Arrived on bikes and shown to a secure room they were kept in. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Some people have mentioned showers being underpowered but ours (room 8) was fantastic. Beds soft which we like and very comfortable and clean. Lots of tea and coffee which was appreciated after a decent bike ride. Owners very friendly but not overbearing, very pleasant. Good location in the centre of Barton for food/shops.

Nothing at all to complain about really. Toilet slightly noisy with being macerated and carpet worn slightly at bathroom threshold but honestly not even an issue especially for the price.

Staff at the Imaginarium are always so friendly and welcoming. They go the extra mile to make your stay such a pleasant experience. Nothing is too much trouble and they make sure that they attend to your every request. Every staff member at the Imaginarium from the owners to the waiting staff makes you feel at home. They take the time to get to know the purpose of your visit and to make you feel special. The rooms are cosy,very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Each room has it's own individual character and charm. The dining experience is exceptional. The resturant is quirky and has a great atmosphere. The menu has an excellent choice of dishes and the chefs take pride in terms of presentation and offering high quality dishes at affordable prices. The restuarant surrounding has an air of elegance and charm. The fairy lights and the beautiful plants and flowers in the conservatory creates the perfect ambience.The meals both at dinner and breakfast were delicious. The ribs in the evening were so tender, succulent and beautifully seasoned. The full English breakfast is beautiful and is freshly prepared to your liking. Thick cured bacon, sautéed mushrooms, local sauages, fresh vine tomatoes, beans, hash browns, black pudding and eggs cooked to your liking. Every ingredient is quality on a plate. There is no expense spared. The chef also makes his own fresh bread which is divine with proper butter. There are other breakfast options too if you prefer something lighter. We have stayed 5 times at the Imaginariium and I can be quite fussy so this place must be good. If you haven't stayed, you are missing out on this gem of a find. We are already looking forward to returning in the very near future.

Lovely room, very spacious. Very clean and staff exceptionally friendly. We would definitely stay here again. Barton is a lovely little town and the Imaginarium is really well located with a free car park across the road. The food was absolutely excellent, both dinner (which we booked separately) and the fantastic cooked breakfast.

The route up to the room via the back office seemed a bit strange. The furniture in the room was a bit old fashioned and didn't really match the decor, but this is just nitpicking as it is incredibly good value for money.

Friendly staff. You could enter through the bar/restaurant or via a separate entrance via a key code. Room was good, bed comfy. Shower was amazing. Breakfast was available the next day, was really good. I liked that you could have a drink or food downstairs or choose to go elsewhere. The restaurant area was particularly lovely and the menu looked good. Owners on site, so if there was an issue I am sure they would have been able to help. Parking is not an issue, as there is a car park nearby, free after 6pm. Price is great.

It didn't really bother me at all but if you are very particular you do need to walk through a storage type room to get to the bar restaurant. You can however avoid this by using the back exit and go in through the front door. It was for me, a great find and will stay again.

The food is amazing (& the reason we return) and the prices are more than reasonable, we have a 2 hour drive to get here and have been to the restaurant and stayed over 3 times in the last 18 months - discovered by accident due to being regular Premier Inn users and The Imaginarium being more affordable at the time of booking our 1st trip

The whole experience was lovely and personal from the start. The restaurant is beautiful and the room was along a quaint corridor with a lovely simple style. The staff were amazing. We didn't eat in the restaurant but went for a nightcap and the chef was chatting to us about our stay and the area - we felt extremely welcome. We were even invited to join his party. The food in the morning for breakfast was absolutely gorgeous! We even told some friends to come for breakfast who had stayed in another hotel!

I liked almost everything about the place. The premises opened out behind a modest front door into an interestingly decorated bar and lounge, then again into a dining area and yet again into a conservatory dining area. It was like walking into the TARDIS. The rooms upstairs were clean, comfortable and well appointed. The restaurant menu was varied and reasonably priced. The breakfasts were excellent.

Breakfasts were superb, beautifully cooked and plenty of choice. Refills of tea and coffee. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance. We chose the speciality of the evening, which was very well presented, beautifully cooked and flavoursome. Staff very friendly and helpful. It was a pleasure to be in an establishment where excellent customer service prevailed.

Good location in the centre of Barton

There is no “check in desk”. We arrived midway through a wedding celebration that was being held at the venue. There were no staff to be found, it was very busy etc. Not really a problem, but would of been good to have been informed about the situation beforehand, perhaps.

rooms were spotless bed was comfy food excellent, staff excellent, nothing to complain about.

as above ( only niggle was i forgot my fan and there was none available , so lad to go out and buy one) usually i would phone any hotel at time of booking and request a fan and if they didnt have one i would bring my own .
