The parking is plentiful and very close to the entrance. The hotel is a stunning period building, beautifully decorated for the Christmas period which gave a lovely ambience in reception. There was a welcoming member of staff on arrival, and a no-fuss check in. Great WiFi, and a comfy and warm room awaited. The room was well equipped, quiet, with nice towels and basic toiletries provided. The tea and coffee making facilities were appreciated. Good black-out curtains ensured a peaceful night’s sleep. Check out was no fuss and I was helped to the car with my luggage by the lady who was waiting to service the room. Thank you, I really appreciated that!

Not very much to dislike here, it’s a great place to stay and I will definitely use this hotel again. If I was to pick a couple of things, I would say that the tv was very small, but this wasn’t really a priority for me. Could have done with some shampoo/conditioner but I brought my own anyway. I didn’t try the restaurant but a basic room service type menu would have been welcomed and I would have used that service.

I love this property and stay here whenever I can.

There didn’t appear to be hardly any staff available. I saw one person, but couldn’t find them several times during my stay, I couldn’t find anyone. This included when I checked out, it’s a shame as that customer service element needs to be there. I’d have liked to enjoy a drink in the bar and even though I could have again I went into the bar and no one around. The staff I met were incredibly lovely but there is just no presence on reception which is important in a hotel, they are the first face you see. Shame that breakfast isn’t in the hotel anymore, I personally book here to experience the hotel interior. Harley’s ok but really not the same

The 'Nursery Room' was very elegant and suited our traditional tastes perfectly. Cozy and homely unlike many of the current trends. Bed was super comfortable! Bathroom was of very high quality and elegant style.

We do normally choose 'breakfast included' for convenience and time issues and were aware of the lack of on site options so killed two birds with one stone by breakfasting during our visit into Kinver village in a place (several possible) of our chòosing . We found this more convenient than changing venue to a breakfast venue opposite the hotel that was not in keeping with our hotel experience.

The hotel is a beautiful old manor, well maintained. You feel like you're stepping back in time, staying at an estate of a wealthy lord. The room was comfortable and had modern facilities. The staff were helpful with storing my bike overnight in a safe place.

I had expected to enjoy a drink and a dinner in the hotel in the same atmosphere of a "lord's castle". Rooms in the hotel were available for sitting...but you had to go next door for the bar and restaurant. I believe much of the other rooms in the hotel are used for events. The next door bar/restaurant was good with good, helpful staff, but it wasn't the same ambiance as an old manor. Not what I expected.

It is a really lovely building with gorgeous rooms, in a beautiful setting. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there; the views were great, the room was well decorated and had period-appropriate furniture which I really appreciated. It was a very restful stay for me passing through on my own, but it would be perfect for a romantic holiday or a peaceful getaway as well. Or a wedding, of course! It is in the countryside but also on the edge of a village with lots of amenities and close to several others. Pubs, restaurants and shops were all within easy reach.

Although staff were very polite and welcoming and I was shown to my room, there was no offer to help with my luggage, nor with that of the guest who checked in immediately before me. Since there are stairs rather than a lift to get your luggage to the rooms this might make things very difficult for some guests. And while I absolutely loved the huge bed I slept in once I was in it, it was so high off the ground that I had real difficulties getting up into it! The hotel might want to consider that the Victorians (and indeed those preceding them) used bed steps to get into their high-framed beds, and they are still a good idea. I did have a look around the room but couldn't see any...

Lovely room, tastefully decorated, and spotlessly clean. The view out over the patio and pond was lovely. A very comfortable bed. The tea tray was replenished daily and the room was also cleaned. The shower was really powerful. The staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of free parking. Nice walks around the hotel, and plenty to do in the area.

The grout in the bathroom and the bathroom ceiling were mouldy. The towels were rather tatty. It let down what was otherwise a fantastic room and a luxurious place to stay. It would’ve been nice to have an information pack.

Beautiful historic hotel, well preserved. Each room is charming and respectfully decorated while still having modern amenities. Huge amazing bath in mine as well as a little window seat. Each room is charming and respectfully decorated while still having modern amenities. Huge amazing bath in mine as well as a little window seat.

Window seat upholstery was torn. The bath was lovely, but there were no operating instructions on the Jacuzzi jets. (I’ve never stayed anywhere with a Jacuzzi bath!) I didn’t use them because I wasn’t sure how they operated, but they came on intermittently of their own accord as the bath was draining and I couldn’t turn them off. After a few cycles they eventually stopped.

The room was lovely and beautifully furnished. It was nice and cosy once we worked out how to turn the heat up. There was only 1 chair (which was comfy) which meant one of us had to sit on the bed. This was fine though as there were cushions as well as pillows on the bed. The bathroom was wonderfully furnished, spacious and clean. Best shower EVER! Really good warm blast of water. Person or recption was very helpful and friendly.

There wasn't really anything I didn't like. There was no one on reception on arrival and they didn't come when we rang the bell. Eventually the receptionist arrived and booked us in.

The hotel was full of character, it was very clean, the bedroom was spacious and comfortable. We loved the lounge and the roaring fire. The grounds are attractive and we loved the local village Kinver.

The only problem was lack of a hotel bar, restaurant or any type of refreshment on site. As stated we loved the roaring fire and the lounge - how nice it would have been to have tea and scones or a bottle of wine!

The hotel was beautiful, very historic, the staff were very friendly and helpful, my room was lovely , will definitely stay again but will ask for a different room next time

The mattress on the bed was terrible, you could feel the springs and it didn't matter what side you slept on you felt like you were going to roll out of bed sleeping in the middle of the bed felt like you were sleeping on a mound, didn't sleep a wink
