The hosts were lovely & very helpful, spotless & clean, good decor. Restaurant & Bar area nice & modern. Breakfast was lovely, we had an evening meal 1 night, lovely traditional food, plenty of choice reasonably priced! Not far from Coniston, Windermere & Ambleside. Don't forget to go to the Beach, miles of sand, and it wasn't busy at all, especially being a BH weekend end of May! Head towards Walney Nature reserve over the bridge on to the island separated from mainland. A drive towards Roa Island along the coast is worth a trip, and don't forget the best ice cream, 2 fishermen told us about along our walk on the beach 'Tony's Ice cream' 30 flavours. A few miles along the coast past Roa Island, you can't miss it on the right by the beach, Bosun's Locker on Roa Island where the road finishes isn't much to look at, but the food was amazing & not very expensive for brunch & a coffee, before heading off along the coast for dessert Yum! :-) Glorius sunshine for 3 days magic :-) 1st visit after 15 years to Coniston, Windermere, Ambleside & William Wordsworth's House & Gardens CA13 9RX, FREE with National Trust Membership worth a visit guided Tour, best to book online if not a member! There wasn't much not to like

I was up and out before breakfast, however every day I chose a different salad with crisps, drink, chocolate bar and fruit that the hotel made up for me ready for me going to work, great touch. Location great for work and local restaurants. The staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful. Shower was very good too.

My room was a bit basic

Fantastic apartment and the location is great but what makes this stay stand out is the fantastic staff the customer service you receive is exceptional nothing is too much trouble from the minute you check in they make you feel like a priority , we were offered an upgrade and customer care is something these guys could teach to a lot of other hotels thank you all so much for a 5 star stay

Nothing at all

Perfect location, staff were so lovely and friendly, apartment was beautiful and clean.

Two minor points would have made this stay like The Ritz - a bigger bed and proper sausages. I mean, they were fine; these are only minor points. Our stay was lovely!

All staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is refurbished and very comfortable. The food is very good and the bar welcome and comfortable. The bedroom exceleent.

Nothing could be done to make things better. We enjoyed our stay. We would definitely return.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and lovely shower. Breakfast and evening meal was delicious Very reasonable.

The stairs.. We are getting on and we felt the stairs. Good exercise but husbands got very breathless. We will ask for a ground floor next time.

Apartment was very nice, staff friendly.

Could do with a full length mirror. External doors to the breakfast area were locked when I tried to pick up a bagged breakfast. Was quite surprised to find my apartment had been cleaned mid way through my stay, would have been nice to know that was happening.

The deluxe apartment was exceptional. Really friendly staff who greet you morning and evening and make a special effort to remember your name, breakfast and preferences. Really personal service.

Staff were lovely and so helpful, can’t emphasise it enough. There was always someone on hand to help if needed.

On the first morning, there was an issue with the hot water but staff were quick to inform and managed to get it sorted even with it being Easter.

Great size apartment, clean and modern, fully equipped kitchen, maids were great, cleaning any left over dishes, clean towels every day etc.

No point in the sky box in the living room can’t get catch up or Netflix etc on it.
