The Berns was such a beautiful place to stay! The location is excellent for walking. The room was so nice! The bed was very comfortable and the room had a fan which was essential for sleeping in the heat and humidity. That fan made such a difference! The bathroom was very nice and the room a really good size. The breakfast was so well done and varied plus getting to eat in that dinning room was a special bonus because it was stunning. The ladies at the main desk were always so kind and so helpful. I wish we would have stayed a few more days because it was a beautiful building and excellent location.

We drove a rental car and google maps for some reason would not take us to the front door. It was a mess trying to find the front door because going around meant going through a whole gauntlet of downtown Stockholm. If you are driving and using google maps be sure its taking you to the entrance on Nackstromgatan (because otherwise it just directs you to the middle of a nearby street and stops). We had them valet park the car because we were so sick of trying to figure out where to go! The valet process was well worth the money for us after finally finding out way to the entrance.

Staff were very professional, friendly & helpful. Our bedroom was spacious, clean, the bed was amazing, i never slept so well. The breakfast choices were vast, all the buffet food was so fresh and to a very high standard. The restaurant you had breakfast in was a grand dining room, beautiful decorated. The location was amazing, so central for all the sights and so safe. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel and when we go back to Stockholm I would definitely stay there.

There was construction going on during our stay (we had scaffolding outside our bedroom window) and we weren't advised until we checked in late in the evening. However to be honest we were not bothered by it during our stay, as everything else was so wonderful in the hotel, it just would have been nice to have known before arriving.

Beautiful hotel. Very clean. Nice styling to the hotel. Restaurant was gorgeous with the chandeliers. Staff were very nice, helpful and friendly. Bedroom was ample size. Bed very comfortable. Large TV. Lots on offer for breakfast, fruit, cereal, cheese, ham, tomato, sausages, rashers, eggs, mushrooms and so much more...A good location. Renovation work was going on but it didn't interfere with our stay. Highly recommend.

The restaurant is an Asian food restaurant which I don't particularly like so we didn't eat there..but that's not the hotels fault..it was popular though with other people, there were queues for it.

The room was beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Far more spacious than other european hotel rooms we've been in and the price was excellent especially for July. We were able to walk to everything and staff was amazing at helping with suggestions for dining and making reservations for us. Breakfast was exceptional. Excellent variety of foods, beverages and staff was present and very helpful. We would come back to the hotel without question.

There was absolutely nothing about our stay that I would say we "didn't like".

Great location. Rooms were small but comfortable for a short stay. I probably wouldn’t recommend for a stay over 3-4 nights as I’d feel a little claustrophobic. Good breakfast and a beautiful interior.

Several times i went to reception just to find it empty. I had to wait several minutes for someone to turn up, each time. I think that’s unacceptable considering I was there for a work trip and had places to be. Apart from that I must say when reception spoke to me they were always polite, helpful and professional.

Nice boutique hotel in the best location possible. Breakfast is great, good selection and very fresh. Rooms are stylish, comfortable and well appointed. Staff could not be nicer. The adjoining bar and restaurant serves great pan-Asian fare, and Calle P just outside the hotel is one of the best bistros in Stockholm- with a beautiful outdoor terrace in summer.

Rooms, at least on the top floor, are not really air conditioned, so it becomes really warm in summer.

The location is perfect for seeing all of central Stockholm and for enjoying boat excursions. The breakfast buffet was really well stocked with plenty of variety to satisfy all tastes. My room was recently renovated and nicely appointed with a small balcony. The dining hall is just outstandingly beautiful, more so than anticipated. Also a lovely outside dining area or places for drinks just bordering a small park.

My only nit is that room was small. It had no desk/table one could sit at. Also the bathroom lacked a shelf where one could easily lay out toiletries.

The breakfast was excellent with so much choice and variety. The room itself was stunning! The location was excellent! Overall we thoroughly enjoyed out stay and the minute cute balcony

I was very surprised how compact the room was... No room for two suitcases on the floor at all and vey little storage as well. My husband kept his clothes in his suitcase packed and and zip closed, stood on its smallest surface I folded clothes and hung clothes in the wardrobe - there were qyuite a few hangers fortunately ...

this is a magical hotel, brilliantly located near the historical district, the galleries and museums and the best shops. we were able to walk everywhere. The room was spacious and well appointed and had a whimsical flair.The hotel, being part of the history of the city for over 150 years has very interesting photographs and art work in all the central spaces and also adorning the hotel corridors. This adds to the warmth of the hotel as well. The main dining area is breathtaking with gorgeous chandeliers dating from the period when the hotel was first established, ceiling decoration fit for a palace and an illuminated balcony. The breakfasts are wonderful with all the options found in a top quality buffet. However, the secret to the elevated guest experience at this hotel is the staff. There is a warmth, pride in the hotel and kindness which amkes one's stay really special. Astrid, the manager at the reception is exceptional. She offered us advice about shopping and sightseeing which saved us time and made the experience in Stockholm really memorable. I would never stay anywhere else in Syockholm.

nothing could have improved my experience

The room was excellent, one of the largest I have stayed in with ample seating area for relaxation. The location is central and ideal for a tourist, just a short walk from the archipelago ferries. The breakfast was excellent, with a very wide selection of food, in an amazing dining room.

We had a five night stay and cannot find fault with anything.
