We chose this hotel to experience a traditional Swiss hotel,to be away from the hustle and bustle of Luzern but to be able to visit the city daily. Downstairs,the hotel retains the wood panelling and decor typical of an alpine hotel.Upstairs, the bedrooms are modern and well appointed but still have unique wood features, and the beds are exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. There are several buses to the centre of Luzern from just outside the hotel and the journey takes 11 minutes. The 73 post bus was very reliable, clean and a smooth trip.

This is a very nice hotel which has been well updated , warm welcome. Very nice view from the room.

Sink drain pipe were blocked. Shower’s pipe of the bathroom had leaking. We have two bottles of water in the room, but one of them was unfastened and didn’t have the bottle cap. Breakfast was so weak, although we were there at 8:30, but breads were finished and the waitress who was in charge went to the bakery and fortunately bought one!!! She was so kind, and also there were some plates which hasn’t been charged!!! Totally I think that they didn’t pay much attention to everything. The reason that I complained is that the owner pay attention to details.

Susan, Markus and their entire staff do an outstanding job. Breakfast was delicious, beds very comfortable, and the water pressure in shower was outstanding.

If you want a place walkable to Lucerne this isn’t for you. But we loved the location. We easily took the bus into Lucerne and loved how quiet it was in the neighborhood. There is not an elevator (no big deal to us) and no AC. These “drawbacks” didn’t stop me from giving the hotel a 10. The positives were so amazing, the others didn’t matter to us.

We were well looked after by all the staff! The hotel is beautiful and has great charm. We had a room with a balcony which had a stunning view of the village and the church. The room was a great size and beds were extremely comfortable. All of the hotel was very clean and well maintained. Breakfast had great options. We were sad to leave this hotel and look forward to coming again.

Glass on one side of the bathroom was not frosted, would have preferred complete privacy.

Although the location is away from Lucerne, it was a quick 15 bus ride from the train station right to the hotel. All the staff were exceptional. They had staff carry our luggage to our upstairs room. The chef-owner Marcus was a wonderful host, as was his wife, and the restaurant was amazing!

We stayed here for 1 night, the hotel interior was all wooden which i loved. the hotel room was fairly large the only criticism I would have is that although the bathroom was very modern, the frosted glass partition and the lack of a door did make things awkward as I was sharing a room with my daughter, apart from that the room and hotel was fantastic, even a fridge full of cold bottles of water that you could help yourself to, also lots of free tea and coffee. We didnt eat here in the evening but the food did smell extremely good, we did have breakfast here which was very nice (the best breakfast my daughter had had while we were away as they served beef).

I can hardly describe the beauty of Landgasthof Hotel Rossli- it is out of this world! The staff was wonderful & the owners took time to personally give us a tour! We enjoyed visiting with both the husband & wife who have put their lives into this beautiful place. They were so welcoming & friendly. The hotel itself is breathtaking- if you have ever wondered what the inside of a Swiss Chalet is like- you have to stay here. The breakfast was a whole experience in itself. I just cannot say enough good things & wish we would have stayed longer.

Beautiful 250 year old old guesthouse in a quiet neighbourhood of Luzern. Bus stop to city centre is only 2 minute walk and 14 minute trip to the centre of Luzern. Rooms have been tastefully renovated, large and exceptionally clean. Hosts Markus and Susy are very welcoming. They serve a very good breakfast and the restaurant serves great meals. Highly recommend staying.

The hotel is charming, beautifully furnished and staffed superbly. The food was fresh and well presented.

We were two friends traveling together and had the unfortunate experience of being in the attic room. While a very spacious and pretty room, the toilet was separated from the room by only a curtain. Perhaps for a couple this would have been acceptable but for friends this enforced intimacy was embarrassing and not workable. I hate leaving a negative remark when everything else was so superb but I would have appreciated being forewarned before our arrival.

The owner of the guest house Susy and Markus were so hospitable. They made sure that their guest needs were taken care of. Btw, their staff Gesila is friendly, too. I stayed in the attic room and the view was amazing especially the church bell ringing every 30 minutes added uniqueness to someone's travel experience. If you want to experience staying on a countryside and Swiss hospitality, I would definitely recommend Landgasthof Hotel Rossli.

It is a unique guest house it doesn't have an elevator, so be prepared to carry your luggage though Susy was kind enough to help me carry my stuff.
