The hotel room was very clean and newly decorated with nice finishing touches. The bathroom was very nice and everything worked well, nothing was tired. The bed was very comfortable too and we slept well. Also the air conditioning worked really well and seemed new. The food was excellent for breakfast and dinner. Lots of choice and very good service. We usually find something that is not up to scratch but I have to say this was not the case here. The housekeeping was also very good. We will definitely recommend and revisit.

The room could have been a little bit bigger, but we are splitting hairs!

We appreciated the little touches. When we arrived in the late evening the lights were dimmed and the little radio on the nightstand was playing classical music. There was a handwritten note from the staff welcoming us. The room was very clean and tidy and they provided a cute coffee bar for the morning with local coffee and a range of fresh milk upon request. It was a warm welcome and a lovely stay overall .

A very comfortable room. Dinner was excellent, especially the salmon pasta and the very tasty free nibbles to start (a beautiful brocoli quiche). The staff were always extremely helpful and friendly.

Portions at the restaurant could have been 10% smaller. In these environmentally-conscious times it was sad to see food at neighbouring tables being returned as portions were too large.£5 is a bit too expensive for a cup of coffee!

The bathroom looked new and was delighted with the super clean space. Shower was great. Caffetiere coffee very tasty and a pleasant surprise. Dinner and breakfast were another level up. Food was excellent and service impeccable. The little touches make the difference

Of course with all this wonderful service you do have to pay a bit more but when it’s this good you do not mind Hard to think of any negatives

Lovely hotel, very clean and cosy. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the facilities are excellent.

Not a lot to be honest because everything was so nice but the rooms at the front could probably do with some sound proofing as the street gets very noisy on a Saturday night. Though I am a light sleeper and it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would.

Staff were always friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable with good AC and well appointed. Food was of a high standard. Location is very central and an easy walk from the station and restaurants.

Breakfast was "table service only" which was a bit limiting. Price is fairly steep however there aren't many good accommodation options in Abergavveny.

It was very stylish and there were some lovely individual touches like fresh flowers in the room, classical music was playing in the room on arrival Food in the restaurant was exceptional

There was a central heating/water noise throughout the night which made it difficult to sleep

period building beautifully presented. the staff were welcoming and all incredibly helpful and attentive. central location in the town. an extremely high standard in a comfortable atmosphere. delightful. will return.

Great breakfast with plenty of choice, and swift service. Great ambience in the evening would have liked to try the food but didn’t get the chance. Loved your natural flower arrangements. Very comfortable bed and bed linen.

Very comfortable, staff were excellent, as was the service. very clean and comfortable care was taken to make sure we had all that we needed.

A few steps. getting to the car park seemed a bit complicated as the road along side the hotel was closed.
