centrally located in Bur Dubai opposite the Dubai museum, close to creek, gold and spices souk and shopping area. value for money

checking in needs improvement. need more experienced staff. This is priority as first point of contact for customer services

The Location was perfect for us as walking distance to shopping, food Joints and 10 minutes to the metro.

No Hot water to shower at Night

A nice and decent hotel in the old area of Dubai. I don't understand why this hotel has pretty bad review score. Although the hotel is a bit old but everything works fine, including the cleanliness. I like the room decoration with Arabic style. Nice "old Dubai view" with Dubai Museum and a minaret (I guess) from room window, especially early morning. A busy neighborhood vibe (which I like) and several nice restaurants nearby, including Arabic food. A walking distance to metro station. If I want to stay in this area of the city, I will definitely stay in this hotel again. The price worth the value.

The reception lady during the day is a bit arrogant and condescending. She's not so helpful and made arguments over small things as if to show how "clever" she is. She needs to have more training how to deal with customers. But this is just a small matter and doesn't affect my overall stay experience. Other than her, all staff are very kind and helpful.

front office staff’s need bit more training, I felt like that. elevator was very bad need to be maintained. my room was 416 it’s big but cleanliness was out of 10 i will rating 10/2 very poor!! shower screen was very dirty. there’s was no supervision , front office has no handover there’s no systematic because of I was checking out early morning GSA told me everything done but I have 100 DHS deposit , I have asked her then I gets back, I was wounded!! if there’s updated in the system it’s not happening. I think front office has no guidance as well!! FB staffs are top of it!!

Great hotel near the historic part of Dubai Al Fahidi (walkable). Loved my Arabic style room, and the view of the Dubai Museum opposite (got a good room). The gym was better in terms of equipment than the average hotel gym. I didn't try the spa but apparently there was one. The Sherlock pub had good Indian food. Great laundry service with it coming straight back to the room.

The only negative during the time I stayed was that common areas of the hotel smelled very strongly of paint. I'd assue that was a temporary thing during some painting, but in future they should ensure adequate ventilation.

Room comfortable, breakfast plenty to choose from. Location, never been too that part of Dubai, two metro near by which helped me move around. Reception staff helpful.

The safe in the room did not work. Reported the broken safe to reception. First time they stated that whilst I was out it would be repaired. Second time I reported it the maintenance person came to my room, stated it needed a new battery, went away with the intention of coming back within 5 minutes, waited 30 minutes then left for dinner. Third time I reported the same problem, the maintenance came with a new safe, too late leaving the next day. The policy stated that customers should use the safe as it was not their responsibility if valuables went missing. What would have happened if valuables were stolen.

Pool water temperature was perfect. One could just slip into the water. Staff that help at the door to ensure you have your luggage etc. Location is great, near Dubai Creek and tourist heritage village.

I found the electrical system.in the room confusing. Either everything had to be off or on. I could not get it so that only one bedside lamp was on. One of the ceiling lights was on all the time, even when I just wanted to watch TV without any lights on. The lift system was a bit strange but provided amusement more than anything else (doors may not open, 9r lift may not stop at desired floor). It was all part of the character.

Everything was excellent. All the staff, reception, house cleaning, door man, everybody was very helpful and made sure everything we requested was fulfilled. 5 star for James from house cleaning 5 star for reception team 5 star for Musa, Ismail and Simon.

Cleanliness/ Staff support from specially person from Bangladesh who repaired my room control panel. Might be he is khaliz if I'm not wrong.

Hotel should be more flexible in some areas to see the Geniueity of the customer. Like time to check out n giving services better to customer.. In the morning breakfast need to more follow up to the customers what they in need... Services in the room should be more faster... Lift should be repaired

Very centrally located in Meena bazaar. rooms are large and very comfortable. some rooms have had a makeover while others need one. It’s a very old hotel which needs updating. Breakfast is delicious with a lot of variety. There is a swimming pool but the sauna and steam room are extra. Staff are very friendly with the exception of a few. My husband had a very bad incident with one. Deira is a short ride from the hotel via the abbra from the creek.
