The service rendered at reception. The location, close to the main train station. The comfort of my single room. Just A bit small in size, but confy bed Close to all amenities, restaurants, shops, coffee shops, pharmacies, clothing shops, and MANOR, a must to visit, especially the supermarket. I call it: the museum in culinary experience. And of course, the restaurant at the top floor, which provides an array of food for any palate at a reasonable price. Cheaper than all restaurants in Geneva

The room is just a bit too small But the norm, I suppose, and really, not a great issue Otherwise, nothing else.

Literally across the road from the main train station, I left Geneva Airport and got into Geneva within 10 mins, and it was really handy to be that close. It was in walking distance to Lake Geneva, shops, restaurants, and the bus station. The room was compact and clean with TV and tea/coffee making facilities. It also had a fridge, which was handy. The reception area was lovely with a lift up to your required floor.

The room was a little dated but was comfortable enough for what I needed. Walls on the thin side, I could hear the neighbours chatting, showering, and toileting. Luckily, it wasn't into the night. Bathroom facilities were good, although the shower didn't spray properly and requires a good descaling. Apart from these, I would return.

I visited Geneva for one night and stayed at the Astoria. The hotel location was perfect, located across from the main train station. My room overlooked the square and remained exceptionally quiet. I met a helpful and friendly gentleman at the desk. Furthermore, my room was clean and featured a spacious bath. The hot water temperature was ideal for a relaxing bath. I enjoyed fast wifi and experienced no streaming issues. I appreciated the easy check-in process and overall efficient service. In summary, I highly recommend the Astoria for a refined Geneva stay. I left feeling thoroughly satisfied and impressed.

The room could do with a bit of modernisation.

Unexpectedly good place, everything is next to the door or around the corner. Room was clean and comfi, large enough for one or two people. Good shower!!! Staff are friendly and helpful. Good coffee for breakfast. Important!!! My room had and extension cord above the table with ALL TYPES of power outlets! I never saw that. Generally, no one needs to worry about adapters for cellphone or computer.

Breakfast (excluding coffee) in the hotel was so-so, just scrambled eggs (with water?!), bacon and white sausages (tasteless) for hot and two types of bakery. It should be more options.

The location, staff and facilities were fabulous. I had a wonderful stay in Geneva for a long weekend. The price was more than reasonable for such an expensive city and similar hotels nearby could hardly compete with this hotel. The breakfast was worth it. It has been a good start of the day. The area is safe and with great amenities, the train station has got a food store, supermarkets are in the vicinity too. You can choose from many restaurants around, according to your taste and budget.

I didn't find much to dislike.

We wanted a location close to the central train station, as we had to catch an early flight from the airport served by trains. Hotel Astoria served that function, and unlike what you see in many cities, the hotel area is quite nice. There are excellent restaurants nearby. Our room was basic, but comfortable, and it was quiet. The bathroom was small, but functional. The desk staff were helpful and welcoming. The hotel has air conditioning and a working elevator. There was a breakfast buffet, but we had to leave before the scheduled service time.

Our room had a balcony, but the latch to the door to it was not functioning.

Everything was brilliant. Was able to check in early as room was ready, had a double room with balcony which was very large and the balcony was exceptional over looking the Notre Dame church made the trip, the bed was very comfy, the shower and bathroom area was large and clean, the little mini fridge was extremely beneficial. The staff were great absolutely lovely people. The breakfast was also very nice. My request for a particular room was perfectly met. The location is absolutely perfect. So happy.

Room was a little warm but it was an exceptionally hot day in Geneva so not really a fault of the hotel.

This is a good option to explore Geneve. It is located right in front of the main train station, close to plenty of restaurants and cafés, and all things considered I thought it was quite central, with good public transport connectivity. The rooms seem to be a bit on the small side of things, but nothing too bad. There is a good desk, solid WiFi, comfy bed and nicely decorated room. The view on mine was looking over the internal plaza the buildings in the block have, so it was super peaceful. I guess if you had a room overlooking the street things could get a bit noisier as it is a very busy street, but I am not sure.

The bathroom was generally disappointing in quality. The shower head was very bad. It was not possible to have a good shower due to this. Positioned very low, but then the water as well did not come out uniformly, it was a mess.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It was easy to walk there with heavy luggage from the station (and I am not fit!). There is a lift. The room was comfortable and the staff welcoming. There are lots of shops and restaurants in the vicinity, should you require anything. At night I went to a ballet and walked back at 23:00, feeling quite safe on my own. I did not reserve breakfast, so I cannot comment on it. Bonus was a shower with water that was immediately warm! If I return to Geneva, I will definitely stay there again!

What a find, an economy single with a comfortable bed, super clean small bathroom, good TV, facing a quiet green area. The bedding and towels appeared to be new, of great weight. When the soccer game of the evening got loud, simply shutting the solid newer window blocked the noise. There was a very efficient exterior sun shade that I closed during the day, to help keep the room cool. Excellent desk staff; when I arrived at only 0845 from the airport and thought I would only be able to have my luggage stored, the gentleman checked and said my room would be available in less than an hour. So I had breakfast next dooor at the British pub, and when I was back, the room was ready. Now, that is fortunate and I expect it often can't happen, but it sure made my day.

The tiny bathroom has a tiny sink, and there is a very nice 6" glass shelf above it. But it took a little positioning to be able to brush my teeth, as the sink is very close to the wall too. Not much is likely to change that, but really it was minor. The shower is small, but it works well.
