Room fantastic once issues had been sorted , food fantastic , 99% of staff fantastic
Only down side was an arrogant member of staff who checked me in , he try to tell me the large family room I had booked was the same size as the standard double room I was given , I did ask him if that was the case how come the family room was £70 more expensive .all he could do was to keep prattling on about the pictures on the website were generic . Medium sized male with greying hair a stubble he needs to learn from the rest of the staff who were all fantastic , and I believe this reception man was in a senior position ! He needs to learn about customer relations and how to be gracious .

Really lovely boutique hotel with outstanding restaurant. Food was amazingly delicious and service attentive, quick and excellent. Room was very spacious and great comfy beds thankfully giving us a wonderful night's sleep as we were exhausted after a heavy day of travelling. Bathroom was great, it was huge and clean and wifi reception was good. Would definitely stay again and going back when down south again for a birthday meal.
Not necessarily what I didn't like as these are personal preferences but what would have improved it for us. After the superb meal in the restaurant the day before slightly disappointed with the breakfast offering. No cereals, fruit or yoghurt as you would normally get albeit the breakfast we did have of scrambled eggs on sourdough was delicious. Would have preferred proper soap in the bathroom rather that liquid soap. Lighting in bedroom slightly dim but just personal choice.

Location was great but we knew what to expect as previously lived in the village and was back on a visit, our room was nicely decorated and the bed was really comfy and clean
Our room was real dark as no windows, we were hot all night, despite turning off the radiator, there was too many doors that led to our room. Our family room, adjoining room had absolutely terribly creaky floorboards wherever you stood, there was no bottled water in the rooms, The breakfast was nice but no cereal or toast or pastries available to help yourself, and no cappuccino or decent coffees, hot water to make tea at breakfast was help yourself and tasted nasty and metalic

The room was very spacious with a huge bathroom and comfy bed. The bedroom area is locked, openable with a fob, so the pub guests can't get to them. I ate in the restaurant downstairs for both nights of my stay and staff were very friendly and the food was absolutely perfect. Breakfast was great with a good selection and perfectly cooked with friendly staff
There was a bit of noise outside my door as it was right near the entrance to the corridor with some rooms, but nothing major at all. The lighting wasn't great in the main room for doing makeup but the lighting in the bathroom was ok

Everything about this hotel was perfect for a loan business traveller, except for the location. Whilst I was only 5 miles from my place of work, the traffic through town was so congested and slow that it took me 40 minutes to travel the short distance required.
Only the location relative to my work destination. Required me to navigate a congested town centre and took 30 minutes longer than anticipated to travel 5 miles. Not the hotel's fault, obviously.

Lovely country style pub but done in a fashionable and up to date way. Really friendly and very helpful staff. Room had beautiful doors that led out into the garden, and we were also shown an entrance that was quicker and avoided walking through the restaurant. Very accommodating for our 6 month old.
Initially upon check in there was some confusion regarding room allocation. I had booked and paid for a family room but it appeared that this had possibly been allocated incorrectly, and we were given another room. However this was a standard double room and actually contained another guests’s luggage when we were shown in. I did query the price difference, but was reassured they’re all the same price despite some differences noted on booking.com. Staff were very helpful and friendly still. Again some confusion the following morning regarding the room was communicated to us, it seems the system did not reflect accurate room allocation.

A beautiful old Inn sympathetically modernised to offer a long bar and wooden panelled dining rooms. A stylish decor enhances the traditional features. My bedroom was in the old part of the building and was spacious with a smart modern shower room also a good size. The room simply furnished and the large double bed was very comfortable. Outside there is a good-size garden with plenty of seating. There are two car parks which provides off-street parking for customers. All of the staff were friendly and made me feel welcome and served me efficiently making sure that my needs were met. I had breakfast at the property. The menu offered a good variety. My breakfast was tasty and filling. I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely visit again.
Everything was good and met with or surpassed my expectations

Very friendly staff, and obviously a good place to work as the ones we particularly spoke to had been working there for some considerable time. Great to hear in these difficult times for the hospitality sector. Location close to many places of interest. We ate in the restaurant every evening. A very high standard.
Nothing!

Really warm welcome and the staff went above and beyond to find us a table to eat even though it was a Friday night and we'd not booked a table. The bar and restaurant had a great atmosphere - lively but not crowded. Good selection of wine and knowledgeable bar person to steer us through them Delicious evening meal, delicious breakfast. Spacious, quiet, attractive, and comfortable room - great night's sleep. A real gem. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Gorgeous hotel. Staff very friendly and eager to help on the whole. Lovely decor throughout the property. Ample space in the bedroom with very large ensuite bathroom. Free parking available and close to the event I was attending. Although I didn't get to make use of it, the late check out is a great thing.
Would've liked to see bottled water in the room- even just a small bottle or 2. Breakfast menu was a little underwhelming especially when you have special dietary requirements.
