We arrived late in the evening and were assigned a "lake view" room on the third floor, as we had booked. However, we were a bit disappointed by the view and had hoped for something better. The next morning, I had a conversation with the incredible Amandine at the reception desk. She promptly arranged for us to move to room 8817, which provided us with the most breathtaking view we could have ever imagined. The breakfast options were abundant and of the highest quality, exceeding our expectations. The staff's exceptional service played a significant role in making our experience truly outstanding. As I mentioned before, the location itself, facing the lake and the Geneva fountain, speaks for its beauty. In summary, this journey was worth every Swiss Franc we spent. Our heartfelt gratitude to the entire Fairmont Geneva staff for making our stay so memorable.

The balcony's "garde corp," constructed from concrete or stone, unfortunately obstructs the incredible vista of the lake and Geneva fountain. While seated, the perspective is restricted to a wall and the sky. To address this, we ingeniously utilized a room chair atop the balcony fauteuil, enabling us to fully relish the breathtaking view directly from our balcony.

Location is great Rooms are large comfy beds

One of the staff in the restaurant where the breakfast is, I was talking to him and while I'm talking he left to serve another person. That changed my feedback about the staff completely.

the Spa facility is not good. you need water and refreshments options by the pool and a shower near the pool and an area for families to use instead of just separate male/female changing rooms that are outside the pool area. also it’s so difficult having to use room key to access the pool and changing rooms if you have one key to hand for the family. The steam room is downstairs far away from the pool. the was a box of arm bands for children but they were ripped with holes and not possible to use any. the spa set up is not ideal for an expensive hotel.

Excellent breakfast, one of best I have ever had at a 5 star hotel. Reception and cleaning staff were also amazing. Great location too.

It's a business hotel, not an old style "palace" style hotel? The common areas (reception, floor corridors) are somewhat tired looking, a face lift would be very beneficial.

Staff at this hotel were very friendly and the restaurants were really excellent - service plus quality of the food. Hotel rooms were small and quite basic and stuffy though and given how quiet it was when we were there, 23 December, it was a shame the hotel didn't think to upgrade our rooms for a better view. It would have been a nice touch. Beds were very comfortable though and the pool area was lovely. Good location by the lake and fab views from the restaurants (though not from our rooms!)

The breakfast each morning was lovely, buffet style in a restaurant overlooking Lake Geneva. Excellent service.

We had requested a room upgrade as it was my husband’s birthday and we were staying for 6 nights and we got an email back to say this would be done, but we didn’t get an upgrade in the end.

The location opposite the lake, and the delightful promenade is excellent. The breakfast was everything you would want.

I can’t think of any area of improvement, that I would have appreciated. Maybe the restaurant could have a more ambitious menu.
