The room was really good for the price in Switzerland. It had good privacy, a beautiful balcony and having a private washroom with this price is a really good thing. Overall, a good stay.

Usually, when I arrive a hotel earlier, they check the rooms and if there is a room available, they will check me in earlier. Or just simply say that there are no available room till the check in time. But this time, I arrived around 4-5 hours earlier as I had a night bus. The agent at the hotel asked me to pay a full night if I want to check in earlier, which was a really bad first impression.

No. 14 tram from railway station stops right at the door. I had advised that moring that I would arrive earlier than planned. Altho I arrived about 13.30 my room was available for me and the man on reception was very pleasant and helpful. All hotel guests in Basel are given a Baselcard which apart from discounts to sights give FREE travel on all trams and buses including to and from airport. Hotel restaurant had a good menu and 3 or 4 3 course set meal. The cheapest SF21.50 was excellent value for money. The breakfast choice was not vast but more than adequate. My single room was small but very clean and comfortable.

Shower cublicle was small and when turning around I either pressed the tap off or the door opened. Hairdryer could have been better placed as it made leaning over the sink difficult.

Excellent value for money for budget accomodation but still hugely expensive. This is Switzerland. Warm helpful very efficient woman at reception. Small budget basic room but above expectations. So clean and comfy and functional. Good ventilation from windows Significant infrastructure work in the whole area so industrial machinery noise but suspect usually quiet. Night no problem. Wifi good Location very good Trams almost on doorstep. And only 10 min or so walk across river to marketplace cathedral or main art gallery. 15 to 20 min slow walk to train. But tram easy if required.

The Location was amazing - The Hotel is a walking distance to the City Centre, and interestingly the Tram stop is directly in front of the Hotel, which means that Guests do not even need to walk if they don't want to. The Free Basel City pass is also an added advantage as Guests don't need to spend anything for transport within the City.

The Breakfast didn't have lots of option - it was usually scrambled eggs and bacon every morning. A few more options will definitely raise the profile of the Hotel. The juice was also always Orange juice and Vitamin juice.

The hotel is in a central location. Stuff is extremely helpful. It is a very decent stay comparing to the price you pay.

The room was quite hot and as the weather reached 30 Celsius in Basel, it became a bit difficult. During night it was fine

The staff were very helpful and professional. The room, though quite small, was well-equipped. The hotel restaurant was excellent. The central location, a few yards from Claraplatz and only a few minutes walk from the Rhine, was very convenient and made the booking excellent value.

An unavoidable feature of the central location was that the streets were rather noisy with revellers until quite late at night, especially at the weekend.

Bedroom small but with all the comforts. Hairdryer was missing but they gave it to me immediately at the reception. The room was new and it was really nice. Shower was amazing.

The door is probably not well isolated. And since the room is close to the floor stairs door I was hearing everyone entering in the corridor. Plus I heard the guy in the room next to me while he was having a call. In the morning at 7.30am janitors started cleaning and the noise woke me up as they were shutting doors and moving carts. Not the best silence experience in my life.

The receptionist/manager was friendly & welcoming. We were lucky to be upgraded from an economy room. Room 216 was quiet with a small balcony situated at the back of the hotel away from the lift. It's a big room with TV, sofa and pod coffee machine. Secure underground parking around the corner from the hotel. Buffet breakfast in the restaurant has a good continental choice, variety of eggs, croissants, bread & some bacon. 15min walk over the Rhine River to the Old Town. Lots of shops, bars, restaurants in the vicinity including My Family Thai, wonderful food, service and good value for money.

The hairdryer lead needs repairing. The fridge doesn't get cold.

Convenient and comfortable stay. Good value for money on a single room in this location - these rooms are small so bear in mind that you get what you pay for. Helpful staff - helped with the swiss socket adapter which was needed for the room. The continental breakfast was very nice.

Make sure you check whether breakfast is included in your reservation - CHF18 is a high charge for the self service options in my opinion.

Let’s start at the Reception. I was travelling as solo parent with my 4 year old daughter. i had a last minute change of arrival time and had to call the hotel if they could take us at mindnight. my reservation starts the next day but luckily i was accepted and my daughter w/ no question . we were given a temporary room that early morning. then were transfered to our main reservation with it was 10x better with a view of the atreet. the location is pretty much the best part of our stay. if you are travelling with kids take this hotel. lower your expectations on cleanliness thought but okay enough to sleep in a auper comfy bed and shower. the location is between two great streets. play areas for the kids are just minutes on foot and so is the main center.

it was not cleaned properly. bulky hair feom previous clients. filled trash inside the hotel room and almost finished toilet paper not replaced before we got into our 2nd room. the cleaning lady did not even bother cleaning under the bes.the hotel is great but they should hire a different cleaning lady. she’s terrible.
