We loved the location and the walks on the estate. Staff was fabulous and made us feel welcome from the first minute. Food in the restaurant 1906, the bar and clubhouse were great. Breakfast was delicious, and you had a great choice. Thanks to the fabulous staff who provided us with an early bird coffee. It was also very nice to enjoy the room service after a long hike and just relax in the room. The room was spotless and spacious. We loved the huge bathroom and the design. We enjoyed our riding experience as family. We can certainly recommend it and will come back asap.

We’ve had the opportunity to stay at other Trump resorts and Turnberry is our favorite so far. The facilities and grounds are pristine. The room accommodations were oversized and luxurious. The breakfast in the main restaurant was exceptional and the views of the golf course were postcard beautiful. We booked the falconry experience but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was cancelled. However, we also booked the archery experience (both are on the resort grounds) and I can’t say enough how much fun we had. Kudos to every single staff person at Turnberry. You’ve made our stay truly memorable. We look forward to returning.

I couldn’t believe a Scottish Hotel and they didn’t serve IRN BRU. We ended up staying another night and although the food is delicious there wasn’t a great choice on our second nights dinner menu, I can’t eat red meat and I didn’t like what was on the menu. There was a man called Gordon who wore a kilt and was very good at speaking to all the guests and telling them all about the hotel and the area around it , vey attentive. The staff were all lovely.

The hotel was fabulous, with the central lobby, 1906 restaurant, and communal areas spotless and as we expect in a five-star hotel. The staff were incredibly courteous, polite, friendly yet professional. We dined at the 1096 restaurant, and the food was superb, and the waiting staff were attentive and knowledgeable.

The breakfast was a terrible disappointment and downright failure. There was no allergy information on the food set out on the buffet or pastries, and the staff did not know whether any of the food contained nuts. The hot food was in a buffet, had been left out under hot lamps, and was inedible. I expect hot breakfasts cooked to order when staying in five-star hotels. There had been an evacuation of the hotel guests during the middle of the night due to a fire alarm, and this may have had a knock-on consequence on the breakfast service.

The service from the hotel was very good and all the staff are helpful and polite. The hotels very clean and looks beautiful I will definitely be returning.

There was a mix up with the card machine not working in the restaurant which took over half an hour to let us know that it was broken. Hotel staff on the front desk were very helpful and sorted it out for us very quickly and offered us a bottle of wine which we were very thankful for.

Luxurious hotel, with an amazing room which was very comfortable. Loved the underground access to leisure facilities also & bar area.

Main course at the 1906 restaurant was not very nice. I had the turbort which was very dry & came with a slimy membrane on top which was not pleasant & I did not finish the meal. My wife & son did very much enjoy their full 3 courses. I mentioned this to waitress, who passed the comment on to the chef.

The check in process - despite us arriving an hour and half after the check in time, we were told the room was not ready, there was a key card shortage which meant we could only have one key card to the room, and the service at breakfast - particularly day one and two - when we and those around us had to remind waiting staff of tea, coffee and toast orders up to 30 mins after initially ordering… I’m still waiting on my toast from day two.

The cottages were not as well maintained as they should have been. It’s small things like faucets that are loose and toilet roll holders that are about to fall off. Not good enough for a 5 Star. The biggest issue we had was the bath/shower. The water constantly ran hot and cold. One evening we couldn’t bathe our baby there was no hot water. I reported the following morning to guest services and I was told there was no problem and that I had to run the tap for longer….wrong! I was so frustrated.

We were staying in a Villa and we ordered room service. As we had no table in our room we were told we could have access to the lounge in our building. But when the food arrived the lounge was locked! The member of staff was great but it took 30 mins to locate the key hence our food was cold. They did offer to re-heat it but we were so hungry we ate it cold! The Duty Manager called us and removed the food charge from our bill. That was the only hiccup the rest of the stay was superb

Meals were excellent. If what you wished for wasn't on menu all you had to do was ask. Staff were lovely. We had a small issue with bathroom sink and after we reported it the staff fixed it straight away. Brilliant service.

I didn't like the way some of the customers spoke to the staff, treated some like idiots. Although I must say the staff responded with professionalism at all times.
