Staff were fantastic- a great team. Great location- right alongside the River Severn. Very short walk into town, and public car park a minute away and very reasonable.Good range of beer and drinks. Great food on Monday night- Jose recommended the chefs special which was fantastic! Good breakfast too which you order the night before.
Food was ok on Sunday evening, but not as good as the food on Monday! Couldn't quite work out this logic- we are a couple in mid and late 60's and we're given a room on the second floor in the cottage-we have a dog- up very steep and winding stairs which were a challenge with bags. The young lady offered many times to help us but we carried on. Next morning we found out from a member of staff that the ground floor room was empty for the duration of our stay. Just a little thought when you see the people who arrive and adapt accordingly- I appreciate the staff do not know the age of the customer on booking. Bed was very low for older people I thought. To emphasize, the staff throughout our stay were all brilliant.

Room was lovely and warm. Very clean and spacious. Clever use of space in such an old building - very good shower room. There is a fridge in the room with fresh milk and bottles of water and plenty of tea, coffee and even hot chocolate as well as biscuits provided. We were on the top floor, you have to be very careful because of the low beams and small doorway - NOT a complaint at all, its so old, lovely. We were clearly warned and there are notices to remind you.
Unfortunately the bed seemed to be a bit broken or the mattress wasn't great on one side. It's a low bed, understandably given the room, but it was definitely sloping down on one side. A shame because otherwise it was really comfortable! Also, behind the bed the socket was damaged and actually looked quite dangerous. Both things that could be easily fixed.

Fantastic spacious room overlooking the river. It was all spotlessly clean, and everything we needed was provided for. The showrer was great, and we were really impressed by the size of the bathroom. We were a bit worried that it might be a bit noisy being right on the river front with lots of people around, but it wasn't and we weren't disturbed at all. We particularly enjoyed having real milk in the mini bar fridge for our coffee in the morning. We were really sorry we couldn't spend more time there as we were on a bit of a rushed visit, but we will definitely try and get back to The Mug House again...

Lovely dog friendly pub accommodation, we stayed in the ground floor cottage room. Very comfortable beds and large room. Excellent staff, nothing too much trouble, all very friendly. We had two evening meals, which were very good, and a large glass of house wine was £5, which is an excellent price for a restaurant.
Didn't like a wet room, I prefer a bathroom, but that was just our preference.

Very good welcome, we were shown to our room and everything we needed to know was explained. Car parking very close by, but no longer free! The Mug House stopped giving out car park passes a couple of years ago. Wasn’t expensive and not a problem. Breakfast is an extra £10 per person. The building is 16th century, updated in Georgian times, and it’s also Listed so it’s full of wonderful character features!
Only a couple of minor issues which we raised with our host directly, they were very appreciative of our drawing their attention to them. All was resolved.

Clean and very comfortable. Good selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate and biscuits that were restocked. The additional small heater helped the second evening (for a short time) as the temperature dropped. Very quiet and peaceful, no noise from the pub and didn't even realise guests upstairs had a dog staying. Perfect location for our needs.
Referring to the additional heater, maybe we wouldn't have needed it - the door that leads to the courtyard at the back of the property (locked) has a glass window, this made the room colder. Maybe a thick curtain would be of benefit.

Breakfast/ all food was lovely, good choice and very tasty. Friendly welcoming staff to us and pets. Beautiful location-right by the river Nice to have fridge in room and fresh milk in a bottle
No parking, car park near by, just over £6 for 24 hours, Few spiders/ cobwebs but understandable in an old cottage style building

What can we say? but thank you. The Staff are amazing so helpful and nothing is too much trouble, these guys never stop. The food in the evening was excellent we both loved it and the beer was excellent too. We were both not wanting to leave on Friday morning, the location is breathtaking in a beautiful town. Thank you all for 3 amazing days.
The only thing we could say is the furniture in our room could do with updating, but that's it

Quaint and quirky, mostly very positive.
Only criticism I would make would be with regards to the lighting in the rooms, which were both under lit, accepting that it’s a difficult problem was because of their shapes. However the lighting could been better, for instance the bathroom mirror having its own illumination, but really not a major problem.

The room was comfortable, clean and well-stocked. It was a lovely surprise to find water and fresh milk in the fridge. The evening meals were superb (steak/sea bass) with friendly, amusing (and competent!) service. The situation was excellent, right by the River Severn. We were lucky with the Mediterranean-style weather which added to the perfect stay.
Nothing really. Parking was a little tricky until we sussed it out, but this was not the fault of the hotel.
