We did share we were there for a big birthday, hence reason for staying at the hotel and hoped to upgrade (we knew we had a nice room but wanted to see if we could improve it)... the receptionist didn't look for us and said she thought it was fully booked. We thought the hotel might do something to acknowledge birthday to make it extra special... but that didn't eventuate. Of course the hotel doesn't have to do anything... we thought it was would be a nice touch if it did.

Great location - walking distance from Arlanda Express, near shops and restaurants. Breakfast is excellent, small-ish but very high-quality selection (especially croissants were amazing). The hotel and our room were very cozy and suitable for a combination of remote work trip & weekend get-away. One of the comfiest hotel beds I have experienced!

There are some bars nearby which seem to be pretty active during the weekend so there were some sounds of partying coming from the street at night. Did not bother us, but might be an issue if you're a super light sleeper.

Very centrally located, just a 10-15 mins walk from Gamla stan and other attractions of the city center. The hotel has a retro style and in some places it looks like a museum resembling to a Swedish home of the previous century. We loved the style of the room, the elevator, and the living room of our floor, which was very convenient for photos. We asked for a quiet room upon booking and we had it. The room was spacious and clean. Beds very comfy. The personnel is very helpful and kind, they answered all questions and requests adequately. The area of the hotel is safe. Over all, a very nice experience.

We requested an additional bed for our children, and we were charged an additional amount for the sofa transformation to a bed. As I am sure the management is reading these lines, I suggest you get rid of the IKEA and Ryanair mentality. You are a legacy hotel, not a low cost. Lots of crowds in breakfast, better avoid round hours like 8-9 and prefer 8.30 and 9.30 instead. You have to declare your time slot to the reception upon check in.

The hotel had a unique ambience to it. It seemed to meld old character features with modernity. The shared spaces had a nice comfortable feel to them. The reception staff was efficient and friendly. I also liked that they provided hand wipes at the front desk. The location was perfect for us especially being close to a metro station. The room was huge and had plenty of sitting space, a wardrobe, and lots of closet storage. There were large windows allowing lots of light (a big plus for me) even on the second floor. The curtains worked fine to keep out the light in the early morning. The pillows were soft, and the bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was large and had heated floors. The shower itself wasn’t large and did not have a place to put our shampoo/soap. The water did not stay in the shower; it went all over the floor. However, the water does dry reasonably quick with the sloping floor and heat. We quickly learned to not put the bathmat down while taking a shower because it will get soaked. The towels were large and there was a large ledge to store toiletries. I’m not a breakfast person, but the breakfast was so tempting that I ended up indulging myself every day. There was a wide variety, and everything was tasty. There is a wine bar at the hotel which was a nice place to unwind and relax after a day of exploring. The staff and service at the wine bar was excellent.

The cooling didn’t seem to work well even with the room card inserted in the slot. We couldn’t get the room to cool below 23.5°C. Luckily the windows were operable so we could cool the room a little bit by opening them at night. There was no ramp from the outside sidewalk to the lobby and elevator area which had about 8 or so steps to navigate. It wasn’t enough steps to make handling the luggage a big problem, but someone with a mobility issue might have difficulty.

We stayed in this beautiful hotel for a week and loved it! The hotel is set in two charming 19th century buildings in the exquisite Östermalm district. The location of the hotel affords you access to Stockholms main attractions. We booked the unique room on the top floor which was spacious enough for two persons and their luggage.The decor of this room was modern, different and colourful and it was equipped with everything you would need to make your stay comfortable. Cleanliness is a priority in the hotel; everything was spotless clean. We especially loved the French vibe of the hotel. Not only the rooms had a touch of French but the amazing breakfasts are also French inspired which you can enjoy with soft French background music. The Sparrow is a welcoming place to stay not only because of its decor and location but also because of its friendly and helpful staff.

Breakfast was really good. Nicely spaced tables, never rushed, friendly service. Delicious fresh juices, breads and pastries. Good cold selection and reasonable hot selection. Perfect boiled eggs. In our room, the bed was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was particularly nice with a great shower, toiletries, robes and slippers. The TV connected to our own netflix account. Gym was also good for hotel of this size.

When booking , we had not realised that the Unique tier of rooms had such little head room and such migraine inducing wallpaper. The decor was totally out of sinc with the rest of the hotel! We were happy with the size of the room but to be clear the decor was dreadful and garish.
