I booked a room in this hotel for my 74 years old mother during her family visit to Aberdeen, so safety, quietness and comfort were very important. And the hotel lived up to my expectations. The staff were very helpful to my mother, who barely speaks English. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was big enough and comfortable. It was cleaned every day and there was always tea, coffee and biscuits. Despite the large pub downstairs, the room was always quiet. My mother will now only stay there when she visits Aberdeen.

Everything was excellent

The room was clean and tidy and nice and warm . Loved the mattress and pillows it was better for my back ,as I have a sore back . The breakfast was lovely loved my scrambled eggs with my toast . Complements to the chef,as I had my dinner there on Friday when I arrived it was beautiful. Very busy bar and hotel on a weekend but it wasn't noisy when I was upstairs in my room so I was fine . The staff was friendly and nothing was too much . Breakfast staff was lovely and kind and very polite . Great hotel and a lovely location away from the city centre .

My husband and I were in Aberdeen for a reunion and chose to stay at the Dutch Mill. Our room was very comfortable. The hotel offers a great choice of breakfasts, freshly made. On the day we checked out we had to leave before breakfast officially started. Tony, the manager, made sure we had a cup of coffee and something to eat before we set off. The bar is a great place to meet up with friends for a drink. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights and felt very much at home.

Was a last minute booking and reasonably priced. Went for the breakfast option in the morning which was lovely and well worth the extra!! Beds comfy and was a nice and peaceful nights sleep. We were going to a concert on Union Square so a taxi was organised for us by reception, which we greatly appreciated.

The one thing I would like to mention is the decor. I have visited The Dutch Mill many times through the years, but mainly in the restaurant only rather than staying. I found the bedrooms surprisingly dated. Considering the location of the hotel and the top hotels that surround it, I felt like the decor did not match the competition. Which is a shame.

The breakfast was really good, lots of choice and good quality, service was great and nothing appeared to be any trouble, the location is also ideal if you don’t mind a walk into the main shopping street, but it’s a flat walk no hills

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like. The only comment I have is the room door was quite hard to open and you needed two hands to do it which is fine if you don’t have dexterity issues. Also a couple of time thought I was going to be stuck in bathroom as that door was hard to open (room 8) again could just be dexterity issues.

Hotel was smaller than expected with only about 10-12 rooms. First impression on entrance/check-in seemed a bit cheep with stained carpeting on the stairs. Both rooms were however very decent, clean and nicely equipped. Breakfast was served "to order" so no buffet but quite satisfactory.

We slept with the windows open at the front of the hotel and there was a large roofed terrace in front of the building so that was a bit noisy until closing time. Also the ventilation from the kitchen could be smelled

Every aspect of the hotel was perfect, well appointed and very well thought out. In nice neighbourhood, bus stop right out front. Parking lot is small but there is parking on the street from 6pm-8am. The pub attached is patronized by locals stopping by for a bite or beer. Fabulous covered patios area out front with many screens from where we were able to watch a couple of sporting events. Felt very very comfortable and loved cheering along with the crowd. Breakfast was delicious and you had a quite a few choices. We did not hear the pub one bit in the evening but the heavily carpeted floors would help. Spotless clean, the people working actually seemed to enjoy their job there. Housekeeping were kind, cheerful and very willing to help in anyway. The bathroom was roomy spotless clean

The alley to parking lot is quite slim, what I disliked the most of all leaving!

Lovely big building, our room was at the top overlooking Aberdeen . Loved the little extra touches hot chocolate as well as tea coffee and posh biscuits , toiletries, pen and paper. Free WiFi. Had a lovely pub with restaurant and amazing food (jacket potatoe with sooo many prawns ) . Breakfast in a lovely little side section was also really good.service from everyone was excellent and so friendly. Restaurant was full in evening they were extremely busy as Halloween and rugby on but squeezed us and our daughter we were visiting in .

Car park extremely tight to get in and out but a bonus to have one . Our bedroom door (no 8) has a gap all the way round that let in light and noise from other residents going in and out. It did lock securely though . But not massive issue

This hotel is superb ! Room is clean, spacious and classy. The location is 30min walk from train station but worth it. The restaurant is good and the breakfast is outstanding. Finally, the neighbourhood is quiet and beautiful. Definitely recommend this hotel and no doubt I will go back there for another in Aberdeen.

The bar is just downstairs the rooms and it can be a little bit noisy in the evening (recommend to have some earplugs in case).

The staff were excellent, very friendly, and couldn't be more gracious. We actually had the wrong date booked (my fault, I was trying to be organised) and when we showed up a day early they did their best to be helpful. Certainly made a stressful situation much less stressful! The room was beautiful, beds comfortable, and the food was excellent.

The parking on site is abysmal. If you're at all nervous in small parking spaces then it isn't for you; however the people at the hotel were great about presenting alternative parking areas and it wasn't a big deal. Definitely worth asking for that information ahead of time though!
