Everything very clean and bed v comfy. Good shower. Staff very friendly, gave me a recommendation for breakfast as not served in pub (which I did know). Guests welcome to use the coffee machine for breakfast though. I was directly above the pub seating out on the road and was expecting some noise on a Friday night but not excessive. Staff very apologetic about the fire alarm which went off in the middle of the night. Excellent location for a trail race the following morning and would stay again
The carpark behind the pub is small and a bit tight. I was a bit worried about getting blocked in as I was leaving v early. It would also have been a challenge to get a v big car in there as it was already full.

Easy to find, great location for Brecons. Really friendly people on arrival. Nice touches in a very clean room. Great food and service. It’s done well.
The noise from the pub itself was not a problem at all - it’s clear in the description that it is there but it’s muffled and stops about 11. Unfortunately we could hear the television in the neighbouring room until well past 2am. Not really the pubs fault but our sleep was very disturbed. Shower was awkward to use as the door was broken and water temp tricky, sensor light leaves you in the dark with shower door closed

What a delightful pub with rooms! The staff are great, friendly and efficient, nothing appearing to be too much trouble. I checked into room 2, which was lovely and comfortable, very clean, and ideal for my 2 night stay. The TV caused me great amusement, as it mysteriously switches itself on, in the wee small hours, so my suggestion is to switch it off at the plug socket! As I was visiting family, who live close by, we opted to dine in on Saturday evening. Oh my word, the dishes were delicious!! I chose the Coconut & Prawn curry served in half a pineapple, as did my sister, with my brother in law choosing the Beef Rib! The dishes have a Jamaican twist to them, using Welsh ingredients, I can't praise the dishes enough. Breakfast is continental, with lots to choose from. Fresh fruits, yoghurts, cereals, pastry items, bread to toast, crumpets, Welsh cakes, cheeses, hams, as well loads of hot beverage choices. A hot bacon roll is also available, which I can verify, was great. I will definitely stay again!
Loved everything about The Horseshoe

Great location near to Crickhowell and Brecon Beacons. Cath (barmaid) met us on arrival, super friendly and dealt with any query we had. Rooms are clean and smart; all the usual facilities. Good selection of drinks; and the food was AMAZING! The JamWelsh menu and specials are superb. Quality ingredients and well prepared. Worthy of popping in just for the food. The pub was busy on the Friday night; so book a table, but regardless as Guests they managed to find us a table.
Breakfast is continental style; and there is plenty to choose from. However if you’re looking for a cooked breakfast - try any of the local cafes nearby.

The location was excellent. We had just finished a narrow boat holiday with Beacon Park Boats which is just a bit away. We also took day trips to the Big Pit Mine and to Stonehenge from The Horse Shoe Inn. Their restaurant/chef was wonderful! The pub was GRAND. The locals filled the place every night with their pups. The staff was lovely.
We like a bit firmer mattress, but otherwise nothing to complain about.

We had a warm welcome into a pub full of character, and lead upstairs to a very modern, fresh room with ensuite. We had our meal in the pub downstairs which was pleasantly lively, with dogs allowed. A great choice of English classics and Jamaican streetfood. I was very happy with my sausage and mash, and my husband was equalky happy with his goat curry. A lovely breakfast-a good fruit salad selection, bacon and sausages, cereals, yogurts, pastries. My 11 year old daughter was very happy with the well equipped children's playground (zip-wire included) on the field opposite.
(Norhing...very pleased with everything)

All staff were fun and friendly. The continental breakfast gave a descent selection. The evening meal was good pub grub. We booked a family room as we were travelling with our daughter (26 years old) and so were thrilled at the spacious room, we actually had the main bedroom with a double and single plus another small room with a single attached! It gave my daughter her own space. Incredible value for money and will return.
Small busy car park, however we were able to park in the road opposite the Inn.

Room and bathroom were very clean. Friendly staff. A pity they couldn’t serve breakfast at the moment, but in the evening delicious Jamaican food and also fish and chips in the cosy restaurant. Charming village of Crickhowell is 20 minutes by foot. An easy walk along the canal in both directions is lovely.
The traffic noise early in the morning.

Excellent breakfast catering for my vegetarian needs and allergies. Comfortable bed and clean room.
A slight criticism is that the rooms should have had air conditioning facilities, but did not, and I also noticed there was no television in the room (sorry, I forgot to mention this during my stay). Sue explained that there was a valid reason why air conditioning was not possible because of the building being listed and the installation of air conditioning would affect its listed status. The room fan was good though.

Good stopover location for our onward trip. Good sized twin room, attractively decorated. Easy walk into Crickhowell. Good parking. Staff very friendly & helpful. Lovely breakfast & evening meal.
Shower cubicle & shower room itself was very small. No grip rail in shower to ease manoeuvres. Although it was suggested there would be noise from the pub below, it was infact the traffic that was very noisy. Steep stair climb from the car park & from the pub.
