The location is excellent with ample parking behind (although through a short narrow entrance). The Inn is comfortable and welcoming and the staff are hard working, friendly and helpful. Restaurant and bar prices are reasonable and the food was very good. We would definitely stay again.
Although the room was comfortable and the en-suite sizeable it suffered from the lack of a hook to hang the shower over the bath. The headroom was also very low and the position of the television made it almost impossible to watch when lying in bed. These are fairly minor issues however as we very much enjoyed our stay.

The private parking was good though the entrance to it is narrow and some may find it a challenge. The garden at the rear is wonderful, much bigger and beautiful than you would think from the road and has lots of tables and chairs for use in summer. We had a meal with 12 friends and everyone's food was served at the same time and everyone thought it was excellent. We were sat for our meal in a more private (though still shared) dining room, apart from the main dining room and this arrangement worked well for us. Our bedroom was in the annex at the back of the hotel and the room was spacious and the ensuite bathroom was large and everything worked as it should. The breakfast was excellent.
The check-in was a little clumsy as there is no dedicated check-in desk - we had to check in at the bar and we had to wait our turn to be 'served'. This is a minor thing and only inconvenienced us slightly as the bar at the time was very busy. 15 minutes later there was no queue at all.

Very nice hotel. Very good restaurant as well. Stayed here for 2 nights and had dinner 2 times. Breakfast is also very good. Had the suite for 5 persons which was clean, cozy and modern. Not much to complain about! Very friendly staff as well. Would definitely come back here!
Parking was really hard to find and extremely narrow. Glad I don’t have a very wide car but definitely a challenge to get there. The suite had one bathroom and toilet, would be better if it had another one. The extra bedroom could easily be split in half for a small bathroom. Just an idea..

Well equipped and spacious family room with lovely little veranda looking onto the beer garden and mountain. Maybe request a quiet room if you want a super peaceful evening in the Summer but it didn't bother us at all. We had everything we needed in the room to prepare for a family wedding nearby. Staff were very helpful and approachable. We loved staying here. The local area is really beautiful.
Cooked breakfast portions really varied on the two days we were there. Larger portions would be lovely.

Perfect location in Crickhowell and easy access to surrounding areas. Very clean and restaurant/bar/garden all well kept with a lovely atmosphere.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get much sleep. The bed appeared to be a 3/4 or small double. The windows and blind didn’t seal very well so it was quite noisy and bright. There was also a very loud humming sound which I assumed came from the heating or water system.

Excellent, well presented and delicious breakfast choices, helpful and friendly staff, comfortable quiet room with good heating and nice ensuite with excellent bathing facilities, comfortable beds, good selection of teas coffee and biscuits in the room, excellent central position in the town for shopping on foot. Good selection of local beers in the bar and comprehensive menu for evening meal in restaurant.
Steep stairs to rooms were tricky for some members of our party with disabilities. The long and narrow entrance to the car park is hard to navigate in a car, especially at night. It's sloping uneven surface can also be a hazard for pedestrians who want to avoid using alternative steps through to hotel entrance.

We were on the top floor. Beautiful old building with all the quirks you’d expect. Beams, creaky floorboards,(covered in carpet but you know they are there) - all lovely. Great views from the window. The room was well decorated and spotlessly clean. All the staff were friendly. USB points in the bedside lamps and also an alarm clock were lovely touches. Excellent selection of hot drinks in the bedroom. We ate in the pub in the evening and the food was absolutely fabulous. Melt in the mouth Venison. We also had a raspberry and gin cheesecake, and a raspberry crumble. Delicious. Good selection of drinks in the bar. The Welsh cooked breakfasts were incredible. I could compliment the breakfasts all day long.
Not so much a ‘didn’t like’ just a slight hindrance - is that the tv is tiny. Given the room dimensions this is understandable but makes for difficult viewing from the bed. Just a tiny negative.

A breathtaking warm welcome reception from Dragon Inn staff.. This cosy feel inn with sold out restaurant cover, in a quaint sleepy village hides more than it shows from the front. Spacious room with all the mod cons. Plenty of natural light into the room, with balcony opening into one of the two tiered gardens. Quiet night's sleep. On entry, plenty of extra pillows towels if required. Free parking at rear (entry through a narrow walkway). Free WiFi. Breakfast is cold self service cereals/fruit/yoghurt and a simple menu of hots that can be ordered. Tea/coffee is complimentary help yourself. The bar area has sport on TV and fully stocked beverage options like any well equipped pub. All very nice and lends itself to a perfect village feel to the stay, lovely views of the Welsh hills, and a great base to explore further with a bounty of pubs restaurants and shops within walking distance.....or Brecon if feeling a bit more adventurous! Ideal, thanks so much!
It's in Wales! (JOKE!)

Room was lovely.Spacious, spotlessly clean, cool on a very hot day, comfortable beds, good sized bathroom with everything you needed.Spacious wardrobe with iron and ironing board.
I didn't like having g a very small cup at breakfast.I had to put a tea bag in it and take it to a hot water urn to fill .Surely tea pots could have been provided. Some fresh fruit would have been nice as I,and many people,do not eat flavoured yogurts or packet cereals.

This is a very nice historic inn in a pretty town. Huge beer garden at the back which is perfect for sitting in the evening sunshine and admiring the surrounding scenery The room was spacious, with an extremely comfortable bed. Having the extra bedroom was great for my son to sleep in, like having your own little apartment. The breakfast was delicious also.
