After being greeted by a very charming and professional bellhop, an efficient reception was able to check us in more than one hour early. The administrative process complete, we were escorted to a clean, spacious room with all the accessories one might need for an extended stay.

Nagish, one of the owners, took the time to personally welcome us and provided some background on the hotel. 

The Skylark has undergone many cosmetic improvements, over the last year, featuring quality and modern materials, providing a luxury feel at an otherwise, smaller and independent location.

Improvements are still being made (plumbing/details) but so many alternative attributes make this a great place to stay.

Very clean rooms, competitive rates and an excellent location featuring a two minute walk to the metro make this the perfect place to stay while exploring the UAE. The rooftop pool/patio is very clean, monitored and to our surprise, truly afforded guests some of the best (180°) views of fireworks in all the city on New Year’s Eve. Book now, for next year! The in-house restaurant Zoya’s, featured a varied menu for many tastes and their breakfast was excellent. During these challenging times, the staff was consistent in their application of covid preventive policies, despite being challenged by many of their Eastern European guests. Otherwise, we felt secure at the hotel.

An incident of overt theft occurred during this stay. This occurred when my husband and I mistakenly assumed the other would collect an item neatly laid out on a pillow upon our departure. We assume full responsibility for leaving the item. However, I was hoping individual integrity might win out. Sadly, it did not and I’ve since explained to my four year old, someone else needed her pajamas more than she did.

While jaded, the actions of this individual(s) do not influence my overall impression of the stay.

The location was perfect for me and with the Metro directly across the road, I rarely needed to take a cab and get stuck in traffic! The apartment size was spacious with a lounge, kitchen, bedroom and 2 bathrooms so even better than if I had booked an expensive hotel suite. It had a home away from home feel to it so will suit that type of travel experience. The rooms were cleaned daily by an excellent housekeeping team. A very positive experience and will certainly book here again when I visit Dubai.

It would be useful if a couple of basic dish washing facilities were provided to wash up the cups etc kindly provided in the apartment.

Excellent location: between the marina and the center, metro stop in front of the hotel, also a bus stop to the beaches. A 24-hour supermarket is 100 meters away, and the Emirates Mall is a 15-minute walk. Despite the fact that the hotel is not new, everything is in good condition and fully corresponds to the description. The staff is friendly and ready to help at any time. On the roof there is a small pool with fresh water, if you are too lazy to go anywhere. There is a travel agent in the lobby, but in Dubai it is easier and cheaper to do it yourself. Didn't eat, so it's hard to rate. In general, this is an excellent and comfortable option for a stay for a few days if you are looking for an apartment at an adequate price.

The kitchen could have had more cutlery and utensils (only for 2 people) and a dull knife). In general, the staff quickly provides everything that is missing.

Perfect location, it's directly opposite metro station. The stuff is friendly and helpful, thank you Melissa and your colleague for a great check-in experience. The food at the restaurant was very tasty, and the restaurant staff is very friendly 👌. I loved the rooftop swimming pool too

SThe room was not cleaned on the 2nd day of our stay, we returned from our sightseeing late in the evening to a dirty room, they only came to clean just before 7PM and we were already tired to have a housekeeping service at that time.

The location is perfect it is infront to al mashreq station. Accomodating. Approachable staffs and bell boys..

a little downside from housekeeping. Staffs cleaning the room need more initiative. We have encountered twice that if u will not ask the staff will not give stuffs needed in the room. Lile tissues. We spent 10 days in the hotel but the staff had no inititiatve to put a rolling tissue in the bathroom. Staff also not wearing gloves while. Cleaning the room. To protect himseld. Even cleaning the bathroom.. He just wipe. It and putting some spray or disinfectant. Not even wash it with water. Maybe the hotel. Will focus on their housekeeping otherwise the hotel locations and receptionist and bell boys were nice and approachable.

The location was excellent for me to independently get around Dubai using the efficient Metro system. Staying in the apartment had a home away from home vibe but you still have access to hotel amenities like housekeeping and gym/spa etc. This is a practical option for those who are visiting Dubai.

Overall the facilities in the apartment was sufficient for the price point.

Location is great its near metro stn and groceries.The room is also very spacious.

The room should have been ready at 2PM as that was the indicated check in time instead of having customer wait for an hour.

Spacious rooms with everything you need: washing machine, fridge, stove, lots of cupboards. Some rooms have two fully-equipped bathrooms, one of which is disabled-friendly (has all the necessary railings and an emergency cord). "Delux" rooms have balconies you can smoke at. Great location: just across the road of the metrso station, takes only 12 minutes to get to Mall of the Emirates. Great breakfast. They even make poached eggs! Easily reached by taxis. The AC works just as it should, although is more loud than you're used to.

Need to pay for water, but no markup compared to stores Some rooms are tidy but have stains here and there (on the curtains, carpet, lampshade...) Boring gym with little equipment. The AC is really loud but makes comfy air with no drafts. Stomped a roach on my way from check-in. Can have guests only at 10am-10pm

The fact that I've got an upgrade :)

Very noisy during the night because of the highway which is just in front of the hotel :) and, it took too long to finish the booking at the desk :)
