The room was outstanding, spacious and very comfortable. Great to be able to open windows. Super comfortable bed. Ensuite was very well equipped. The cleaning in the room and the public areas was on another level, thorough and great attention to detail. Complimentary tea/coffee/biscuits replenished daily..staff very responsive and helpful at all times.
I might add a couple of less hearty options to the otherwise excellent breakfast menu. Although it must be said there seemed to be no problem with flexibility on the menu. Maybe cereal or pastry for this not up to or those needing to take a day off from the full Scottish, eggs Benedict, pancakes etc.

Liked the ambience of the hotel. Weekend we stayed there was very warm and sunny. Both the garden, lounge and dining room were extremely busy but well serviced by staff who were efficient and pleasant. Nothing was a bother for them, Food excellent,
The noise from the air conditioning unit (outside the bedroom window) kept us awake for most of the night. Not so good. A door just outside the bedroom caused a bit of upset as other guests had to use it to get to and from their bedrooms. Can.t really blame them but perhaps the door could be repositioned at some time in the future.

Room had been refurbished to a high standard. Bed a good size. TV good size. Breakfast nice. Staff all friendly. Nice big shower.
Unfortunately there was a bad smell in the bathroom which spoiled the stay a bit. We were offered a change of room but as we had already unpacked and the only other room had a faulty bathroom light we decided to stay put. We asked for an air freshener which we got and this helped. It may have been that the room wasn't used often enough giving the drain time to clear?

Room was bright & contemporary with large ensuite with huge shower (with rain and hose attachments). Bed was massive and super comfy. Big TV with normal channels. Dinner in the busy bar was lovely…posh dining. A little more expensive than normal pub grub, but the menu and food are 5 star restaurant quality. Beef olives were unctuous. Breakfast was table service (not buffet) with a wide range on offer, inc eggs Benedict & florentine. All staff encountered had big smiles and were helpful. Thank you.
Minor maintenance issues (room 5): the shower door has dropped a bit trapping me in it! Lifting the door released. There’s a bulb out in the ensuite and mirror light doesn’t work. Not sure the bedside reading lights on stalks worked because we couldn’t find a way to turn them on. None of this spoiled our stay in the lovely room.

I booked a single room thinking I might be taking a bit of a risk but in fact it was a large long attic room with an amazing view of Aberdeen. The bathroom was lovely. The bed was in fact double but pushed against the wall. It was quirky and beautifully decorated. Great value for money.
There was a large selection of cooked breakfast items but no continental options. No cereals, toast, jam etc or fruit were offered. They did offer porridge and pancakes. there was no mirror in the bedroom which made drying hair difficult.

Beautiful building, lovely room, great parking. excellent location. Playpark in grounds was a small bonus.
I had checked there was room for travel cot as we had a baby with us, the reply said what room I’d be in and confirmed yes but didn’t mention there wasn’t a lift and up steep stairs (we had a toddler and I’m 6 months pregnant). The bar/restaurant was lovely, really comfortable and clean, but the breakfast took an hour. We had to ask a fee times for things, a drinks order wasn’t taken and I was given tea when asked for coffee. Shame as we feel this let it down from being an excellent stay.

I would like to say we had a wonderful stay and could not recommend a stay at Ferryhill House Hotel enough, the service was excellent even though you were very busy with lots of Christmas events. The room was beautiful and everything to a very high standard. We also had dinner and the food was superb. Thank you to all your staff who were very helpful. we stayed at the hotel as we were attending a concert in Aberdeen at the music hall and the location is very good, just a short walk and you are in the city centre and you can park your car at the hotel easily. we had a brilliant stay.

The room was nice and spacious. However, located at the loft with no elevator
Breakfast over the weekend started only at 08.00, which is not great when you book a work related stay. I asked if I could get breakfast served earlier and I was told no; then the morning of my checkout some other residents were having breakfast at 07.30! When I questioned the receptionist he apologized and promised he would feed this back to the hotel management, as it could be possible to get breakfast earlier.

Breakfast was excellent, staff attentive and friendly, great location. Nice touches bottled water, tea and coffee with shortbread daily.
As a couple staying for a week there was only one chair in the room, we enjoy a game of scrabble so would have been nice to have 2 chairs to sit at the table. The tv would loss signal when you walked in room which we mentioned at checkout. It would have been good to have a choice of breakfast cereals as a full week of cooked breakfast can get a bit heavy. Apart from that we had a lovely stay and would definitely stay again.

Great location - 10 minutes walk to Union St. Friendly and helpful staff, all polite and keen to make our stay comfortable. We didn't eat here in the evening, but what we saw coming from the kitchen smelled great and looked appetising. Breakfast was freshly cooked and tasted superb; time must have been taken to choose the ingredients.
The bar is an overspill to the busy restaurant so young children are allowed to use the area, not something I fully appreciate - I personally think a bar is an adult area. Nothing else negative.
