Wow, what a Gem of a Guesthouse, location is great , easy access to town, yet quietly out of the way. My room was nicely furnished, extremely clean, comfortable, well stocked with tea/coffee/water biscuits, good nights sleep, even enjoyed a lie in. Fantastic to have a separate shared lounge/dining room with use of a microwave and toaster. Suzanne the Housekeeper is a diamond, all the cleaning and laundry is done onsite, she ensures all is kept clean, always has a smile plus checks guests have everything they need. 100% recommend and definitely will book again.

The small, single room had everything I needed for my one night stay. The bathroom was clean. The key code worked easily, allowing entrance into the building, and the instructions to get to my room were clear, although I wasn't aware when I booked that it was a non-staffed guesthouse. There was plenty of tea and coffee. I was also able to park in the small area outside. It was good value.

Although it was clean, the room felt 'tired' and could do with a paint freshen-up. The bed had a very soft mattress, and the bed linen had a washed-out feel to it. As it was just off the main road, I had to keep the window closed because of traffic noise.

It is close to the town. It is clean and quiet.

The bed and the duvet were small for two people. We couldn't find or see any stuff there. There is no communication between staff and guests. We didn't know where to get the keys or which room we were in. I had to send messages to them to ask what I needed to do. Same things apply for the leaving process. I called the number to ask where I need to leave the keys but no one replied. There is no information at all.

No fuss or issues, clean, key codes sent before arrival, so didn't actually see any staff. we booked a double and a family room. Parents loved the double room and slept well. We had the family room which was ample size for 3-4. Parking spaces for 4-5 cars but tight. Served purpose for one night stay whilst attending a family event in nearby Sandy. Plenty of places for breakfast close by in lovely little village.

In the family room....the shower cubicle was a bit tight on space for an average sized person. Complimentary toiletries only enough for 1-2 people. Tea/coffee facilities...only one tea bag although plenty of coffee but no spoons!

The Stratton Cottage provided a big clean room with a comfortable bed. Although we didn't get the opportunity to use it, the communal area looked spacious and well appointed too. The accommodation is very close to the pleasant town centre. Finally, I need to thank Jake who was really helpful and allowed us to leave the car for a few hours after check-out.

It's a very small grumble, but it was hard to get the right mix using the bath taps for the shower.

comfy bed , decent facilities , good value.

BAD CHECK IN : we did not receive any check in instructions from booking.com , we were left stranded outside an unmanned building. We eventually found the phone number of the place and the lady had to talk us through how to get inside the build and the room using a combination of key lock numbers. Why this wasn't sent to us by booking.com we dont know, but we could have really done without all the hassle at check in. the room was a little cramped and you could not both walk by each other at the bottom of the bed, , it was one at a time. Tiny FLAT TV was a little "old school".

no breakfast was included with this property

the door and room codes that were sent was good unfortunately the instructions to get in the front door were incorrect, my instruction was to enter the door code and rotate the door handle clockwise. doing this would not open the door it was another guest who helped me he showed me his phone which said turn the handle anti clockwise and this opened the door. very tight and limited car parking.

Lovely clean and comfy room. Lots of tea bags and milk. Quiet location and very central, near to the train station and town.

Check is 4.00 pm and you cannot arrive earlier - you receive a text just after 4.00 pm to receive a code to gain access and your room number even though I told them I would be a little earlier due to work commitments. No staff are contactable before this time.

Comfortable bed and cosy room. Housekeeper welcomed me while I was getting out my phone for the code, let me in and insisted on carrying all of my luggage upstairs. In our conversation it came out that I was staying for my sister's funeral next day and when I returned next evening she had pushed a sympathy card under my door, that was personal service.

Very hard to use full length mirror properly because of other furniture, would have been better elsewhere. Shower set for very tall people and could not be lowered, needs fixing. Told I could have had a ground floor room, no mention of this on Booking.com. A chair would have been nice.
