Hotel has all that a traveler would like to have at very economical price. Nice and clean room and Bathroom. Room with Balcony is ideal to enjoy nice weather of Istanbul. Rooms are small but bigger than many other hotels in this area, please compare size before booking. Very professional and cooperative staff specifically Mr. Omar helped us for our needs. We left our luggage in the hotel for 3 days while we went to Cappadocia with full confidence. Restaurant staff was also very decent, cheerful, and always willing to help. Hotel only serves breakfast. . Turkish Breakfast buffet is very nice, healthy and good variety. Hotel is only 5 minutes walk to tram Station which connects to all visit sites. All types of shops are nearby. World famous sweet shop Hafiz Mustafa since 1864 is also at 5 minutes walk. If prefer to walk then visit sites are from 10 to 30 minutes walk. Hotel arranges pick and drop at very reasonable prices.

Small reception lobby but that does not matter because no one stays there for more than a few minutes. There are hotels chairs on street outside hotel which are good to enjoy weather.

So you've decided to stay in Sultanahmet, and are looking for a great hotel to stay in, to explore Istanbul and much more? Queens Land has tremendous value to offer. Normal check-in is at 12 PM, breakfast is served from 8 to 10. I contacted them ahead of time to tell them to I would land at 7 am and would need an airport transfer. They arranged a special, private van - you feel like a VIP. When I reached, breakfast was being prepared and they told me to help myself (free of charge) while they get things in order. I checked-in shortly afterwards. Don't make the same mistake I made, everything is close to you. Bosphorus tours are within walking distance. Sim card shops, exchanges and much more. Spice bazaar is 4 minutes away, and the grand bazaar is within a 10 minute walk. Now, the staff are some of the most amazing human beings ever. Friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I was offered tea everytime they saw me. When I was in a pinch, it's like they sensed it and offered to help. They are on your side. We had noisy neighbors (that woke me up 3 times past midnight), the second I informed reception of this, they immediately changed my room. A popular topic about this, is definitely their selection of breakfast. Is it simple? Yes. But again, I found the simplicity somewhat homey. It could be better, but if your schedule is as packed as mine was, you wouldn't mind grabbing a quick bite and heading out.

The rooms need some work, the space might be tight, but in all honesty, I didn't mind it since the place was strategic and I knew I wouldn't spend much time in the hotel but rather outside. It's simple, humble and does the job. Message to the owner: your staff are amazing. Your hotel needs work. The devil is in the details, there is nothing stopping queens land hotel from being a top tier place -you already have the people, make the investment and upgrade the rooms, fix the issues, and most definitely don't split up a room into two (our first room had a shared door with another room -they literally split 1 room into 2. Why? Doesn't make any sense).

IT WAS BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS! I was quite shocked! I mean I was expecting less quality specially with the value of money paid, not to forget that not all reviews were encouraging! The location of the hotel is remarkable! Close to almost everything (Misir bazaar, eminonu, SultenAhmet, Hagia Sophia, in addition to different restaurants/ cafes)! The room was quiet smaller that expected but the bed was comfortable, the housekeeping service was exceptional! I have checked online reviews before booking, all complains were almost on the breakfast area which was small yet cozy! The variety of food was fine, I mean it's breakfast! They offered 2 types of main courses for breakfast, in addition to other deli cheese, meat, olives, jams and soo! Lastly, the whole reception team was friendly, they spoke both English and Turkish, they were quiet helpful and ensured the availability of transportation!

The location is awesome, close to all the main attractions (walking distance) and near to grocery shops and nice restaurants, all with good prices. The neighbourhood is safe and peaceful. The staff was really nice and friendly, always willing to help. The breakfast buffet was rich with various types of food every day and never empty during the breakfast serving time. The bathrooms were also clean and cosy The decoration style of the whole hotel is nice and gives a special vibe to the whole experience. We were also trully satisfied with the pick-up service in both ways arranged by the hotel (airport- hotel) that brought us comfortably and safely to hotel/airport. The room size (economy double) was sufficient for a couple on vacation who's mostly exploring the city and not staying the room (which was perfect for us).

