Room clean and plenty of space. Staff friendly and helpful, Location was great and ideal for visiting the Air show. Plenty of outdoor space.

I realise they were very busy because of the air show and apparently has recently had new owners but, food for dinner was a little hit and miss. It was either brilliant or not so and whilst staff made an effort to make amends, which we didn't avail ourselves of, when it went wrong it is something that the hotel really need to sort out. Walk up second flight of steep stairs was quite a work out but I think there isn't much that can be done about that.

Location close to sea front and town centre was ideal. Friendly staff made our stay very pleasant. Though booked in for bed and breakfast the food was excellent and there was enough choice that we ate dinner in the hotel every night. The hotel was in the process of changing its menu during our stay and the new menu was financially a better deal. Fine weather meant we could make use of the secluded garden at the back of the hotel.

The room, though spacious, had a small window with a terrible view looking out over storage containers. Couldn’t open bathroom windows and pipes rumbled when toilet was flushed. A door banging closed nearby was an irritant at times.

The location was in walking distance to the beach. Nice Garden & play area for kids in the back of hotel. Not far from central Ayr. Approx 6 miles. Quiet from the busy streets. Beds were super comfortable. Room overall cleaned with street view. Had a great sleep!! Kettle, coffee and tea available. I got breakfast with accommodation. All food was absolutely delicious!!! Staff went out of there way to make your stay wonderful. 80/90tys live music entertainment was supreme. Enjoyable night!! A big shout out to Jordan!!! Hard working guy who made our stay enjoyable. Was very generous to assist with luggage up the 2 flight of stairs. Thank you so much!!! We were also early upon arrival for hotel. They allowed us to store our luggage on site & return to check in. Will return to this hotel again. 🙂

The only downside to the hotel was there's no lift. However we did not mind as much as we enjoyed our stay overall.

The staff on reception were delightful! In fact all staff worked quietly & courteously. The menu was amazing! Great chef ! The variety & quality of the food was excellent! I hosted a small dinner for friends on the Friday evening & all commented on the standard of the food , beautiful & plentiful! Lovely service! I ate at another hotel on the Saturday..our school reunion was held there..The Alloway Brig o Doon Hotel, The Savoy Park Hotel cuisine was much superior & more reasonably priced!

As a listed building , the lack of a lift to the higher floors, cannot be installed. I would employ a bell-boy/ porter to assist guests with luggage. I am 78 & would have been so appreciative of some help lugging up my stuff to room 15!! That said I'm sure any member of staff who would have been available, would have lent a hand. When we arrived the car park was full & a big event was being held..so all hands were busy. Employ a porter !

Warm, cosy hotel with an excellent roomy bedroom and large bathroom. Evening meal very tasty and good service. Excellent breakfast with extras on request. Car parking free and spacious and town centre and beach only a short distance away.

Limited for space in dining/breakfast area, but a small table set with breakfast buffet offering fruit juice, butter, jams, etc would be an advantage. Waitress will bring on request, but not obvious as not offered on breakfast menu. Evening meal menu quite limited, but food well prepared and presented. Change of Chef resulted in breakfast orders being supplied, but differing from that stated on menu.

Friendly and quick check in. Room was a great size and very comfortable. Hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities available. The decor of the hotel is definitely in keeping with the style of the building with lovely old oak panelling throughout. Can't comment on the evening dining options as we are out but breakfast was great with a good variety of options and no problem when I wanted to make a few changes to the menu options! Staff all friendly and efficient. It is also only a 10 min walk into town where there are lots of eating out options.

In keeping with the property there is no lift however when you have been allocated a room up in the roof it is quite difficult to carry your luggage up( and down)the final very narrow staircase. So if mobility is an issue or you have a large suitcase as I did ensure you request a room on a lower floor before you go!!

The hotel was easy to find and is within walking distance of the town centre. There is onsite free parking. The building was undergoing some refurbishment outside. We had an issue with the allocated room (skylight had a number of wasps/bees flying around). Staff changed us to another (I believe upgraded) room unprompted - good service. Breakfast is not buffet, but waiter served.

Did not see an elevator/lift ( to be fair here, we did not have much luggage and did not ask about elevator/lift). Lots of stairs to clime if your room is top of the house.

Lovely spacious room. Not the most modern but very comfortable, traditional decor. The bed was very comfortable (if a little high!) good shower. We stayed for my husbands 50th birthday and the hotel had left champagne, beer and chocolates in the room along with a card. Lovely touch! The breakfast in the morning was superb.

Dogs in the restaurant. My husband is allergic and have to say I'm not a fan either. A dog was sitting next to us at breakfast waiting for us to feed him. Then had to listen to the dog slurping his food and water. Bit off putting. My suggestion would be dog free section of the restaurant?

When I booked tables for a meal that happened to involve my wedding guests, I had no idea you would go to such efforts to make everything special. All staff were so attentive, reassuring and welcoming. Throughout the whole stay, nothing was too much trouble, every single member of staff was a joy to encounter. My husband had fond and happy memories of staying at the hotel as a child, hence we came back for our wedding, but I think the hospitality went far beyond our dreams. We'll keep returning. The food was delicious and so much! No one went hungry.

Only downside to the room was not being able to have a shower. I loved the bath and really enjoyed it but on the wedding morning, it was much quicker to use a relatives shower to wash my hair.
