Renovated comfortable small room. Bathroom was ok, shower inside the bathtub. Very well located. Only a 5’ walk away from the main train station. There is a supermarket in the other side of the street. Walking distance to the city center / shopping area (Bahnhofstrasse) and to many good restaurants. Friendly staff at the reception. Breakfast available, we didn’t have it.

location was great ... walkability factor to places I wanted to explore. Found good restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good. Wish restaurant was open on the weekends for dinner. Staff helpful and friendly ... I was able to get to my room even if I was several hours early than check-in time.

I booked a taxi to the airport via the hotel and was given an estimate. However, when I inquired about the cost from the driver, he was going to charge me a lot more than the estimate I was given. He said it was the hotel's estimate and because of the size of the car (a van) that was used, he was charging more. But I said I was the only passenger and I only had 2 medium bags and a small one. I was able to negotiate to pay less. Perhaps, when booking with the hotel, this should be made clear up front.

1. Excellent location in the heart of the shopping district and a 10 min walk from Zurich Hbf. 2. Checkin was very quick and smooth. 3. Excellent suite - spacious, with two full bathrooms; even has a balcony. Perfect for a family of four. 4. Comfortable bed & good housekeeping service for the extra beds for children. 5. Love that the room is not fully carpeted - just bedside rugs on a wooden floor. Clean feeling.

1. The bedroom floor is slightly lower than the entry lobby and one has to step down when entering, so it is very easy to mis-step as we did multiple times. Luckily no major injury. 2. There was no individual temperature control for the rooms, which is always nice to have. Sometimes the temperature set by the hotel felt warm / cold.

1. Very close to Zurich HB train station (5-6 mins walk) and about 20 mins casual walk to the Zurich Lake Waterfront. Across the road is Migros super market, a lot of restaurants nearby and other handy stuffs like pharmacy. 2. Very friendly and helpful front reception staff who helped with an early check in for us. 3. The room was pretty neat and clean but definitely on the smaller side. 4. Taxi drop options available from the hotel to the main station or to the airport.

1. Room size - once we unlocked our suitcases there was very little space to move around the room. 2. Thin curtains - a lot of street lighting comes into the room at night. This is a good option for a maximum of 2 nights. Due to the location and hotel staff good behavior I am rating this as 8, otherwise I would rate this as 6.5-7.

Hotel had a very good location, close to central of Zurich. Busses near everywhere, very easy to go places. Walking distance to the Zurich HB station which was great. Breakfast was okay. Rooms were spacious enough. Best price we could find around the prime area which was great. Would definitely book again. Staff were friendly too, and accomodating. Area feels very safe.

Staff forgot to tell us there was a sauna area and facilities. We thought there werent any till the last day, so it felt a bit wasted. I would opt out of the breakfast next time. There are much better options around, for the same price or cheaper actually.

Hotel City Zürich Design & Lifestyle boasts an excellent location, just a short 5-7 minute walk from the train station, making it incredibly convenient for travelers. The proximity to multiple bus lines near the hotel further enhances its accessibility, providing easy transportation back to the train station and around the city. The hotel is situated in a quiet neighborhood, offering a peaceful retreat from the bustling city center. One of the highlights is the charming view, featuring various clock towers and churches, which adds a touch of Zürich's classic beauty to your stay.

The hotel has a couple of drawbacks that might affect some guests' experiences. The close proximity to neighboring office buildings compromises privacy, especially on the balcony, as people from nearby offices can potentially see into the room. This might be uncomfortable for guests who value their privacy. Additionally, while the clock towers contribute to the scenic view, their chimes can be disruptive at night, potentially affecting light sleepers or those sensitive to noise.

the hotel is new, the interior is very nice and comfortable. we enjoyed our stay. the beds were really nice and comfortable and it's a great place to rest after a long day of going around the city. they even had turn down service and put a piece of chocolate on the pillow. it was also about 5 to 8 minute walk from the train station so it was very convenient for transfers. Breakfast was okay too!

the elevator was very small :) we stayed at the second floor so sometimes we could hear people/loud music but it was not bothersome and not long. zurich in general is a quiet city.

The room was large and there was a ton of storage space. we stayed in seven hotels in Europe, mostly more expensive and we felt cramped in all of them. There was never enough space to put our stuff down. This is a well designed and well thought through room layout.

The air conditioning pretty much did nothing and opening the windows wasn’t really an option because it was noisy outside. So we were pretty hot every night when we were sleeping. Also, they do not provide irons or steamers, which is absolutely necessary for travelers . They wanted you to go down and get a key to a lock a room, then iron and then bring it back. This is far more than it was worth.

This hotel was nicely presented and new throughout. I had a cute little one-person room with a large bathroom and bathtub. There was a wind-down shutter and block out curtains on the window. An ironing room on 3rd floor - had to get the key from reception. Checkout time was 11am. (Though this meant that there were a lot of people waiting to check in at 2pm). The buffet breakfast, for an extra 24 euros, was pretty good.

I liked the accommodation a lot, though accommodation in Zurich is very expensive. I chose it for its closeness to the station and relative affordability.

The staff, without any exception, was most welcoming and attentive to requests. We'd like to mention in particular Mrs Monica Rial and Mrs Sarina Nyffenegger for helping with the luggage, recommending on the rooms, follow-up on demands. - Although this is a 3 Star hotel, and although the lobby is a bit old and short on space, with the dining room smell unfortunatley distributing through the hotel, the cleanliness of the room (delux superiour), modern bathroom, and the excellent location with everything in walking distance and access to the tram, make up for possible shortcomings

(1) The hotel is located on a street where sometimes very noisy cars, which are rented on an hourly basis, circulate around, producing noise during nighttime. (2) On a Friday morning (and potentially also on Tuesday), the garbage bins are collected in the steets. The noise from the truck in the street lasts for more than ten minutes and will wake you up at 6:30 am.