The bed was a bit too short and there was a dent on one side of the matress, which would make sleeping uncomfortable for someone with back problems.

The room was far smaller than it appeared on the website, however, it was large enough for a 3 night stay for two people, including our luggage for a 2 week trip to Turkey and the balcony was a bonus, despite the view of nothing! Bed was memory foam, huge and very comfortable with excellent bedlinen and pillows, plus the bathroom was very clean, plenty big enough with an excellent shower. Breakfast was an excellent spread on a small scale, this being a small hotel. The waitress was adorable - big, beaming smile, helpful and kind, she really deserves a mention. Location was brilliant, walking distance from Sultan Ahmet, Metro stations, the Galata bridge and tower, Grand Bazaar & Spice Bazaar, loved it. The initial disappointment of the size of the room (the photos are very deceiving) soon disappeared when we discovered all the delightful things about this hotel.

The TV wouldn't work, which we found annoying as we'd left the UK the day after the death of Her Majesty the Queen and wanted to keep up with the news. There was a fridge fitted in the wardobe but nowhere to plug it in, so it was pointless. However, having travelled in Turkey a lot, this was just par for the course!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located on a quiet street, the location is excellent if you want to visit historical sights. There are many places to eat within a few hundred meters. The staff at the reception speak English, Russian and Turkish. There was almost no sound coming through the room dividers, which was good. The location of the hotel is very good. This area is crowded and can be noisy, but the hotel was quiet. On one side of the hotel is a dead-end street without traffic. On the other side, there is only a small street with little traffic, which is closed at one end with barriers on some days. At that time, there are no cars on the street at all. You don't expect beautiful window views on streets like this, but that's normal in this area. If you want mesmerizing views, there are hotels in other areas that cost more.

Some of the small rooms have no street view and therefore there was little light in the room. The room was cheaper by that. If it bothers you, you can ask about it when booking in advance and choose a room with a bigger window and a street view. There was no information about it on the website. I was able to change rooms for a small extra fee. Maybe the hotel rooms could use a little updating, but overall it was good. The price-quality ratio was quite good.

The staff were lovely and the bathroom was nice, the water pressure was also good in the shower.

The bed wasn’t very comfortable. We were also in the hotel room right next to the lift (elevator), and it was quite loud, constantly dinging and could hear people coming up and down the lift and ridiculous times which meant we didn’t sleep well 1 or 2 nights.

The breakfast buffet was varied and presented promptly at 8:00. The staff were helpful and friendly, they offer a laundry service . We had a small problem with the plumbing in the bathroom, they offered a another room, we chose not to move and they fixed the problem puntually. The bargin two person room was quiet and had a very efficient controllable AC unit . The toilet had an integrated bidet function. The hotel is located in a street with limited night time traffic flow, so it is a quiet street . The street is a bit run down due to building works and construction repairs further along the street. Don't let the street put you off. The next main road leads directly to the Sirkeci escalator to the underground railway ( Marmaray ) and two blocks down the hill is the Sikeci tram stop on the T1 line. It is a great base to explore Istanbul. Buy a red rechargeable tram/ bus / ferry boat /U bahn pass card and explore Istanbul from this central location.

Nothing, no complaints at all. This bargin hotel exceeded our expections. It was super clean. They changed the bed sheets daily , replaced the towels, provided free drinking water and there was a fridge in the room. There was a TV but, as we dont speak Turkish, we didn't even turn it on. I have only genuine praise for the staff who work here.

Excellent location, 5 min walk from the closest metro station, 10min from blue Mosque/Sofia Haga and 15min from Grand bazzar. Well decorated rooms with clean bed/sheets. Breakfast buffet served with unlimited coffee and turkish tea served every morning at 8.30-1030 pm. The staff were very friendly and professional too. We really enjoyed our stay in Istanbul. This hotel is highly recommended for economic and budget conscious couples and families.
