Stayed 3 nights. Stunning old manor with sea views. Cosy comfortable room. Very good breakfast. Huge gardens. If (!) the weather allows it there is a beautiful outside terrace. Lovely meal in the restaurant. Good wines. Someone made efforts with the interior design. It is very interesting.
What I mention now is nothing which did spoil our stay. Just mentioning. The service in the evenings (we stayed 3 nights) was a bit slow, seemed to forget us sometimes. The interior design is beautiful and quite modern, but a bit cold. For me - but I am a romantic - the furnishing in an old manor should be more cozy / plushy. But I guess my point of view here is old-fashioned ;-) The view between the manor and the sea (on one side) opens to a holiday home settlement. Not the fault of the hotel, obviously.

This property is a beautiful building in stunning setting, the rooms are lovely and the cleanliness of the room and the hotel was excellent. Our evening meal and breakfast was very good, and the staff were extremely helpful and polite. I would certainly stay again.
Just a couple of criticisms. The mattress on the bed was very firm, but that is down to personal preference. The pillows weren’t great, went flat quite quickly, so no support for the head & neck whilst sleeping. I expect to pay inflated prices in a hotel of this standard but £7.50 for Guinness out of a can on surge is a little extortionate.

The attention to detail was exceptional, Marshall Meadows Manor House is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We were well and truly spoiled. From the moment we arrived and booked in to been shown to our room, it was just wonderful. We stayed for dinner, and the food was out of this world. From drinks and canopies in the drawing room to been taken through to the restaurant, we felt like royalty. It was wonderful. The staff are amazing, always smiling, and always happy. Breakfast was bountiful and delicious. The location is superb, and the coastline is spectacular, we walked to the border, and the views were amazing. We didn't want to leave. Thank you, everybody.
Nothing.

We didn’t stay for breakfast, but the dinner we had the night before was excellent. Our room was comfortable and quiet.
Just a very minor quibble. The system for going in to dinner seemed just a little overly formal and our 8pm request for dinner was nearer 9.30pm, after being summoned to have canapés and drinks beforehand, at 7.50pm, then waiting to be led to our table. The food was vey good and we reckoned it was probably how it should be, giving the chef time to prepare each diner’s food with care.

The staff from start to finish were amazing. The room was perfect and so comfortable and big. They loved having the dog with me and treated the dog as well as myself? Water bowl in room upon arrival, a little welcome box of treats for dog. Views onto the garden area at the front. Perfect areas to walk the dog. Dog was welcomed in the restaurant and bar area. Cocktail bar was lovely and relaxed, with a nice sofa in front of the lovely Christmas tree. Had a pre dinner drink in the bar where I had come complimentary canapes and a drink. They also were aware it was my birthday and gave me a free drink. Dinner was amazing- had two courses. Ribeye steak was A+. Went back to the bar for a couple of more drinks before a end of night dog-walk around the grounds and bed. Breakfast next morning was lovely and they came out with a sausage for the dog so she was not left out!
Absolutely nothing. Was an amazing hotel and stay. Wished I could have stayed longer. Well done hotel and staff! You will see me again.

Absolutely everything! This place has an almost magical quality. I first visited in November for my birthday and was blown away at how idyllic it was, how fabulous the staff were, and what a fantastic walk in breathtaking scenery could be had along the coast. I booked for our anniversary, this time with a hot tub and a terrace. Quite honestly, heaven, couldn't fault it, any of it. The shower is excellent (they so often disappoint, not here). Bed is just wonderful. The tasting menu is out of this world. Any one of the amazing dishes served, I would have had as a stand-alone, but the treat of having exactly the right amount of each was perfection. The staff make it what it is in all fairness to them; the warm hospitality you receive immediately, the attention to detail, is superb. It is the epitome of relaxed glamour.

The property is in a good location, off the A1 motorway, a couple of miles north of Berwick-upon-Tweed. It is set back from the road so there is no traffic noise. There is ample parking. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful. The room was a good size and was spotlessly clean. The bed and pillow were comfortable and the shower was good.
The room was uncomfortably hot overnight and the window did not open. There was a fan in the room, which was on all night, but unfortunately had limited effect. Breakfast service was slow and disjointed; I asked about dairy free milk (which they have) and then waited over 10 minutes with my bowl of cereal for it to arrive. We were with friends, and their order for hot food was taken separately and before ours, so we watched each other eat.

Marshall Meadows is a beautifully renovated period building in very fine grounds. Booking and check in were simple. Staff were very helpful. Our room was spacious, well appointed, very quiet and clean. The bed was very comfortable so we slept well. Breakfast was excellent with both cold food and a selection of hot dishes. We also dined in the restaurant and thought the food both very good and well priced. We only stayed one night but wished it had been longer. There was ample parking but I would advise parking in the open area not under the trees as we did because there are many birds in these trees.

A fabulous location, so close to the border crossing into Scotland. The view from our room window was of the North Sea and we had the bonus of seeing horses and ponies in the local fields. Parking was no problem and our room was ideal. We enjoyed breakfast every morning and the bonus was the friendly staff - not only at Reception but mainly at breakfast time. We had a good relationship with Kerry and others, who always smiled and gave good advice about the local area.
Nothing to dislike at all.

The staff were so helpful, and great hosts; very attentive and friendly. My partner and I enjoyed using the hot tub during our stay; lovely to sit and watch the sun come up surrounded by nature. The views are lovely, and the pods come fully equipped with everything you need to for a pampering trip.
The only 2 things to note are the lack of outside lighting near the hot tub, and the wireless chargers beep quite loudly when your phone is charged; we discovered this during the night whilst trying to sleep.
