No hot water kettle, no fridge. Room curtains damaged.

The best thing about this hotel is the view. this hotel must have one of the best views in the whole of lugano I give it five stars for the view only.

I booked a business twin room but on checking in was giving a double room.I spoke to reception who said they did not have a twin room and said it was not the hotels fault.I showed my booking confirmation which showed the twin room booking.I was then told the cleaner would put an extra bed in a room but this would be the next day which I had no choice but to accept.

Location in the close proximity to bus, boat and train stop, directly on the lake promenade and easy to get to town by foot or by public transport. The hotel is furnished in art deco style but it feels like it would eventually need refreshment, but still nice. For the city tax you get a Ticino card, which allows you to travel in whole Ticino free of charge, with public you need to ask for it at the reception.

Breakfast was very basic , very average coffee , croissants did not feel fresh, some jams, one sort of bread, cheese and salami, one sort of cereals and eggs to self boil.

The balcony view to the lake was beautiful. I liked the old style building, but definitely needs a update, but if you like old world charm it's great. The breakfast was very good, and able to sit on the 1st floor balcony for breakfast, looking out at the lakr was delightful. Staff were helpful in the office and at the breakfast.

No air conditioning, so needed to keep the balcony doors open, but that end of town was reasonably quiet to be able to do that. No tea or coffee facilities in the room, or a fridge, that would have made all the difference, as prices in switzerland is so expensive.

Breakfeast quite lousy. Striptease bar at the hotel is a bit extreme 😄

Friendly, helpful stall, although the receptionist was not always available. Excellent breakfast and location! Boat docks were just across the street and the bus stop a few blocks away…easy access to the train station, although over some cobblestone on the way to the bus stop with suitcases. The view from our room was gorgeous and we enjoyed sitting on our little balcony in the morning and evening. There was a festival across from the hotel on our last night which was very loud until 11:00 pm. That was somewhat annoying, but the hotel windows and air conditioning effectively blocked out the sound. Overall it was a lovely stay and we would return to this hotel.

This hotel felt like taking a step back in time. The front desk staff were helpful and the breakfast was good. The room is large with an amazing view of the lake. The bathroom was also large and had a bathtub which was a welcomed amenity. The hotel is in a very good location for walking the lake path.

I wouldn't recommend the restaurant below the hotel - it is overpriced and not very good.

hotel Victoria was in my price budget and the location was excellent for my extended leisure stay , I chose a front suite with balcony to enjoy the view and relax after great days of sightseeing . easy location and bus transport to allow a quick return trip to freshen up and chill on the balcony during the day, before heading to the restaurant at the front of the complex for a pizza and wine dinner with a view of the Lake water feature.

as I’m a non smoker the lingering smell of Cigar smoke wasn’t to my liking. A quick fix would be to daily air out the rooms that are smoked in .

the location you couldn’t ask for better

the whole property is in a time warp from the 50s 60s , the decor is in need of a major over haul . also some of the electrical leads are major trip hazards . the ac unit worked when it wanted too . and the place wasn’t exactly clean

The breakfast was very good. The view to the lake was fantastic. The location was excellent. Exactly on the lake shore. Had a parking space across the street (with an low extra fee)

The hotel is quite old and could use a renovation. However if renovated, I guess prices would go up, so overall currently a great value for money.
