I think The Old Parsonage was the best B&B I have ever stayed in. The location was restful and the view from our bedroom window was a delightful patchwork of fields and trees. There was no traffic noise. The house is decorated extremely tastefully and the room was spacious and very comfortable. Care had been taken to ensure every need was met. The bathroom was spacious and warm with good quality bath products and fluffy towels. Breakfast was delicious, well cooked with a wide variety of home made jams etc available. The menu was excellent and ensured you were not hungry for most of the day. Lynn was an exceptional host -welcoming and warm. Tea and cake were offered on arrival which again was delicious and welcome. Thank you for making our stay so perfect.

After a 4 hour drive it was wonderful to be greeted with a smile, a pot of tea and a lovely home baked cake in this beautiful rural location. Our room was light, airy and immaculately clean. From the fresh farm eggs to the delicious lightly smoked bacon, and everything else you could wish for, breakfast was fantastic. Vegans and vegetarians do not despair, there is much to titillate the palette. The Parsonage is really well situated for visiting local attractions and eateries with so much within a 20 mile radius; try Holy Island or Bamborough Castle.

Having to leave.

Comfortable and spacious surroundings. Lovely atmosphere and a very warm welcome and personal service from the owner. Excellent choice of fruit, juices, cereals and yogurt. Range of cooked choices. Excellently cooked and nicely presented.

There was nothing to dislike. The house was comfortable with everything necessary for an enjoyable and trouble free stay. Tea and cake on arrival made us feel really at home. Lovely lounge with television, choice of DVDs and good WiFi reception. Very restful and quiet. Beautiful garden filled with birdsong and local wildlife.

Beautiful property. Very comfortable and quiet. Lynne was so welcoming and accommodating. She picked us up from the station when we arrived, welcomed us with tea and cake, and gave us loads of recommendations for things to do locally. Room was big, beds super comfy, and breakfast was delicious. A really restful stay. We'll be back.

Honestly nothing! Our stay was exactly what we were looking for.

Breakfast is fantastic with a huge range of choices, to meet every diet and taste you may have. The presentation and food are first class with a lovely view of the gardens. The rooms are extremely well furnished with top-quality items. The quiet relaxed atmosphere is perfect for those seeking some peace after a busy day out exploring the beautiful Northumberland coastline. Having visited the area a number of times over the years there is simply no better place to stay as far as we are concerned.

Nothing, it is the perfect place to stay.

Breakfast very good wide range of delicious choices and quality excellent. The owner was attentive and welcoming and friendly. Lots of interesting Borders castles towns and seaside within easy reach.

Only negative was the distance from any town or village services meaning you could not walk out for a drink or food nearby and as there was none in the House it required driving and driver abstemiousness.

Breakfast was excellent, and nothing was too much trouble for the owner. The house was beautiful, it was luxuriously furnished and the owner was extremely thoughtful and attentive. I was made to feel very welcome with tea and cake on arrival, and the owner Lynn could not have done more. I was looking for a peaceful location for a few days and certainly found it. It is my intention to return with my husband hopefully sometime next year.

Beautifully restored property. We had the tree top room, more than enough room for my 6foot 7 son. The shower is a great size. Lynne is a lovely caring hostess. The breakfast can be celiac friendly - Lynne obtained appropriate bread and sausage. With separate toaster for the bread.

Nothing - even in the rain it was great

We were made to feel very welcome throughout our visit. Nothing is to much trouble for Lynn the owner. The property is immaculate throughout. Our room was spacious and a home from home. Breakfast is an occasion, not just a meal. Lynn's bespoke cooked breakfast was the best start to the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return should we visit this beautiful area in the future.

We had one of our best holidays ever using the Old Parsonage Country House as a base. We were met by Lynne with tea and cake when we arrived and things just got better from there. Fantastic cooked breakfasts, luxurious rooms, and Lynne made us feel so welcome and comfortable. Am already planning my next stay. 10 out of 10 experience.
