Great location, big rooms all en suite, excellent breakfast. Restaurant and bar menus are a bit limited but everything is cooked to order so is nice and fresh. Also the cooked breakfast and hot meals are served on extremely hot plates which means your meal isn't cold before you can finish it. I personally hate a hot meal on a cold plate. They have a good selection of ales. If you fancy a snack then I can recommend the pint of fish and chips!

I thought the bed was fine but my wife thought it was a bit too hard for her.

Enjoyed the food both dinner and breakfast were very good. Bar area was comfortable and lively. Beds were also very comfortable.

We had a problem just after going to bed on Saturday night - about 11.30 when there was a dreadfully loud noise. We had no idea what it was and rang the emergency number. Beth answered and suggested it might have something to do with the radiators. The one outside our room was checked and switched off and we had to switch off all the radiators in our room. When the bathroom one was switched off the noise stopped. There were no more problems after that but it was very unsettling at the time.

The room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, and included local and good quality produce.; one of the best that we have eaten. As my husband is partially disabled, and we were travelling with our 2 dogs, Claire looked after us with care, bringing everything we needed from the buffet table. It was really refreshing to have such attentive service at breakfast (not every establishment thinks that breakfast service is that important!)

It was a shame that the dogs didn't get their goodie bags on arrival, but Claire sorted that for us!

Nice old Georgian coaching inn, rooms refurbished to a good standard. Friendly, helpful staff and a good breakfast. Property was central and well placed for getting to other places as well as a good range of local places to eat. Left car and got local bus to Hull which was great.

En suite was small but well presented. We had the corner room (2) which was very noisy due to local traffic from Wren kitchen factory early in the morning. We would stay again though we would just ask for a different room when booking.

The staff are fantastic they really make you feel welcome and very attentive during service. Our room (6) was to the side of the property, it looked recently updated which was beautifully done. Just need to replace the windows then everything would be perfect. Lovely large King sized bed which had a good quality mattress, resulting in two fantastic nights sleep. Great little extras, fridge, coffee machine and fresh milk and bottled water. The breakfast was delicious all freshly cooked and well worth the wait. Would highly recommend the restaurant on site, great menu, good quality produce and all cooked to order. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back.

With the George Inn being a pub check in was a little awkward, having to wait at the bar until you are served just didn't feel right.

We came here as part of my partner's birthday celebration and this place is absolutely top notch. The staff were really lovely and made up a table for me and my partner in the restaurant downstairs, even though the restaurant was full and we had no reservation as we spontaneously decided to have dinner there and not somewhere else (most places would never do that so we were very grateful and the food was HEAVENLY by the way☺), the cooked breakfast was also absolutely beautiful with great unlimited coffee and a nice continental spread, the facilities in the room were very good (lots of extra pillows and the nice coffee machine was an added bonus!) and the bed was absolutely phenomenal! Slept like a baby lol If we ever need to stay overnight near the Hull area again, The George Inn will be our first choice! 😊

Lovely modern & comfortable room. Staff all very friendly and helpful, esp lady who cleaned the bedrooms - she was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Lunch in pub very tasty. Will definitely stay here again when in area.

Breakfast was a bit of a let down, timings very short - 8 til 9 too early for us when on a break, we did go down on Saturday but choice limited would have liked a croissant or Danish but none available.

The pub B&B was a very good choice and the dinner we had there and the breakfasts were both good. There was parking because we got there early to check in although I guess there are only about ten spots but fine for us. There was good wifi reception so we could check emails and listen to Radio Caroline on their internet broadcasts! The beer we had was good although I forget the name (a light bitter). The town had some interesting features (the oldest church and the Victorian school museum). The UK made Hypnos bed was very comfortable.

Did they have to buy Made in China TVs (Hisense) after what they do to the environment and the mistreated workers in their supply chains? You can still get very good European made TVs.

we had a warm welcome and our dog was welcomed with a treat. The bed was really comfortable and our room was clean, warm and cosy. The breakfast was great. We could have our dog with us in the bar at breakfast and she was given sausages.

The owner changed our room to a bigger one when he saw that we had a big dog. He also said there would be a dog bed in the room. The room was a bit cramped with the dog and the dog bed wasn’t there, so I’m guessing the message didn’t get through. This didn’t matter too much though.

Friendly and attentive staff. The family room was a good size and comfortable for the 4 of us. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. There was a nice selection of fruit, yoghurts and drinks along with the cooked breakfast which were all good quality and cooked nicely. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

We had to go down to the bar to ask for the wifi code. It would have been better if this was already in the room.
