-The communal lounge, bar, and restaurant meant we didn't have to go out in the bad weather for meals. The food was good and plentiful with the serving staff pleasant. -All the front of house staff were really friendly and helpful, especially housekeeping in sorting extra towels and the maintainence man who was quick to try to fix the issue in the wetroom (see below). -The room was basic, but the bed was comfy, plenty of hanging space and a good sized desk with room under bed for storing cases. -Reasonable walking distance from the rail/bus station. - Very little noise from other users in corridors etc.

-The floor in the accessible wetroom was slanting away from drain, causing water to run down to the opposite end of the room, we had to make a dam out of towels to contain the water. -Only one very small bin (in the bathroom) with none in bedroom. -The accessible room would not really be suitable for wheelchair users due to the size/layout of the room. -While the hotel is on a main road, it was set back a little, meaning the signage isn't visible unless you are upon it, someone asked uf we knew where it was and in the end we walked down together. -No sockets close to the beds. Out of the two sockets on the desk, one was plugged into the phone for reception.

The location of the Ibis very close to the city centre is superb. It is only 3 minutes walk to the railway station. The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom is small but functional. I arrived after dark and couldn't assess the view from the window. Even though the hotel is located on a busy crossing the room was quiet. The best thing about the hotel is the friendliness and can-do attitude of the staff. I wanted to leave my bag in the store room so I could explore the city and that was no problem at all - even though I arrived at the hotel 8 hours before the official check in time.

My husband and I came to Hull for a snooker tournament at the Bonus Arena. The hotel is located centrally, only a five-minute walk from the train/bus station and near a lot of restaurants and takeaways. The room was clean and had all the necessaries; the bathroom was clean and well equipped with toiletries and good quality towels. The breakfast was fresh and very good; there was a good selection of hot and cold food and we even got to make sausage sandwiches for the trip back. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was facing Ferensway but was very quiet. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Nothing - we enjoyed every bit of our stay.

The location was good , being close to the train station, Marina and Old Town. The staff were friendly, the mattress was just right for me so I had a good night's sleep both nights and not much noise from outside or other guests. The shower was nice and strong even if the bathroom was a little cramped

The view from the hotel window was grim, the window lock which prevented it being open too wide had been unscrewed which gave a sense that the room wasn't completely cared for. Not the most luxurious hotel but it provided what I wanted at a decent price

Friendly staff, room size good and bed comfortable, quiet nights sleep. Breakfast - there were lots of options, cereals, pastries, cooked breakfast, fruit, yoghurts and you could eat and drink as much as you wanted. Close to train station and bars, restaurants, car park not far from hotel to park 3 pounds for 24 hours.

Air conditioning, just blew hot air around the room. A drunk person was sleeping outside the front of the hotel; we went outside to check that he was okay, which he was.

it’s in a nice location and not far from the train station and the town centre and the docks.

I loved my room I stayed in room 330 and I would like to stay in the same room when I come to stay again, but I think the room could of been cleaned a bit better as there were stains on the door and walls. when I was having a shower I looked down and a saw a long black hair on the wall of the shower and I have short blond hair, I think the room could do with a fresh lick of paint but otherwise I was happy and comfortable with my room.

The staff make all the difference, very attentive but not in your face. Come over as very genuine and have always been very helpful and good humoured on my visits. Food choices are good, rooms have been spacious, clean and bed very comfortable. I like the pseudo cabin style bathroom and the showers are brilliant, very roomy and water always very hot.

Not within the hotel's control but given the hotel is bang on corner of a main junction I think it's very odd there's no pedestrian signal option at adjacent roads so you always feel you are taking a gamble on crossing the roads!

was a 4 minute walk to the arena where I was attending for the weekend, the room was lovely, had everything I needed such as a wardrobe, a table and chair to work on, a tv, was perfect!

during our second night, my mum and I were woken up by a washing machine sound that was very loud, my mum went to the reception and was told it was the water pipes and couldn’t be helped, we were offered a room change but at 2:30 am we couldn’t be bothered, staff were amazing and couldn’t apologise enough, after 20 minutes the noise stopped

Bed was the most comfortable Ive ever slept in. Ensuite unit is quirky, well laid out, a great use of space, the shower was great. All consumable items provided were really good (soap, shampoo etc) the price for the night was extremely good!

The decor in the room is starting to look careworn, although actually I found it very charming, everything was functional and well arranged. It's very tired state may put off other travellers. But this is a minor gripe. I had a great stay!

I loved the customer service, we were greeted with lovely smiles, as we rocked up with bikes, and she instantly asked us if we would like a ground floor room. Never had this experience before from a hotel. Also in the morning when we were venturing off the staff called us over and mentioned that I have left my snood on the counter and they kept it close and communicated with the next/morning team to ensure I had it ready for the ride that we were embarking on.

It actually met all our expectations.
