Convenient walk to Geneva station - we even carried out luggage. Convenient to Old City and downtown. We were upgraded into a newly remodeled room - spacious, clean, plenty of drawers, comfy bed, couch, Nespresso machine (but see comment below on limited coffee pods.) Breakfast is self-serve, adequate. Hotel is good value for location and comfort.

1. No Toilet privacy! A design oversight allows line of sight through the glass shower right to the toilet! We hung a bath towel over the shower door to provide privacy. (Easily remedied of hotel simply frosts the glass.) 2. Only one coffee pod and one decaf pod in a room for two? I understand a limit, but at least offer two caffeinated pods. Additional pods available for 1.50 CHF - Feels like the hotel is trying to make money by selling coffee, so coffee machine in room is really not a perk. 3. Bathroom pocket door very difficult to open one shut. Probably just needs an adjustment.

My stay at this hotel was very enjoyable. The hotel staff is exceptional!!! I'd give the staff 5*. Very courteous, friendly, welcoming, helpful and this made my stay very pleasant. I actually stayed in total 8 nights at Hotel Rousseau vs. the original booking of 4 nights because I just kept extending my stay there. Before I moved to this hotel, I stayed a few nights at a 5* hotel on the lake and other than a balcony with a lake view, size of the bathroom, and a grand lobby I must say that the difference in experience was not that large. The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring the city, the center and surroundings. Central Station is a short walk away so you have all the connections you need to buses, trams, trains. Many great restaurants and shops for all budgets are a walking distance away. Lake is only a 4 min walk. The room decor is nice and it looks like it has recently been updated. The bathrooms are small and basic but adequate. I did not have an opportunity to use the hotel restaurant but it looked nice. I highly recommend this hotel. I will definitely choose it again for my next visit to Geneva and have already recommended it to my friends.

I love this place as a reliable and great option in Geneva. It has been renovated and expanded, yet it retains that cozy feel. I had a room on a top floor at the back and it was blissfully quiet. The room is big and functional. I was able to easily add breakfast even though I had not originally requested it. The location is great: next to anything you need, but not on a main road with speeding motorbikes. Check-in and check-out was easy. The hotel sends you an electronic card for TGP public transport, so you can use it from your arrival at the airport and not have to think about tram/bus tickets for the rest of your trip.

Great value for Excellent Location Right in the heart of city a block from lakeside surrounded by restaurants. Yes it is an old style building with old decor, but that is trade off if you want the location with out the big price tag. The room was a good size for city center, even had a big cupboard to hang cloths and liked that the bathroom is completely separate and does not open directly into the bedroom. The bathroom is quite small though. The bed is the most comfortable I have slept in across Europe! The staff were always very helpful and pleasant.

No English Breakfast Tea or Milk/Creama if you don't drink coffee Could not open window for fresh air as it is broken.

Staff were friendly, checkout until 12 was great for me, but check in at 4 may be too late for some. Room was spacious and comfortable. wonderful shower! Aircon a blessing after a hot day. Location was amazing - very central.

There was a coffee maker and fridge but no kettle or other plates/cutlery. I used the hot water function on the coffee maker to make my own tea but it was not super hot. The two cups that were there were different sizes (one big and one small), so if you were with someone else then you could not have the same coffee. Two pods for the coffee maker provided free, but one was decaf - so again for two people not ideal.

Everything was very clean, friendly staff (we left our bags at the hotel after checking out to walk around with no problem), great location.

The bed wasn’t super comfortable, and you could sometimes hear the bathroom door being shut and open upstairs. We found the bathroom very interesting - you could see into the bathroom itself as the walls are made of glass.

The hotel has been recently renovated. the beds are very comfortable, showers are amazing. Includes a Nespresso machine for coffee and a nice chaise lounger for relaxing. Lots of room for storing coats and clothing, a desk and a hairdryer. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I had lovely conversations with the manager. The breakfast area is well stocked and clean, we didn’t eat breakfast there but I saw it a few mornings. The hotel is walking distance to almost everything. The is an amazing gourmet grocery store around the corner for fresh meals and store items. We only used public transport for the airport and once to go to the Sunday Market. The free transport card is also a nice bonus.

This hotel has no downside!

Walking distance from the train station and from the lake shore. Beautiful, comfortable and silent room. Available and gentle staff.

The location of the hotel was fabulous, between the main train station and the lake. just a 5 minute walk to both, and to the old town of Geneva also. The staff were very pleasant and we were able to leave our luggage there when we arrived quite early. We were told that we were upgraded to a new business room. The room was very spacious and clean. It was bright, comfortable, and nicely decorated to a good quality level. The bathroom was fabulous, with an enormous shower and excellent hot water. I would recommend this hotel.

The only thing that was not perfect was the sofa. It was so hard that it was uncomfortable to sit on.
